Franklin's is damn good, had it on my way back to DFW from a cousins reunion that I also squeezed in a camping trip down in the Medina and Concan area. Definitely worthy of being in the top 10 best bbq joints in Texas.

Kansas City native, and don’t tell anyone I said this but Texas small batch BBQ is the best in the country. Franklins, Pecan Lodge, Cattleack… KC does have the sides on lockdown, Mac, Cheesy Corn, BBQ Baked Beans… but the meat doesn’t compare.

We visited Texas a few years back and the barbecue is just unbelievable didn't get to Franklin's but Augie's in San Antonio was really good.
Franklins is overrated anyway. Been there a couple times and the line is not worth it since theres a good amount of places just as good
