Look at that ejection pattern, the subtle consistency of it. My god, it even has a water mark.
Let's see Paul Allen's M4A1
@@michaelw2263 ah, a man of culture I see.
@@cassidybronson6891 your compliment was sufficient Louis
That reminds me…I need to return some video tapes…
😂😂😂
Every American Minuteman's inalienable right
Stoner really nailed it with the M16.
Absolutely agree with the title of this video. The best ever.
I concur sir. 👍🏻🇺🇸
Something about the M4A1 with kac, just looks so amazing after all these years
Block II, URGI, BCMs, KAC FF RAS Long etc etc are nice, but I still prefer the balance of the classic M4 (gov profile), even with a suppressor.
Looks better than all of those high priced boutique over priced models that quite honestly look dull as hell without an optic.
100% agreed. There was the Pre-M4 World and then there is the Post-M4 World that every country had to adjust to.
I have a le6920 and it will be the last I would ever give up.
Okay pal don't get your dick in a bunch its just a rifle. Your colt is worth nothing.
Yhup. In my career I was issued the M16 (604), GAU-5, M16A2 & M4. I loved them all.
Nice. I was issued the P90 and desert eagle
Finally someone who holds the foregrip like it's supposed to be held!!!!
You also don't burn the sh*t out of your hand by doing this.
@@jackbauer4186gloves
Not since 2008 at least…
@jackbauer4186 Nor would he if he had held it like an AFG (there is a KAC panel forward of the broom handle...)
Nah, it’s still wrong. Yes, technically you’re supposed to hold a broomstick this way, but it’s an outdated and poor technique.
M4a1 socom > hk416
I was with one of the first FORSCOM units to get the new M4A1 before deployment to Afghanistan in early 2013. We turned in all our M4s and about 4-6wks later they all showed up at different times for every Company all fresh from Colt. They were a bit heavier but a far better carbine from what we all noticed at the range. They shot really well (yes we also received the then new M855A1 ammunition in theatre) and yes we did a bunch of controlled full auto burst firing to get use to it and learn how it is actually very controllable if you know what you’re doing and useful out to about ~50m. I put together a clone of it with mostly correct components (actual Colt M4A1 Socom Block 1 upper and yes we had the Socom profile barrels in ours with H2 buffers along with the rubber O ring in the extractor, etc) with my exact TA31 RCO M150 it definitely takes me back to a different time in life. I absolutely love it and yea I couldn’t help but cheat as I am a trigger snob and threw in a Geissele SSA-E since I obviously can’t have a fun switch sadly 🤦🏻♂️ so I might as well maximize its accuracy potential. Anyway, always love your videos. Big fan of the channel.
CURRAHEE! ♠️ 🦅
Full video to follow?
I don't even think it's the best version of the ar 15. It's a downgrade from the m16. It has also been surpassed by other manufacturers this isn't 1996.
In US military history yes. Certainly been surpassed in industry.
In my life, I've owned 22 ARs. I enjoyed every aspect of them except cleaning them. Eugene Stoner was the god of nooks, crannies and inaccessible places.
You can see the cyclic rate pick up pretty quick on that magazine. Got the chance to run my LE6920 upper with the same setup on an M4 lower once. Good stuff.
Quick and easy - Made your point!
Everyone thinks his own house is the best looking on the street. The fact is that the M4 is undoubtedly a fine piece of equipment, result of a quite steady, remarkable and proven evolution.
Are you feeling okay? You just praised Colt😂
When they get it right, i praise them!
@@SmallArmsSolutionsbingo! Some call this “positive reinforcement”.
Awesome!!
Thank you. 👍
Only got to use the fun switch only one time on the AR15/M16 on an FTX. Any other time I went Rock n Roll was on crew served. Hell, I never got to use the burst option on the A2s.
Yes sir, first class, thanks
I miss my issued m4 carbine.
Couldn't agree more
I would agree with you, if you add a free-floated handguard and get rid of the grenade launcher cut.
Wowowow you lost me at grenade launcher cut buddy… shits an aesthetic 👀
Free floated handguard just reduces durability. The increased accuracy isn’t necessary to hit a man sized target at the rifle’s effective range.
And get rid of the carbine length gas system. Congrats, you now have a URGI
@@jpg36c No practical purpose unless you have a grenade launcher. And even if you did, militaries are moving away from weapon-mounted to stand-alone models.
For cloning, I can totally get that.
@@star9732 How does thick aluminum hurt durability more than the thick aluminum already on the handguard?
I’d prefer the original spec rifle with the 20” barrel, 1/14 twist and 40 grain bullets
Yes. Making it a ‘do everything’ platform has hindered it in some regards.
40 grains was original ?
Try 55 grain and 1/12 twist
@@oso1165 Think he meant 1/12 twist and 55 grain
@@caritas8984 The original Colt 601 had a 1/14" twist, legend has it that the 'advisors' in Vietnam reported the gun to be creating absolutely devesting wounds on the enemy. Limbs blown off, huge exit wounds, etc. The Army had the twist rate changed to 1/12" due to issues with accuracy in artic temperatures. I'm not sure anyone has done any modern testing on barrel's with a twist rate slower than 1/12" so it's still a gun legend until proven.
Particularly the SOPMOD block II’s.
If not M4's weakness showed in early 2002-2004, many modern rifles may not exist.
I wish mine fired like that.
Agreed. Colt tdp m4a1s trump all.
TDP Colt M4A1 SOPMOD Block Series is probably my all time favorite Carbine .
I have more rounds fired through Colt M4A1 and Colt MK18 than all other ARs combined.
Best rifle is Sig M7; $3K rifle with $10K scope and $20 per round cost...according to the Profiteers dealing in some damn shady back door government shenanigans. LOL!
No doubt the AR-15/M-16/M-4 platform is the best! 60 years young and still going strong. People will still be shouldering ARs for centuries to come until there's some portable fusion/dark matter/zero point energy breakthrough for particle beam/plasma/laser guns.
Put a 20 inch M16A4 upper amd a H2 weighted buffer and you'll get a Pseudo C7A2 lol
Still blows dirty gas into the bolt assembly.
Works just fine. Will fire more rounds without malfunction than you can carry
Stop repeating shit you read from other idiots.
I've got to admit, I don't like the M4A1. I was handed a new one with packing grease at basic, loathed it after a few days. I was given a crusty FN M16A2 at my unit, which I immediately fell in love with, then I got an M4A1 before deployment, still disliked it and wished I had my musket the whole time. Nothing about the length makes it comfortable, especially all the shit jabbing out in all directions like the sling loop on the bottom that I considered removing. The handguard is too short, especially when marching. The KAC foregrip either gets caught on gear or you have a naked rail section right on the real estate where I want to put my hand. I recall sitting in a humvee that the sight tower was in a precise location to jab the inside of my thighs. The Matech iron sights are trash. I deliberately set it for 300 before I went to the qual range, then found after a qual round that it had somehow gotten bumped to 500. The KAC rail covers are outrageously thick and the texture is butt, with huge gaps between each cover. The huge tightening knob on the M68 for some reason faces the lefthand side, meaning it rubs against my sternum or my ribcage when I'm walking around in civvies, or gets caught on my mag pouches. And the M68 makes it about as heavy as an M16A2. I think the only thing I like about it is the side mounted Colt sling loop. I removed the stupid KAC rail covers and I was much happier after that. I still have them. That said, it shoots nice with the CCO and it was fun on full auto.
Roger that 👍🇺🇸
Man the new ones we got in at the shop are laughable in quality I was so sad to see them now.
Don't want to be annoying but its not a battle rifle, right?
It belongs to a class of weapon originally called the machine carbine (maschinenkarabiner)
It is the de facto battle rifle at the present.
@@TheSundayShooter I would call it the modern evolution of the the StG 44
@@caritas8984 The Stg-44 is an evolution of the Mkb-42(H) and would have been called the Mkb-44 were it not for the ministry of propaganda designating it Stg
