I love this pattern. I've made about fifteen of them by now, always in four ply/ fingering weight yarn. It's so relaxing to make ❤

This was the first time I made it, and I really liked the pattern. But I must I don't like the name 🫤

Hi Olga. It’s beautiful. That yarn looks fabulous to work with. Question (for anyone out there): Why is it called a “virus” stitch? I have stayed away from this just because it’s called “virus”. 😂 I don’t mean to sound negative, but it’s an honest comment. This stitch looks like it would be nice in a lap blanket.

Hi Shannon, I often wondered the same thing. And perhaps that was the subconscious reason I hadn't made this shawl till now myself. It is a lovely pattern, and it can create different looks depending on the yarn used. But honestly, I don't like the name, I don't like it at all!
On a different note, I received your package! Oh my goodness, I'm speechless! Thank you so much! 🙏🏻😊

@@OlgaPoltava thank you. I saw the 370, but I thought that was just the # yards in the ball, not for the whole project. Thank you for clarifying😀

Why is it called virus shawl? 😐

Because it grows like a virus! Really!! Each row it gets bigger and bigger.

I wondered the same thing! I have no idea why.

@@OlgaPoltava I'll call it the Grape Shawl! Aftet all the madness we've been through, "virus" became a word I avoid. 😂

This tweedy yarn makes it impossible to see the stitches. I hope you won't use any more of this kind of yarn. Everything else you've posted and published is perfect!❤

I totally agree! Unfortunately yarn is very expensive and I have to use whatever I have.
