- This wild squirrel visits Kat every single day for snacks and cuddles. Bonnie the Squirrel was rescued by Kat as a baby. She lost her home and really needed help. Kat let her back into the wild when Bonnie was ready, but she she just keeps coming back! They truly have a special bond!

That's sort of how my "handle" found me. I was watching the squirrels playing in our neighbors' persimmon trees & over a few years I noticed that they seemed very fond of fruits that were getting overripe and fermented. They'd act *extra squirrelly* after some time in those trees.
I finally realized they were getting tipsy! Cutest thing I've ever seen, all of them acting so goofy. I guess there's no age limit, because I see the tiny ones out there too. Whole families join in the fun & I just love them all.
Long story shorter - the rest is history. 🐿️🤣🐿️

They love avocado no skin! Blueberries, hazelnuts, walnuts pecans. I love mine she with me in the house with 5 cats. They play chase with her. It so funny.

Squirrels get a bad rap☹️They really are cute and they are so sweet❤ We had a baby squirrel who became friends with us and she came by each day sit on the ledge and just eat her snacks🥰❤️🤗👍
why bad rap? They make you sleep at night, because noisy birds think twice before annoying the squirrels. This happened every time I moved: no squirrels=noisy birds.

It's so awful that another baby squirrel in Bonnie's nest was killed by a larger squirrel but I am so glad Bonnie was rescued! You can see how happy she is by her eyes in the final shot of her being pet by her human mom. Very sweet story! I would like a wildlife expert/squirrel expert to chime in and explain why she is building so many different nests (is it a luxury thing)?

I had no idea other squirrels harmed babies. I know my cat & squirrel used to play. Squirrels can fly but when mad they make a panting like sound. Guess that means game is over?💜🐾💜

I was in Central Park in NYC some time back. Lots of people sitting on park benches, some trying to attract nearby squirrels, but not me. One bold little guy ran up and climbed right up onto my bench to sit right next to me. Okay, that kind of fearlessness deserved something, so I broke out some granola for him.

My husband used to buy nuts and treats for the neighborhood squirrels. After some health issues and the loss of his income, we decided to trim the squirrels out of our budget. Little buggers chewed the lines and wires to our propane grill and rearranged the insides. My husband reworked the budget to allow for the squirrels treats again.
It's amazing how these little squirrels can become a part of our lives and bring joy, even if they sometimes cause a bit of mischief! 🐿️❤️ Your husband's dedication to making room in the budget for their treats shows the love he has for these furry friends. Are you sure that the big squirrel was eating the baby squirrel or was it the Mum collecting her babies by holding them in her mouth, as they do?
