    This is certainly one of the easiest tutorials to follow that I have sampled in all my time crocheting. The tutor speaks clearly, demonstrates clearly and is clearly enjoying teaching us, her giggles are fun and keep us from getting stressed when learning something tricky. She has the art of the tutorial absolutely nailed.

    Thank You very much for using the heavier yarn as it is easier to watch what we are suppose to do. And I live in a climate where it gets very cold here in the USA and I always was curious if this would work in a heavier yarn and look good and it does. So besides a beautiful pattern it will be warm!! :) Thanks so much again!!

    Using the chunky yarn helps me see what you are doing. Your camera is exactly where it should be to see you work your stitches, so I don’t have to keep backing up the video to figure out what you are doing. I appreciate that you pay attention to these details when recording your videos. Thank you for sharing your crochet knowledge with us, I have been learning to crochet and the visual presentation has really helped.

    So … I jumped in and it scrambled my brain for awhile but you are right it finally clicks and you can really work swiftly. Yes count your stitches takes a little longer but avoid a lot of redoing in the long run. Yep learned that the hard way! I am loving this one.

      Thank you Mary! With this design of shawl there is no way of making it wider without making it longer too, it's the way of the pattern, sorry. Anja x 😊

    Crotchet, I've tried a few viruses videos, but you the best for me. At the end, you say continue with the 4 rows, is that the rounds 5/6/7 and 8? I'm not ready to go solo yet 😊

    • @OpheliaTalks
      @OpheliaTalks  Před rokem +1

      Hello Alison, yes, well done, you've got it, repeat rows 5-8 as many times as you want for the length of your shawl.
      Enjoy and good luck.
      Thank you, Anja x

    I think Joanna Martinez might have made the first virus shawl. Hers was crocheted 6 years ago. No one else is dated that long ago.

    It's lovely. Why is it called Virus Shawl?
    Oh that chunky yarn is so pretty. How did you learn to get your crochet so even clean and neat? The quality of fabric always looks so smooth, even and as if it has been purchased in a store. Is that due to yarn quality or tension? I'm trying to learn to have beautiful fabrics once I've completed them and you have a wonderful eye for color blending and combining what compliments what.

      Virus shawl, and it's a repeat of the four rows I showed you, so all you need to do is repeat the 4 rows! Hope this makes sense....

    • @OpheliaTalks
      @OpheliaTalks  Před 4 lety +1
