- Hard Knock Tv's Nick Huff Barili sits down with Hopsin at his house for an in depth interview. Part 2 starts with Hopsin talking about signing to 300 Entertainment for distribution deal, why he chose to go that route and why he still thinks a young artists should not sign to major label until they learn the industry. He points to what Token has done to build his brand all from his own house. Hop not only shares advice to upcoming artist but also shares stories of his early days being stuck on Ruthless Records and eventually starting Funk Volume. Hopsin ends part 2 by telling artists that they can't just rap! You have to treat your career like going to school and learn the ins and outs of the industry or you are not going to make it. He also tells stories of how he had to learn about cameras, lights and editing so he could make his own videos, which helped him build his career. We are just getting started! Nick and Hop talked for over 3 hours. Make sure to subscribe to / hardknocktv to be the first to be notified for the next part of Hopsin and Nick's conversation.

Hopsin has really upgraded his whole mentality about music and life. He's not "that negative" rapper anymore and realized what he's really capable - if he just focuses on the music. Inspirational.. Salute to this man, can't wait for his album.
Dont gotta worry cause hopsin will be remember as one of the greatest
Hell yeah

CDTVProductions ay homie love your content
HI
Aye was good CDTV you the best man
HEYYYYY it's you
This interview alone embodies the reasons why i love hopsin. I recently put him in my personal top 5 all-time. He writes his own raps, produces his own beats, directs his own videos, has his own label, generates his own buzz. Gotta love this guy, and if you don't ; at least respect him.

You should watch Hop’s interview from 5 months ago, that one is real too. Look up “Hopsin Goes In Depth About 2017 Album”. It’s a very long interview.
I've already seen it man. That one is pretty real as well
This interview and Russ are the two best
hopsins interviews are most of the time as entertaining as his music videos
I think we take people like Hopsin for granted. Hes giving us so much valuable information out of experience, yet it just passes by. I know Hopsin would only wish he had someone like himself when he was coming up.
He also likes to give people advice on things he's completely ignorant on. That's why alot of people dislike him and that's why there's so many articles and videos about him titled things like "Why hip hop hates Hopsin" etc.
@@Largentina. I dont need articles or videos to form opinions of my own.
I said this before already and I'll say it again, the transitions this man has made, and the things that have changed him, he only focus 's on learning from mistake/success, the smartest man in the rap game, now watch him take over it, he's never too cocky never too shy, his rap game ain't goals, his mentality is!
This is one of them interviews that sparks something in you and sheds a light on your past failures, showing them as just hurdles in life in order for you to sustain success eventually. It’s meant to be hard at first , just like when you first learn how to drive or do anything until you get past that rough patch and eventually it becomes second nature. We tend to look at successful people and see the glitz and glamour but don’t realise these people work so hard behind the scenes and the fruits of their labour is only a small percentage of the grind, stay hungry and always stay moving because you don’t know what future small opportunities or contact that could lead to something bigger or align you with the right people!!! Very inspiring video !! Can’t wait for the album !! Hopsin is underrated AF

Cant fathom the fact that hes 32.... deadass looks like hes in his early 20s
Tyler Clark yup. I keep callin him a kid but hes only 3 yrs younger than me
love hopsins charisma its amazing!
bro you just inspired me to keep pushing and figure this shit out. I'm going to Create my own lane through the internet within a couple years. Mark my words. I have way too much to say. too many people need to hear my message. plus my skill is dope. I just need to reanalyze why I haven't made It yet. Give myself a brand and start marketing myself. I feel what youre saying on not accepting being 50 years old and never had made it happen as a rapper... I refuse to give up until I make this shit happen.
ZIGY THOMPSON chocolate bruh
Always create, bro. Keep trying to better yourself whether that's on the beats or on the marketing side of things. We never have it ALL figured out. Even with as much as Hop has learned, he'll probably be the first to admit that he's still learning!
Jacøb Jøseph don't try and sell it to us, just do it mang ;)
Bed Forblaze
Was just speaking my mind ;) interview had me hyped last night lpl
Lol you sound delusional I bet your music is awful can you please post a link? I'd love to hear it
Hop has the passion again.
You can tell at the end he is really thinking about it in that split second when he repeats ,
*You can't just rap.*
Hopsin should be on one of those TedX presentations.
Dax bro had an amazing story
"I had to learn things I did not want to learn" 20:19.
His presence lights up the room!
This interview is a very important thing. Thanks Hop
Hopsin keeps it so real!!!! My dude is 100 in music and life. I respect this brother to the utmost! Keep it up Hop! Proud of you
Always fucked w/ hop.
Mad gems / Major keys
Thanks dude!
Hopsin is a genius
At 16:40 when he said "a little bit of money" fuck it broke my heart and almost killed me when he said 4,000 is little, I only have like $500bucks lmao
Maniac'sTV I have 77$.
Amazing knowledge.Everyone wants me to sign but never understand when i tell them why i'm not ready
I love seeing this new Hopsin that's more happy, positive, and full of wisdom!
It's so fucking true. You can't just rap, those days are gone. I used to hit up studios when I was 12 to get my demos sounding good but quickly hated having someone else mix my shit and making it sound good in their ears, not mine. I bought karaoke mics, rapped on cassettes and then moved over to recording on a PC when I was 15 in 2005. Since then I've had to be the one mixing, mastering, video editing, directing, designing graphics, promoting, etc.... he's right, YOU CAN'T JUST RAP.
KraftTV lol and you're still a nobody. Give up.
Oh my god, you know what, you're so right. Ok, I'm just gonna delete all of my music and stop forever now. Thanks buddy! :)
Great interview. Keen on part 3. Damn you and your cliff hanging uploads :P

"What's a camera store, I've never been to one before." God damn, bars w/o even trying.
Regardless of all the bad shit that happened at ruthless and what hopsin thinks about the album, gazing at the moonlight is absolutely amazing
Hopsin interviews are so entertaining
i want to see hopsin talk about learning to make beats :D
People like Hopsin and Token are the future of lyrical rap!
This dudes new song Witch Doctor has me wanting to hear more of his music!!!!
I am a new fan, learned of Hopsin from Token!
He's so positive lol I love it one of my favorite rappers
I make most of my beats, mix/master all my music and edit all of my videos on my channel. This video really hit home🙏🏽
Such a down to earth and honest guy. Glad to have learned so much from this one video, and glad it was all from you Hopsin. Stay true and stay yourself. 💯
hopsin seems so much wiser then 5 years ago
What is Wattage? Haha I live a normal life. Good stuff Hop.
this man has the most relatable interviews ever. I swear.
Let me start by saying Thank You! Hopsin has always been a inspiration to me and seeing these interviews really opened my eyes to a new perspective.
I love his passion and hunger!!
a few years later im a beast at it! i walk in like WHATS UP DAN GIMMIE THIS AND THAT
Hop seems to be in a way better place which is dope. Happy for him and pumped for the next project
Damn he is giving people gold! Bars of gold in advice. People have no idea. He is humble and caring and smart and the other side of him is awesome truth spitting monster. I live and die for the chance to see this type if person. Damn near perfect.
The dude is such an inspiration, i love Hop
Hopsin we already know you're fly no need to sit there with a bunch of drones.. we get the hint 😂😂
This shit was so fucking inspirational for me . I've been in songwriting for 6 years now ,rapping for 4 years but now I'm thinking about starting to upload shit etc . I feel ready . I'm 18 but I don't know much shit about editing . I only know how to copy cut and paste shit to form a video . I don't know how to make a beat and I can barely do any mixing . Knowing that someone who is a master in all these things was just like me when he was starting is a huge confidence boost .
go for it. and if its just the Musik without anything. better then not trying.
love hardknocktv's interviews. hopsin is dope, and love his videos he puts out since i watched him a long time ago in high school
4:24 when he starts about token
I love these talks! People can learn tons from Hopsin
I love how real and humble Hopsin is. Self made rappers like Russ talk about doing it themselves in a cocky manner.
18:13 soo tru with every tutorial about computers or programs

He remind me of my son..Kyle Hippy!! He doing the exact sane thing at 17..no one is helping, but he wants it so bad..He speaks the same way!! I love it!
The way he explains camera's and going on youtube to figure out how to use it by listening to 3 years old lmaaoo

Such a good interview
You can see the total change in hopsins mindset over his career. Growing with ya hop

ZIGY THOMPSON I peeped u out and u ain't bad bruh but I suggest not spamming the comments cuz that shit annoys people and that's not gonna get people to fuck with u bro
We want NF in Hard knock tv
I'm currently going through the part where I'm running back and forth doing and learning so many things for the craft and while it gets frustrating sometimes, I enjoy it overall. It's great to have an example of success from it in Hopsin.
That was great!
Hopsin interviews are so dope
If it's a good move for him I support it, people are too hung up on the "independent" thing.
I like this. It's like this in every aspect of life. College don't do this for you, you gotta do it yourself even if you have curriculum you're following.
I love this interview.!
Yessss hop🔥🔥
Bro. Respect.
Trippy how I relate to everything he's saying about teaching himself everything!
I learned a lot from this video! Thank you Hopsin?!
This is such an inspiration
Love this
We need part 3!!
Well said.
Pt. 3 needs to hurry up.... with love. :)
