Before the tune, you gotta clean all the oil out of the ME and replace the engine harness, lol. Then after that, replace bank 2 cylinder head for #5 cylinder leaking from worn valve guides. then tune it. oh how I love the M278.

Adapter harness for cam sensors will also help prevent oil from getting into the M.E. But you must catch it before the problem occurs.

I hear ya, the real early M278's (MY13) has the oil issue from the DI injectors. ( there oil cooled and they would reek havoc on the ME. I think you guys are local to me. I'm the shop foreman at MB of Delray beach
