The photographers nightmare: This is how good (or bad) AI images are!

- I am a long time "classic" photographer. This is what I learned from playing with the AI. It's scary, it has huge potential and we photographers might have to adapt to this.
An excellent little introduction. Thanks for posting.
please could you make a tutorial - how you made the baby on the dog ...?
Would love to see a tutorial on this as well. Thanks
Andrea...I loved those pictures but...mostly your old, red kitchen! It's so beautiful 👍😉 btw: I would view your tutorial 🙂
Nice! I've tried Dalle and didn't work too well. Would love if you could share how you did these?
Cool video, fun images.. but I subscribed to your channel for the Sony hardware rumors.. I'll wait and see how much this new turn takes over your channel to see if I stay subscribed. But have fun with your new project.. Great First try at your Ai images!
This was great - thank you, Andrea! Would love a tutorial, especially for the realistic images like the kid on the dog, the wave over the bed and the aged model. Really appreciate you and your channel - thanks again!
ok!
My experiments with stable diffusion were unfruitful compared to your results. Would like to see a tutorial showing your approach.
Hey Andrea! This is a very relevant subject to explore and talk about, thanks for sharing. While I consider myself a keen photographer, I wonder where we can draw the line between AI and man made photography. Beyond the fact, that human eyes can detect a tiny little fraction of reality, hence even our naked eye projected image in our mind is therefore an artificial, fake reality, photos taken by either film or digital systems are even further away from reality and based on human as well as man made artificial intelligence processes. What is the relevance of taking this one step further and eliminate the obvious bottlenecks of film / digital imaging processes (including the photogrphers themselves)? The AI image is based on historical images and perceptions about what image a human photographers would create about the inputs provided. Same as we learn what is a photograph and how a "good" one looks like.
This is not about photography should be based on the human intellect and creativity, but the general dilemma on what extent and how soon the human-invented AI is making mankind completely redundant once for all. I do not have the answer, but almost sure that AI will know that sooner than us and that moment we are all doomed.
So while I encourage everybody not to accelerate the AI solutions, as this just keeps reducing our remaining ability of creation, I am not sure that it is possible to stop this before late.
I also tried it for fun. It really is entertaining. Once prices come down a bit I could see myself creating that way on a regular basis for fun.
What AI website did you use?
Dall-e? Or stable fussion? What ia did u use?
Can you use the tool to modify an existing image that you'd upload to it?
Self-answer: After checking the OpanAI Dell-2 page, pparently not... but that's absolutely coming imo.
ai imaging is a new tool and nothing more. It will find its natural place in the creative worlds whatever it might be . I really enjoy using midjourney , i really enjoy using after effects and blender and unreal engine. I really enjoy using my cameras and also lightroom and photoshop. I like using pencils and paper and paint and canvas also .. all the tools ...
Product photography for the most part got replaced by 3d years ago and no one really noticed , see how much photography exists in the ikea catalogue for example , a lot less than you would naturally think .
This is going to be popular with cheap advertising.
Exactly, for now I can only see it as an application for mass production. Just like ChatGPT. There will be always a need for a human individual genius. We have to become better photographers to beat the shit out of AI :)
Super cool. What is the tool used?
There are a ton out there like Dall-E and so forth
I will like to see how you did the lady photo. Can you share with us? Thanks for sharing the information.
it is funny to see how people do not understand what is behind AI. The algorithms are mathematically essentially based on smart interpolation formulations. Most of the tools are dependent on learning phases, thus if those tools are able to generate those images, it is because content creators have done it before, either by CAD models, or by actual pictures. Those tools require food for production. The haters should be as concerned by the latest 3D rendering tools...
and to your point about IA being not 100% accurate on human being... 3D modelers and renderers will probably be better.
what program is this?
Midjourney
andrea can you create a wildlife photo, for example a photo of a lion or a zebra or an eagle? was it realistic? thanks
I can try
@@andrea_pizzini thanks, ma preferirei dirti semplicemente grazie, viva l'Italia 😅
All the photographers railing against this: it’s happening, whether you like it or not. So either ride this wave or step out of the way (I.e. find your niche and don’t worry about it). Is what it is.
I found this fascinating! I would really appreciate seeing how you worked through the AI, I have tried in the past and the results weren't particularly interesting.👍
WOW!!! Please continue to show us how this is done.
I want to know what the AI thinks a 12-500mm f2.0 lens looks like 😂
This is really interesting and I absolutely enjoy the experimentation. Regarding the "complaints": it may be difficult at times, but just ignore them.
If completely computer generated images are "photography" then "photography" and a "photograph" have become meaningless terms. A photographer captures a photograph through a camera and lens. Photographs at least start as something captured, not something created from scratch in a computer. That doesn't mean it's not art, but these words should have meaning. A photoreal image is not a photo, and photographers should keep this distinction.
How many world wide known of these artists insulted you? None. Have fun with any kind of technology that brings you pleasure.
Yeah I was getting annoyed lol
Now I want a Louis Vuitton/Sony Alpha collab.
Unfollowed your insta because of the fixation on AI. We all love a nice shakeup to expand our creativity but this screams a lack of originality + photography.
There is a difference between capturing an image and typing a prompt.
Is this a rumor ?
Nope.
@@andrea_pizzini exactly
@@tomkro9704 You are on "Andrea Pizzini Photography" or am I mistaken?
We can like it or hate it, but the reality is that what we see now is just the beginning of AI generated photography and art. The sooner we embrace it and start using it as a photographic tool, the sooner we will be able to embrace it. Just hating it won't do us any good... Thank you for a great video.
