I realy like this guy, I know there are lot of runs....but those of you who are real singers would see that he hears the note in his head and then he sings them. I think that is true talent....for the jazz lovers.

I really wish people would take clips on youtube for what they are...this kid is sick, and he's just showcasing some chops he's acquired, he acknowledged he was just running for the hell of it...he's not really singing a song for performance, so who cares if he "runs off a cliff" or whatever foolishness other people posted...runs have a harmonic quality to them, and real singers hear the chord changes and progression, and don't post obnoxious comment...keep it up bro, good job...

Most singers (mostly gospel) are starting to sound the same. They HAVE to do runs not only because their tone is otherwise boring, but also because their vibrato is so heavy that if they not "running" to cover it, it sounds lika a car that won't start.
It's people like this is so heavenly minded that they are oearthly good that turn people away from the body. No one cares what you say until they know you care about them. Stop trying topreach withno credentials.

And while he may sound like Kim burrell he still has originality. All of us got our runs from some one at some point. Every singer sounds like somebody. Stop trying to act like you've never immitated any one. Jarell has great vocal control. Stop haten on people and start encouraging.
