Those are very useful hacks to teeth whitening with braces, plz do more in dentist care hacks to us. When my daughter had her braces those hacks were not yet known, I am glad that all people with braces can watch that video and apply those hacks, thanks Dr Sarah for your positive energy videos.

1) First of all use only fluoride toothpaste twice everyday. I recommend to not use whitening products especially ones with chemicals because when you remove your braces your teeth is going to have uneven shades.
2) Don't use mouthwash if you haven't already it is not important neither recommended :- czcams.com/video/0e92Z4hbwDU/video.html
3) Brush properly and use softbrush. Brush with 45° angle between gums and teeth and try to use electric toothbrush
4) Lets be honest you can't ignore coffee like me, So next time you had that sip of coffee just go to the sink and splash some water around mouth.
The video is great obviously shes an expert in these cases but i dont think we should sacrifice the future health of our teeth just to make an impression of white smile. You can do small things that help over long terms like drinking tea/coffee quickly and avoiding candies or sugary stuff to extend. Flossing after meals and gurlgling water after every food goes a long way trust me.

From experience I recommend silver bands they are the most discreet and donât really stain.
I didnât pick a color so I also recommend doing that.

I currently use charcoal toothpaste from Superdrug Iâm deffo gonna buy a whitening one and whitening mouth wash because over the past months my teeth have gotten yellow I recently switched to an auto toothbrush which made it better
Try the Crest 3D white toothpaste in the flavor radiant mint it whitens soo well
Dont use whitening toothpaste. Nice job on automatic toothbrush it removes plaque quite awesomely.

Iâm getting braces done for my jaw surgery but I canât stop drinking coffee it gives me energy and if I go one day without it, I get a bad migraine. I should prob just not eat and stay on a liquid diet

my orthodontics told me not to use whitening toothpaste
I picked full black on the upper jaw, but was to shy for black and red mixed (they are my fave colors) On the bright side, I still got the lower jaw braces. Pray for me!! Also, is my choice good or bad?

Before I got braces I used whitening strips so during my braces journey I had white teeth

Hereâs what I like to do. And Iâve never really had good oral hygiene because Iâm autistic and I HATE the taste of toothpaste (I got my shit together now donât worry lol Iâm much better at it) but what I like to do is take 1-2 minutes on each section of teeth. So 1-2 minutes on the top and 1-2 minutes on the bottom. Also DONT use whitening toothpaste or mouthwash becahse that will stain your teeth with white spots after braces.
I've heard using whitening products on your teeth while you have braces is all good until you get them off. Apparently, when you get them off, you can have little squares on your teeth where it's still stained because the whitening product has cleaned the rest of the tooth, but can't clean under the bracket. Is this a risk or not?

Use less toothpaste on your brush! It usually means you have way to much fluoride
I mean you can but itâs super hard. My suggestion is either teeth replacement surgery, veneers, or whitening
my dentist gave me something for mine called MI paste that she said is supposed to help with them

Hi @taco and @crackyardigan. Most whitening toothpastes work by being slightly abrasive and removing surface staining caused by tea, coffee etc. What you should be avoiding is any toothpaste or mouthwash with chemicals that could whiten your natural tooth colour (such as peroxides), it is products containing these chemicals that could create a 'two-tone' effect once your braces are removed.
How do I drink tea with braces? I'm getting mine on the 18th of March. There's no way I can go 2 years without drinking tea :(
Try drinking it with a straw every time!! I got my ceramic braces five days back and I've been using straw for drinking coffee. Trust me it gets stained faster than u expect đ«
