Did Bodycam Catch Scream on Night Idaho Students Were Slain?

- There's a massive debate over whether or not a scream was captured on police bodycam the night the four University of Idaho students were murdered. The timestamp on the bodycam video reads 3:12 a.m. which is around the same time of the killings. On Court TV, former prosecutors listened to the video but only anchor Vinnie Politan could hear a scream. A neighbor who lives close to the murder scene told a citizen sleuth he also heard a scream that night.
If you can hear them blocks away, but the 2 sleeping roomates couldn't hear them just a few meters away from them, then i dont really believe this
because the roommates were lying 🙃
@@samu-chan unless, they were drunk, then there is the possibility that they didn’t hear anything.
@@samu-chan I don't think so. Why would they lie the roommates were all friends.
To me it sounds like a tire screech a common noise heard nothing anyone would think anything of much less wake up to
If they were sleeping, how would they have heard anything? I also heard they were drunk before they slept the night as well.
I heard the scream on the audio but the lack of reaction on camera makes me think it wasn't a scream or tires. That should have made the cops react given their job. Were they close by when the muder was happening or is this just speculation? The neighbour said they heard a scream though. My doubt is on the roommates too they must have been comatose from drinking not to hear or knew it was gonna happen. That or we have to admit the neighbour was lying... Curious case. Hopefully they get answers for the families
Even though they enhanced the audio, I still don't think it was a scream. It makes sense the officer's didn't notice, its too hard to even hear
Its hard to hear because there's this new thing they invented called walls and walls especially during the winter and this is true makes sounds harder to hear
@@filmtheory783 what you typed gave me a brain aneurysm. Grammar who? None of that makes any sense bro 😅
Walls? You mean the same walls that were so poorly built that blood seeped through, if it was a brick house I would agree with you, but it was cheap siding, so it is possible to hear.

When I was in college there would be screaming on and off throughout the night especially before break because people were partying. That's a pretty haunting clue. I definitely heard a woman screaming in terror. The fact that it was heard at the exact time the murders happened and that another guy heard a scream that night could be connected. I guarantee the audio expert could be wrong BUT.....if it is a tire screeching, then it could possibly be the killer's vehicle making a getaway! It's either/or at this point!
Very good point. It definitely sounded closer to a scream than it did a tire screech. I’m from Chicago and every weekend near midway airport all the drag racers come out. And we hear the loud car engines and mufflers and all the tire screeching. In my opinion this did not sound like a tire screech.
The noise is clear but I’m sure it’s different when we hear it from the bodycam vs those college dudes and the cop who were there interacting with eachother and not listening for thag
I believe it was a scream too, sounds way too human to come from a tire
I believe it was a scream as well but to say that it was a woman screaming in terror is ridiculous. The roommates didn’t hear that and they were right in the house with them. Also I don’t know about you but I was a college student once too and I know that there were all kinds of thighs going on all night almost every night. Including people yelling and screaming. That recording does not say what you think it does
I heard it too clear as a bell but before the scream if you listen real close you will hear like a pig farmer whispering you cheating whore plain as the day is long..
It's still hard to believe the roommates heard nothing. I think maybe they did and didn't want to get killed too or they knew who did it or was involved in some way a cover up .

I heard it too. It is so terrifying. Just so sad. The pain and suffering they had to endure is just so sad.
If a human imagines they hear something, that human will hear it. But you have to use common sense and ask yourself why do you hear it, but the people sleeping in the next room did not? Ok but if it was a scream that was loud enough to hear from a distance, that means that the roommates who were not harmed would have heard it too.

But I swear I had heard a scream, looked through the comments and no one had mentioned it, so naturally questioned myself but looking back now I think it was a scream..
I’m right there with you. My mommy, instinctual core heard it immediately, didn’t take me two times to even listen. Although of course I did. Idk just my gut , hoping it wasn’t my brain tricking me😟
This reminds me that last September my brother heard a woman screaming for help outside at night which was caught on our bird cam. I listened to it and it was horrible - the woman was screaming her throat raw, saying "help me" and "someone help me". I've never heard something sound so real, like they were actually in danger. We called the non-emergency number to let police know about it and they sent a patrol car out. We even drove around the neighborhood with our windows down, but the screaming had stopped. It happened a few other times before that, but didn't last long and we didn't have our camera up yet. That was the last time it happened as far as I know. I really hope that for whatever reason it wasn't an actual emergency. Maybe it was someone practicing their impressive acting skills..? :(

Chilling.
You called the non-emergency number??? I think this scenario requires a 911 call. Someone could have been kidnapped. Did you hear any news after the incident such as woman found murdered or missing?
I have also heard this once in my neighborhood. It woke me up early in the morning and my partner too. We both heard it and I called it in to 911. I hope they located the source because there was something extremely serious going on and then silence too. Very scary.
That definitely sounds like an emergency, better safe than sorry. All this time later you say, “I hope it wasn’t an emergency “ and never hearing it again after that. Wow we have some real geniuses these days 🤦♀️ it’s not a parrot lol. If it was a parrot you would hear it frequently. Unless he was imitating his owner which has actually solved a crime before. Im more concerned about how the people in the footage didnt show any reaction to hearing a scream at 3am 🤔
They could have been the perps
Nah...it is definitely not a scream. Its lasts for a millisecond and in a scenario like that, I would not expect a scream like that. Its most likely a car or something in the distance.
Also, there were people walking on the streets around that time...as captured in the bodycam, so they could've been shouting & having fun. Sounds like a distant whistle
Look into the roommates!!!!
Inside edition is treating this case as some murder mystery movie.
Can we all agree it was the roommates?
Because how tf do you not hear people being murdered?
Glad you aren’t investigating
No we can’t all agree
It’s crazy that there might have been a scream but the surviving roommates heard nothing.
It's coming out that the resident of that house, victims included were known to partake in methamphetamine & fentanyl not to mention alcohol. One can understand if they were knocked out cold so to speak & would explain why 4 people were murdered all within close proximity to one another
But other articles say the murders happened around 4am, one of the victims also got door dash at 4am… this is why we need to leave the investigating to the police and not the media :(
The cops would’ve been able to hear a scream if it was a scream.
I actually caught that days ago when I watched the full body cam video. Pretty sure I heard more than one scream.
Funny how the police have all the informations but couch detectives can confidently pinpoint the killer that they saw from a food truck video
The only thing I took from this is theybare reaching hard for news about this case, and the parents were notified that way because news channels didn't respect the families enough to wait until they were notified to report on it.
If they screamed that loudly.... the other room mates surely would have heard it.
It's been one month and still haven't caugh that killer

They just released the affidavit, the murders happened between 4 and 4:25am. So this was not a scream of a murder victim.
We need for it to be a scream from one of the victims. It probably isn't even a scream but it's human nature to need to have concrete answers so we do whatever we need to do to make things make sense.
This is confusing. If this was the sound of a scream, then how come the other roommates did not hear the scream?

Tremendous strength by the parents of the victims who’ve spoke about this appalling crime.

Exactly, the sound sounds like a squeak when a car's tires turn a corner quickly
I remember being so surprised by that noise because I wasn't speeding, not even going fast, I just turned the corner like normal and it made a screeching sound as I turned the corner like the sound on this video that was probably in 1990.
The Police might want to ask a mechanic what causes a car or tire to make that noise.

If that was a scream and it was heard this far away, the roommates would’ve heard.
My gawd this just emphasized the point of how tf could the roommates remain asleep while their roommates were being slaughtered.
The BIGGEST question I have is, if the killer entered the house that night, how on earth would he have known exactly, when the house members had all fallen asleep before he committed this evil crime - is it not possible that he was actually known to them, came home with one or more of the victims, waited till they had fallen asleep and then carried out the attacks and escaped? This is the only way he could have known that the victims were/most likely asleep, before the knife attacks happened.
Or he was already hiding inside the house before they came home. There was two empty rooms in the house. 🤷
Lights
He’s either in their hiding and waiting or outside watching and waiting for lights to go out
They may not have been asleep, they were just found in the beds, so he could have been waiting in the girls room upstairs and jumped out while they were in the bed 🤷🏼♀️ Ethan and X were probably killed on the way out after hearing something
No, the biggest question is: why didn't the other roommates not wake up? Did they not hear 4 different screams?
4 people killed by one man . . . we'll find out more.
I couldn’t hear it the first several times, but I came back later and tried again, pausing it and turning up the volume first, and then I could make out what sounds like a shrill scream of terror from a young woman. If I were a neighbor with any security cams, I would definitely have reviewed the previous night’s footage/audio as soon as I heard of the news that four people were brutally stabbed to death - not just out of curiosity but my own sense of safety.
There is something in the audio, but it is impossible to tell what it is or where it came from.

I hear a faint pterodactyl. But seriously, if that was a scream from the house and it was 3:12am, that was only about 20 minutes after the last call to Jack the ex. Do we think that the girls on the third floor were actually asleep only 20 minutes after their persistent calls to Jack? The assumption is they were calling Jack in their drunkenness and normal behavior. Could it be out of fear, hearing something in the house? The killer was already inside, or they heard second floor commotion.
But wouldn't they call 911?

I heard a quick high pitch noise, but it was too short to definitively say it's someone screaming..
Even if the roommates didn’t hear anything, the dog would’ve more than likely heard the scream if the neighbor did and the dog would’ve woken up the two roommates downstairs. If a dog heard something like that he would’ve def acted strangely enough for the roommates to be alerted and wake up. A party scream would sound different than a distress scream and a dog I think would know the difference.
I live on a college campus and I hear screams like this one every night. I’m not say that it’s unrelated but it’s very possible that it was just a random drunk girl screaming
