Thank you Sandy for your very informative and enjoyable videos! Having never sewn before, I searched CZcams for advice on making a large Roman blind, and came across your tutorials. It’s thanks to you and your relaxed, calm manner and detailed explanation of the process that I have managed to make my blind and now about to start on the box pelmet to go with it! By the way, I love the background music you use, I found it really soothing in the stressful moments when I had to refer back to your video, please keep playing it! Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us.

Thank you so much for this tutorial. I've made curtains for myself, but didn't know where to start doing a padded & piped pelmet. Now, I'll have a go! 🤩

Have enjoyed watching your videos but it would have been nice to see how you fix the pelmet up on the wall as I'm having a problem trying to visualise your explanation about the velcro placement on both the pelmet and the wall track board (I don't even know what that is!). Even if it was just a small sample piece to show viewers. Beautiful work though, you do such a gorgeous professional job and I do appreciate you taking the time to film the process, so thank you.

Hi. I have followed this tutorial making a long one 325cm. I used Essex board though. One piece 240cm and the other shorter and it is up and there is a slight kink at join. Any advice please?! I'm planning on redoing it in two equal lengths?

Thank you so much for this very helpful video - I am doing an 8 sided bay window pelmet and I have been advised to use millboard? what are your thoughts on that? I only have 1 edge to attach the velcro - at the top - and it will be 20 cms deep - so not that deep. Hoping it will be ok with 1 strip of velcro!!! would love to see a video of how you install the pelmet.

    What wood did you use?

Great question! We used 6mm plywood for this project. It's a sturdy and versatile option that works well for various DIY projects. Feel free to give it a try for your next woodworking endeavor!

What’s the lining you’re stapling onto the wood ?

Hi, thank you for sharing and showing how to make a padded pelmet.
I’m a little unclear on how the pelmet was to be installed. Has a frame been attached to the wall already with the female velcro attached? Which would then be joined with the male velcro you placed onto the pelmet?
Would be great to see “one you’d prepared earlier”!
Again, a very interesting tutorial, i had no idea staples came in different lengths!
    Thank you
    Linda 🥰
