One of the few things I like about this game is that the bond between the bat family is actually kinda sweet. Everyone has a special connection they had with Bruce and to see how they grew when he passed.
I know this game sucked but I think this is one of the best portrayals of the bat family in any form of media
It’s so corny and forced, and the character models are terrible
Honestly, if there’s only one thing GK definitely did better than the Arkham games, its Bruce’s relationship with his family. There are some good moments in Origins and Knight but overall they’re an afterthought. Here they’re the whole point. They change Batman for the better. They give Bruce life. They’re his legacy.

@@rcbmmines4579 Yeah, i agree, portrayal and characterization of Bruce is much better. I mean there are moment where i like rocksteady bruce, but he is either stoic, angry or depressed 90% of the time. At best he acts like a very stern parent.
Seeing him actually bonding with them and acting more like a person, and actually laughing in the lazarus pit, or smile is good for a change.
@@Kacpa2 yeah the Arkham games spent very little time outside of the main plot having Batman save the day. Really, the real Bruce Wayne, the human behind Batman not the billionaire playboy, is something it didn’t play around with much. The closest we got was in Arkham Origins but that was before Dick or any Robin so it was limited.

Not only respectable to batman, but his crew and DC alike. Ghul was a villain we could respect with his writing: no one can be respected in suicide squad.

Sad part is that Kevin Conroy didn't voice Batman on that game even though he did in the New Suicide Squad game before he died.
I believe the Dick Grayson's "I'm Batman" line and mannerism was taken from Jim Carrey's Riddler at the ending of Batman Forever. Nice and funny touch there.
Watching Dick imitate a bat behind Bruce's back was hilarious!
More or likely, probably a mash up easter egg to Keaton's "I'm Batman", from the 1989 movie and Riddler flapping his arms like batwings, from BATMAN FOREVER.
I like how Dick offered Jason a hug at 2:11 but he refused it. Poor Tim needs it! ❤️
After Kevin Conroy passed away, this ending hits all the harder.

Bruce knows one day his mission to protect Gotham would lead to his death, leaving that message behind. The Bat family joking at that time wouldn't believe it and thought he would live up to old age.

Why wasn't this just a direct post-credit scene? I don't actually mind it that much, this is such a good scene and it made me tear up when I first saw it. For a game that's not really well written, Gotham Knights has some beautiful and wholesome scenes.

Mind you, nowhere near perfection, but these are some of the best depictions of Nightwing, Red Hood, Robin and Batgirl, leaps and bounds beyond anything we've gotten before in both TV and videogames.

I like gotham knights in every way, sure its not another arkham game but it holds up, but is it just me or does the voice acting sound really Unnatural, like their voice tone changes randomly

The Final Battle was great, and the overall story is decent IMO, but the ending really stinks, why would they bring Bruce back just to kill him off again, and The Bat-Family never really stopped neither Talia or The Court, they most likely either rushed this game or have another sequel panned.

Nah I fully cried during this scene, I thought we were done, I had unwittingly completed the game with Babs while I wanted to do it with Tim and then I saw I could interact with that photo, I was fully ready to cry again lol

I'm gonna say it I enjoyes this game is it Arkham level in terms of gameplay? No but I actually enjoyed this Bat fam game which got the characterizations right. Sometimes not even Arkham did that right.
