He's got a ton of hardcore fans and still does numbers whenever he puts anything out on CZcams but the rap game has changed dramatically since we first came to know of him so I was interested to get him into the studio for a chat about where he's coming from, what he's been up to and where he fits into the rap game in 2018. Vasco Sustelo well I should say in my opinion, but still I feel it’s a pretentious, idiotic statement, for a few reasons. One, “real” and “wack,” are objective terms in this context, but what he means, is that artists with dumbed down music are successful, and people mindlessly follow them, while artists with more dense and thoughtful music aren’t. For one, he acts like he has some profound understanding of popular music, when he doesn’t. His music itself is by no means dense, insightful, or interesting, but there are tons of artists that are successful, and whose music possess those traits. Plus he makes it seem like everyone who listens to music that doesn’t try to be profound, is stupid, and mindless, when in reality people listen to it, because it’s so ridiculous, entertaining, catchy, or just enjoyable. So yeah I feel it’s just a false narrative and a dumb statement.

I wish i could just directly tell Hopsin that he's an extraordinary rapper. The fact that he can appeal to so many different people shows how much of a genius he is and how versatile his style is. I appreciate every song he puts out and with every album he releases i go out of my way to listen to every track because there is so much hidden gold within them. I'm definitely not one of his "original" fans but when i discovered him, i knew i would be a life-long fan. I always look forward to all of his releases, albums, and social statements etc. I hope he always stays true to himself and keeps going on what he feels is right because so far, it hasn't lost my attention. I just wanted to say all that because i appreciate him as an artist and as a person. Hope i can see him at another show.
Eminem threw a shout out to Hopsin on his new album on the Fall track, thought that was pretty cool cuz Em is Hopsins favorite rapper.

Alot of interviewers know drama sales and they spend more time poking at the guest and trying to get them to react or say something that's gonna create controversy......they do not care about anything positive and really helping the artist shine, all they care about is views, likes and shares.

This is the best rap interview and it's really inspiring to see how hopsin came this far. Hard work and faith gets you far no matter what your circumstances is. Hopsin grew into a great man. He's so relatable and raw.
