Another difference you can understand between fake and real one, by pressing analog stick. you heard silent voice when you press real one. you heard strong noise when you press fake one.

what really gives it away is the L3 and R3 making a clicking sound
i bought a xbox 360 controller but i was not happy with the performance
so i ask the seller if i could replace it with ps4 v2 just gonna add for payment
he said yes but he told me to come back the next day.
so i had this doubt that he might give me a fake one, so i watched several videos including yours, so i can learn
to determine the differences, and i was right he actually tried to give me a fake one.

Ya I bought a fake controller on ebay (without knowing) and when I started playing I INSTANTLY knew something was wrong.

I noticed that too. That was more noticeable than the color difference on camera.
I did research before buy new dualshock4 and seller send me photos for dualshock4. I think he sell fake dualshock4, I added photos in my comment but youtube remove it, how can I sent photos to you for what you think is it fake or original? thanks for the video
I think you can tell by using it the fakes ones are ussually lighter, feel cheap and have bad calibration on the analog sticks.. they typically have outer deadzones.. also you might notice sometimes the input lag is bad on fakes.. and the vibration feels terrible
Notice the fake one doesn't have the option or share font on top of the buttons

Actually if you look closer the back has another difference. The real one has a larger bar code. Also, even if the fake ones were worth it, nobody should buy them anyway because those sellers selling fakes are stealing and making money off something that doesn't belong to them. It's really sad that the first and only reason that people seem to mention why not to buy them is because they aren't worth it!
Some people and traders disrespect and hate the ones who ask and really care about original devices, is it reasonable to buy a fake device any device phone or controller or mouse or a game disc or anything for an expensive price and lasts with you 2 months while an original device lasts with you years but pay more, pay more for an original thing better than pay less for a fake one
I’d like to disagree- at first I was like you, I purchased one online, cheaper & honestly I can’t tell the difference- playing gta online it doesn’t come up at all- not saying all fakes are like this as some could be faulty but it’s honestly worth having a look into
fake ds4 have frequent analog drift and jittery you can fix it by cleaning the analog stick (you have to disassemble it) it will return after a week if your lucky a month you can only fix this by changing the wire inside of the analog (circle wire stick to the white plastic) and there's small input delay on fakes noticeably when playing fps online games.
if you are playing fps online i suggest to use the original if you are a casual player fake won't be a problem.
@@johnWick-lu3evto be honest real ones also drift. Check out ifix its video all controllers might start to drift after 500 hrs of gameplay
@@tgdude6379 yep some original controller drift too but not as fast as the fakes my 2 years old orig don't have drift issue.
there's some good fakes too but it's really hard to tell until you look inside. my 3 fakes all have different board and battery the good one have a serial code on the board and have black analog stick (the one where you can open and clean)
BTW all fakes have bluetooth issue slow and low range high ping when your 1 to 2 meter away from the bluetooth receiver.

Guys i was so upset and i was thinking my controller is fake bc in the back of the box it said ,,actual product may differ slightly from product imagery” but i saw that in the real one it also says that :)
man man the real one have a logo on the top the place where ther is light you can see that the fake one dosent have the logo sony
Our big retail chain Media Markt has got PS4 controller shipments a while ago.. They still have stock in the stores, demand is basically non existant..
I instantly purchased one. There have been no original PS4 controllers for years.. All of them are fake. Sony simply did not produce anything.
But in 2022 they plan to ship PS4 consoles and they already shipped PS4 controller.. But I would contact your major retailers and not some shady small stores..

I have a original Box right here, and yes the retail box is 99% the best way to identify a copy..
But mine has written PS4 controller in more languages then yours.. 7 lines.. So not even that is 100%
From your video the only real difference is the grey line at the bottom of the back of the box 2:32
Original has it light grey, almost silver.. It looks very different on the copy.. Black and it is not a straight line..

@@hasandlk yes since ps5 dropped. try ordering 1 in the official store. u will be sent to common stores which mostly can't deliver because there are none in stock. if it even links you, some colors are completely gone
@@darkdestructer very bad. I watched many review videos about fake controller and controllers' sticks are no sensitive and lot of them comes with stick drift. I have original controller but it had stick drift on L3. I don't know what will I do...
@@hasandlk my original controller i bought in a store 3y ago , started having some issues bc of age and like dropping once or twice over the years. so yea Im actually kinda clueless what to do, since stores dont deliver and 95% of controllers on available sites look fishy or 'fake'. only left is buying them overpriced from trusty sellers on ebay/amazon and co I guess, which is what Im about to do since I need a controller lol. Would also just upgrade to ps5 but those are also not available, sony cmon..
@@hasandlk i legit had to spend 90bucks for an overpriced original on ebay.sucks but hey better than not having a controller. there is always the option to buy parts and repair it urself, youtube tutorials are pretty alright.

He should have compared both of them with the original controller which came with the PS4.....cause there are arrows on the D-pad which are clear to see on real one(As per this video), but the fake one(as per the video) has faint arrows on D-pad, which on researching I got to know that they are the REAL ones which have faint arrows on D-pad
But it’s ok if it’s a fake one , atleast you can still use it and connect it to your iPad
