Maybe spiritual bypassing is just the antics of a young soul trying to find its way. Maybe no matter what they do some form of bypassing will ensue Maybe it's just where they are at and the rewards of meditation and spiritual practice are limited but I'm quite sure that the attempt to meditate or engage in spiritual practice is better than not doing so bypassing or no bypassing.
Some people need proper care on a psychological level. From professionals. In order to have emotional growth and a healthy mind. Spiritual life can't replace that. It can make it worst actually, or at least it prevents them from doing the real work
His overbearing tone with her speaks volumes. I ENCOURAGE PEOPLE OF COLOR LIKE THIS SISTER IN EGYPT TO *STOP* CONSULTING WHITE FOLKS ON THESE TYPES OF DISCUSSIONS [they're pre-disposed to dominate/colonize conversations]. She truly held grace to articulate/clarify AGAIN what he thought he was "teaching" her. 🙄Same thing has happened to me as the only Black woman in wellness spaces.
