What do you think about DANIEL FAALELE tackle Minnesota To Chicago at the top of the second round
@@matthewpraayjr.9797 him and Tevin Jenkins would be a nasty tackle duo
hope he gets to shannahan
I had to wrestle Ikem in high school and as a man who squats 500 pounds and bench 315, it was over in 30 seconds and I had never felt so helpless in my entire life
story checks out
should have got a trophy for lasting 30 seconds
@@kenjigreene7976 my wife tells me the same thing
Basically man, football players and wrestling are hand in hand. 😂😂😂😂😂 if you’re a linemen or Linebacker coach is going to tell you to wrestle in high school. They barely want the WRs or DBs or RBs to run track. 😂😂😂
@@juanogando1901 I had that experience too. Coach was like don’t do any other sports, unless you’re a lineman then do wrestling
I was wondering if you’d be interested in doing a kind of “Crash Course: Football Schemes” series. Offensive and defensive formations and their associated rules, logic and philosophy behind them, etc. Nothing I’ve found so far covers this stuff in the kind of depth I’m interested in, and I think you’d be great at making it accessible and interesting.
id love that too! and i think brett would make those videos so well
Those WMDs gotta be somewhere
One thing I love about Brett's videos is how he's able to describe the actual forces and ways in which athletes leverage their body in great detail. Awesome to see.
Welcome to Carolina. Nothing finer than knowing your team is drafting for the future and not to save someone’s job. And what a pick.
Great content on my Panther's first round pick, I am pumped we got this dude, we're building a bully in Carolina and Ickey is the cherry on top. We gonna suprise a few people this year
the real question is when does Brett make a second channel exclusively for cocktail content.
I love how Brett uploads a video at 10 am and then tells us to go get a drink and sit down to watch lmao
I was jus about to comment how he should post later in the day because he's inviting us to drink liquor 😂😂
@@rockyjones1323 Time is just a construct of the simulation. Might as well if the mood strikes ya
@@stikkgreen5237 time is a measurement of an objects relation to nothing (black hole)
He's throwing kids around like Larry Allen did in his prime. Love to see it.
He literally boxed out a defender like he was in the NBA in that second clip lol
That was hilarious, you know nobody is getting that rebound besides him 😂
I lost my mind seeing that. Like, the fact a dude his size got over on a guy with a distance advantage so fast that he could straight up give him the Charles Barkley treatment. This dude is likely 300+ pounds and he's got jets like THAT? Seriously, that shit is fucking wild
then pushed a dude out of bounds 30 yards down field lol, wild
@@siniister710 I swear, never understood why offensive line doesn't get the publicity it deserves. You'd think there'd be nothing america loves more than watching some big 350 pound mountain ragdoll grown men like they're Woody from toy story
Love the “icky thumper” thumbnail. I love the white stripes and made me sing “icky thump” in my head
by far the best offensive line film breakdown I've ever seen, excellent understanding of the scheme and technique
Ekwonu is the Quenton Nelson of this draft, not that he’s on Nelson’s level of technique, but in the fact that he makes watching O Line film fun.
All riiiiiight, Kollman! Here we go.....& ‘bout time my brotha, if I can say so. Been way looking forward to your pre-draft uptick in output-looks like more frequent player-eval uploads are finally startin up in earnest w/ some consistency, to my great stoke-ed-ness & appreciation.
The run up to the draft is favorite time of the year for being on the internet (w/ most media consumption by far), & your work is definitely a big part of that. You’ve the highest quality content of any original football analytics channel.
Keep em comin, broseph. Appreciate your hard work and knowledgeable, intelligent, innovative dissections of the game & it’s participants. Can definitely disagree w/ overall prospect evaluation at times, but I always appreciate your take-backed by massive supporting info-and I always learn something. Brilliant stuff for sports content 🙏🏻✊🤓
The irony of shouting out NC then the Panthers pick Ickey
Hopefully a future Giant. Great video as always, Brett! 💙🤝
New Brett Kollmann video time to start making a cocktail at 11:30 AM
Fantastic review on the fine attributes of techniques and player roles/objectives.
Man, that Kollmann family archive footage!! Must be that Southern Cali sun doing wonders for my dude's complexion.... and outrunning forest fires doing wonders for his abs 😉😆
That made me laugh, literally out loud, bro. Good stuff. And great break down, as always. Until the next one 🥃cheers 🤙🏼
Nice Video Analysis as usual, but damn That running back is REALLY good
8 is Rickey Person Jr (sophomore I think) and 7 is Zonovan Knight (projected day 3 pick after a bad combine)
Can we get Travon Walker next? He's polarizing and might go #2 overall.
Good work as always!
I really appreciate the way you break down and explain the game within the game; the game of the interior. Most football fans don't understand what happens in the trenches nor do they pay attention to who linemen are. As a former running back, I, for one, loved my guys on the line. Need more education on the game within the game to help the general public understand the interior at a level they understand receiver route trees for example.
Dang, I felt bad for some of those linebackers. Those guys from Southern Florida looked like they had a long day
The way he just makes people fly when he shoves them is awesome.
Hey Brett,
Could you possibly do a video on Zion Johnson? He’s proclaimed the swiss army knife on the O-Line but many people can’t decide whether that’s a good thing or a bad thing. Someone who can play multiple positions but can’t excel when set at one position on the line.
Welcome to Carolina Ickey!! He's gonna be fun to watch! Especially if CMC can stay healthy!
Hi Brett, love your content.
I just wanted to remind you Elgton Jenkins was a Center at college leverl
Damn Brett, you strike again. Great video as usual
Hey Brett, love these videos, where would you say Ickey and Neal rank as prospects if you combined the top guys from the last 2 classes with them?
the range of positions you can cover at such a high level is so impressive 🙏🏼
I think “Ickey” paired with Taylor Moton will be an asset for years to come! Good job Panthers.
Oooohhh I love that title Brett
the finish of ekwonu after the box out block to the right side is just ridiculous. he blocked 17 outside the stadium 😂
Great video Brett
My HS coach would always move guys around on the line depending on the defensive front we were going to see that week. Probably doesn’t work at higher levels due to scheme fits and a smaller margin of error, but some guys just play better when they are covered vs uncovered.
Big facts about NC drinking. Every family reunion we prep about 3-4 months in advance.
love the hip toss from #3 at 1:34 😂
My wet dream as a Browns fan is we somehow trade up and take Ikey and put him at left guard, move Bitonio to left tackle, move Wills back to Right Tackle which he played at bama, and let Bill Callahan captain the nastiest offensive line in history.
The real question for me is does Brett believe he is a better prospect than Neal for a team drafting say #1?
The Jags are taking Hutch.
The Jags are gonna be dumb and pass on a tackle at #1
@@brendonbuffaloe8830 the Jags franchised Cam Robinson and seems like they're likely taking Hutch. Not my preference, but not my job on the line
@@TravisDHolmes_JaguarsDaily i dont think they should, they should take ikey or neal at 1 they have allen, maybe they could take a shot at KT cuz they have allen so it wouldnt be the worst thing in the world if he busts
@@alistairwright3464 Jags can’t afford busts at this point of the rebuild, they need to hit on the number one pick. Especially considering Trevor Lawrence wasn’t the instant Top 15 Quarterback every one thought he would be. I really think he’s better than his numbers show.
Luv the channel!
ELITE title there Brett
The smooth jazz during the b roll though
Great breakdown. Would love if he was there for NYG at #5.
KEEP POUNDING!!!!!!!!
Brett, from watching tape did anyone else on NC State make an impression on you? Would love to hear your take on my Wolfpack
This obviously isn’t the focus of the video but that back is good sheesh
Cool reference to a great song!
Love how he's pretty much leveling 2 players on each of these highlights
I'd really like a video of you breaking down the top 3 Edge rusher options and who you think will be the better pro. I know a ton of people love Aiden but even as a lions fan who loves Michigan I just don't see anything He can do that Thibs and Travon won't be able to do in the NFL.
Yo Brett you on a new diet? This Brett looks spicy!
Oh and the video was good too, i guess.
He will instantly be a running back’s best friend. Imagine him in NY with Saquon.
I’m hoping the NYG offload Saquon before the draft for another pick or two. He’ll never be the RB we needed him to be in NY, so give Saquon a shot elsewhere to benefit both parties.
@@tommaj5657 I agree, but it’s fun to think about.
Last time you did a vid on a Tackle prospect, before the draft, Teven Jenkins fell to the the Bears in the second round. Here's hoping for two in a row.
Brett. The Giants are installing a new offensive scheme. All new coaches. Expect to see Outside zone. Still think Ickey is best a Guard for them or do you think RT where there will be less vertical sets and he can use that reach ability?
So you can box someone out in football!!! I didn't know this and might have to add this to my bag
No I just clicked on the video cause issa Brett Kollman video
Glad it showed some of my favorite Jermaine Johnson II snaps. He doesn't have the same hype as the others, but everything about his is just solid. Day 1 starter
I'd love a video on Linderbaum! Not just as a player but how teams will show much they value drafting a center
damn it sounded like a jon bois video by the end
Nc State OL Coach need a raise watching these guys step!
Brett.... Please break down the best outside zone blocking teams of all time... Mike Shanahan and all
12:32 had me rolling. F***ing hilarious.
Kinda reminds me of Trent Williams with his athleticism and just straight aggression🦍. High ceiling hopefully he goes to a team that utilizes his gifts correctly
The goatt🐐
Watching the tape at the beginning of the video he looks like a mini tent Williams in outside zone blocking
fantastic thumbnail
As a Redskins/WFT/Commanders fan, hard not to see the parallels between him and Trent Williams. Massive frame, long arms, freakish combination of strength and movement ability.
would love to hear your thoughts on A&M safety Leon O’Neal Jr. not the most nfl ready but has a clear motor!
Ekwonu is an athletic, versatile lineman who just throws defensive lineman around on game days and he’s so raw he’s got a couple holes in his game but I think teams can explode that to get em to his best
I understood that reference, Brett.
If Jags still decided to go O-Line I’d want him over Neal
Depends on what you value more. To me, Ekwonu MAY work out as a tackle but will likely be an All-pro guard. Neal could be an All-Pro guard, but he’ll most likely be a pro-bowl or all-pro tackle so I don’t see that happening
I come here for the drinks. The football stuff is cool, too.
Great content as always! Though I'm sorry to say your opening was flawed.
I didn't click on the vid for Ikem Ekwonu... I just love watching your videos Brett. You always break down a really complicated sport into understandable chunks while still being entertaining.
As someone who has never played nor been taught any American Football (I'm from Scotland...its not even a minor sport here.) I never recognise 95% or so of the players you do breakdowns on. Still watch because I know I'll learn something and have fun.
So thanks again for slowly getting me hooked on a sport I never thought I'd watch!
you dont have to simp so hard
Thank you so much for the kind words!
fire flannel my man
When are the mock drafts coming?
Welcome home to carolina ikem !!!!
Brett drinks something cool & sophisticated*
Me: ANOTHER DR. PEBBER YEA BUDDY
lmaooo
I miss your draft prospects breakdowns
Jermaine Johnson is insane, you should make a video on him!
He is a beast
this man could be on gang green or the big blue
he'll fit in so well on both rosters.
If detroit can't get Hutchinson, please get this guy
Would give us the best line in the league
Oh no, say goodbye to Ikey's back. The curse continues.
personally a subscriber but clicked on this video due to the reference on the cover art to that ancient total philosophy, self-discipline of mind, body and spirit- Ecky Thump.
Do I smell an OLine/DLine analysis video coming??
Nice White Stripes reference in the thumbnail
Got Hennessy and wine I got you bro
I have never seen that box out technique in my life. At any level. If that happened to me in a game, I'm asking my DLine coach what that was and how is it not a penalty.
This is the OLine equivalent of when the first QB did a forward pass. This is incredible and somehow even more annoying than the Green Bay Hug Technique.
Stoked my Panthers got him!
Never forget when ad wore that shirt that said that’s all folks
He really models his game off of Richie Incognito
Ikem Ekwonu reminds me of the old madden superstar games where you can pancake on most blocks
Gots to do Evan Neal now
Would love him as a guard on the Giants
Giants please! Anywhere on the line is a-ok.
Future Giant god willing
Ickey is tops on my wish list at 5. If we get him AND Thibodaux...
Him to the lions i think would just be golden. Give them an opportunity to try a shot on a wideout in the second and a qb next year.
Brett, you gotta do a video on Jalen Pitre out of Baylor!
I think the panthers staff watch your videos
