Smash Remix - Classic Mode Remix 1P Gameplay with Goemon (VERY HARD)

- This update came up way sooner than expecting, this time bringing Goemon to Smash Remix!
One feature (or adjustment) was that Remix 1p mode difficulty got changed. Some opponents are lighter but their AI got improved even more so I cannot cheese like I usually do...and Team character in Stage it's hard now.

The rom can be played in Nintendo 64 (through everdrive + Expansion Pack), Project 64 and Retroarch. It can also be played in Not64 (Wii homebrew app), but it suffers from several sound glitches in my case.

I am finally really happy that someone out there were able to put Goemon into a fighting game. I know Dream Mix Fighters exists but they didn't add Goemon in there. My man Goemon gets his time to shine in this gameplay! Also that Dark Samus fight looks so painful-
Goemon is in M.U.G.E.N, but it's more of an engine. Goemon just feels right at home in Smash Bros, no doubt about it.

I never really got into the mystical ninja series like that but I knew of it, and I even emulated the Snes game on a homebrew emulator on my old wii and played it once, but I know alot of people who enjoyed this generic konami title have been asking for this character for so long, but the closest they got to it was a mii costume which is cool but still rather disappointing. So glad the smash remix team have been working hard to make smash 64 an already enjoyable game even more enjoyable.
@@megmanxtreme64 I'm glad I found someone who also played the games on their Wii. It honestly just felt better that way since I also play Smash Remix on my Wii via Not64.
@malachipoole3386 😄 YO! I thought I was the only one who played smash remix on Not64. It runs ok, but sometimes it will lag or crash depending on some features that are turned on though, some stages don't work right on it either like the smash bros. intro desk, the N64 logo, frosty village, and the secluded area where mario and kirby fought during the near end of the intro all don't work right on the emulator, they're pitch black. If I had an everdrive 64 I would be able to play on some of those stages no problem. But I still enjoy the game though. You know it's because of marina light-years being added to remix that I was able to play mischief makers for N64 but on my Not64 emulator.
@@megmanxtreme64 Yeah, it's also like that for me. It's usually the stages on the second page, but First Destination and Showdown also display as black for me. Also, the transitions end game also don't work as intended on Not64. Also, it DSI crashes if too much lag happens.
Not64 is really good, but it still has imperfections.
I usually play with Wii Remote and Nunchuk on normal games, but for Smash Remix I use Wii Remote only with the analog stick and D-Pad mapped to the controller's D-Pad (sideways) and A and B mapped to 1 and 2. Start mapped to the home button, R mapped to B, Z and L mapped to plus and minus.

Those were some annoying fights. Especially against Giant Dark Samus with that extension of the stage.
Yeah they need balance giant variants just like nintendo did with giant dk or at least desactive the friendly fire
@@mariomontenegro1648 They need to toggle it. I know that they want a challenge but you have to have help with those Giants. Friendly Fire makes your teammate pretty useless considering they should do some of the work for you.

Man, that Giant Dark Samus fight was TEDIOUS. It shouldn't take that much health to defeat it. Giant Donkey Kong wasn't even that tough.

Must fucking agree on giant battles of remix, they should not be tanky as hell that they take like 500% to kill somewhat minimally, it needs fairly some balancing as for giga bowser I think it fine it takes up to +400%, overall, some characters die a little higher on %, take in example an enemy like donkey kong and pair with up smashes of mario, try knocking it at 90% or higher, it may take up to +130 or more
I actually learned about the edge hogging and cheesing while I was grounded from playing videogames back in the day from my mother and I would sneak in a few quick matches with the volume turned down so she couldn't hear the TV. I actually got pretty good at spiking and stuff because I wanted to end matches because of the pressure and of being caught.

I swear in any Smash game I ever played, the Samus CPU on Level 9 was always super aggressive and feisty compared to other Level 9 CPUs.

I love the concept of this project, but I wish the difficulty could be toned down a bit. I'm not a hard core smash player, and even on easy difficulty with improved AI turned off I struggled with remix 1P mode. It just seems like the new characters are very heavy and difficult to knock far, and way smarter than the original characters. I think it's great that there are options to make the game more difficult for more skilled players, but some finer difficulty control for casual gamers would be nice.

Man, whoever make this romhack. He oe she did is so much better job with Goemon and other new characters different moves than Startkicker's fake scam Smash Overlord game from 2017.
My exactly point is, i so glad that Goemon had his own animation, Conker had his own animation instead of reskins of smash fighters unlike Smash Overlord scam game.

When you do Original Classic Can you show the costumes?
If you are talking about Goemon his costumes are based off of his allies in Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon. The Blue one that the CPU Goemon was wearing is based off of Ebisimaru, the purple one with green hair is based off of Yae, then the other one is based off of Sasuke. He looks like he has four to choose from in addition to the default.

Replacing the Master Hand with Bowser seems like a bad choice - as the Master Hand is much more difficult to beat due to never falling out of the stage.
