- What are turbo wheels?! Well, they're some of the craziest skateboard/roller skate wheels you can find and they have an aluminum rim system in them! Let's see if we can destroy them, after we review them of course!

Those wheels were some of the best roller derby wheels at one point. I swear if someone wasn't rolling on Atom Poisons (84a), it was those wheels. They're also really popular dance skating wheels, because 92A is actually considered really hard for a roller skate wheel. They're also technically an indoor wheel because of that. I'm glad you guys had fun with them!

I just bought these wheels ($180 for a set of 8) for my first pair of rollerskates. I’m an old skateboarder from the 80s, so I had to go with Powell Rollerbones. I got 97a for indoor rinks along with classic bones bearings, and I’ve always used bearing spacers. The combo is so fast! I roll forever. So funny to find that you put them on a board. Great video - Thanks. The height of these on a skateboard reminded me of G-Bones, which I use to rock on my Lance Mountain.
I also got Rollerbones “day of the dead” wheels 86a for outdoors, and they are perfect for the Strand in Hermosa/Manhattan Beach. Today I might roll around Venice with them. Those aluminum and plastic cores are pretty common for roller skating. Glad I own a bearing press because some bearings are hard to get in while others just knock out freely when they aren’t on the axel. Kinda odd because I’m use to solid urethane. You have to check out FIBER rollerskates wheels and do a video with those on a skateboard!!! They are popular for roller skating right now, and they look and sound like little rocks. Way harder than 100a. Please check them out. “Fibers” …All the rage. Would be amazing to see on a skateboard.

Nah, Bones Swiss Ceramics are the Best bearings I ever rode! I am serious too..

zealous ceramic is also up there but they’d have to bomb them downhill to break in the bearings with the ceramic grease

My ex tried my road skating wheels on his board and decided to bomb a hill first try.
He was white as a gosht when he got to the bottom of the hill and i warned him that the bigget the wheel, the slower the take off but once your going they hammer going over cracks and stones without problems but the wider the wheel and the flat sides need skill to steer at high speeds as alot of the agilty is more on you not the wheel, the wheel dose speed and stability.
He scoofed walk up the hill , bombed it and could not wait to get them off after one bomb saying im nuts as he has seen me bomb that hill a thousand times fakie on skates..
Yeah you can swap out skate bard wheels and skate wheels, i do it all the time and have bones bomber 57mm 101a's on my skates atm for doing ramps as my ones like the guys are skating in this wheel catch on the ramp when i 180 but they are agile as for flat ground trick and stablity in speed for skates , not skatebords..
Remember they are diffent beasts made for a purpose, skates have diffen truck set ups and axil angles for ever diffent type of quad skating and well its like having 4 ver short trucks starped to our feet so agilty is done very diffent to skate boarding..
Have fun , these are agressive speed wheels so just go in to that knowing their job and the alloy mag wheel set up in them is to lighten the wheel as that much urethane would be really heavy and they hate jumps off things like mannie pads and rails
Try them by all means, its opend my world of wheels by using both types.

Glo is a champ for being able to skate in the outfits he does. I could never skate with a coat on or even a hood up. Even here in Pennsylvania when it's cold out.

Schmitt Stix made ramp wheels with aluminum rims back in the late 80’s. Great for riding ramps but too hard of vibrations for street riding.

This is weird but I play roller hockey (like ice hockey but on roller skates) and I've just started skateboarding. The strange thing is I haven't got the hang of tictacking yet but I can do it on one foot on roller skates 😂

I came from the days of shaped boards with 65-70mm wheels, still busting out kickflips,.
But why the huge risers? The wheels are only 62mm, could've used like 1/4" and been pretty normal riding.
