If you are playing as Kimi Raikkonen the drink button makes even less sense. 😂
DO I HAVE WATER YES OR NO
You do not have the drink!
@@boostedmedia no kimi no
U guys get drinks?

Lewis Hamilton: “those basterds lied to me”

Would love to see Fanatec do something along these lines, as there needs to be more wheels on the market like this
100%!
Yes, but can’t see Fanatec doing anything at a similar price point.
@@ChrisCroft77 why not? They are absolutely destroying the competition in other areas of the market recently.
@@matta2738 simply does workout with the other wheels they are still selling
@@ChrisCroft77 if they're doing a 'cheaper' dd base and cheap pedals they really should be looking into more 'cheaper' rims too tbh
Wow, Thrustmaster stepping up the game here. What an incredible looking wheel. That display looks awesome and as an overall package it looks so much more realistic and legit than Fanatec's current flagship F1 wheel. It just looks proper authentic. Like it belongs in a real Ferrari F1 car. I'm super impressed.
@@designamk1160 looks pretty good in F1 2021. But yeah, if it's lacking broader compatibility that sucks.
Looks like it belongs in the car because it is in the car lol. It's a 1:1 model of the real Ferrari F1 steering wheel
It looks close to the real F1 wheel, but the build quality and button feel isn't quite close to the Fanatec F1 wheel.
@@Excepti0nHandler The Fanatec F1 wheel isn't even a replika so you can't even compare it. I mean would you imagine if they work together with a real F1 team? Look at the BMW official motorsport wheel, it cost a lot of money but it's just amazing :)
@@ImThe5thKing it's obviously not a 1:1 model lmao.
The most important question : Does it have the Slow Button ?
Just race the Ferrari and there is no need for the slow button...
... and slow button ON, slow button ON
We are checking... we’ll get back to you
@@szandorthe13th Okay, and mode PUSH for last corner, mode PUSH.
Pit limit?
Yes
This is probably the best review of this wheel available. I'm looking forward to getting my hands on one. I'll be happy when they set it up with use for other games as well. Now I wait...
Wow, that B roll of the wheel at the beginning was incredible. Great production value guys.
That ingame FOV is absolutely perfect wow!
Just order one from Pagnian. Thanks for the thorough review man. I cant wait to use it in the near future, ahhhh and as I type this I just hear you have the commission link which I wish I knew 2 minutes ago. Well hit them up - this message is proof I Ordered one after hearing half of your review haha
Thank you for the review. I’m a massive F1 fan and play the codemasters games more than any other racing titles. I’ve just bought myself one of these, upgrading from a G29, and I’m looking forward to an even better experience and deeper immersion!
Bro i never seen such a perfect set/pov of the f1 car set up it’s so sick
Great review and hats off to TM for their efforts!
Was waiting for this review!!
Thank you so much for the review Will :D
I don’t usually comment on videos. But I do have to say that I absolutely loved this video. Super informative and useful. Made me want to buy the wheel even more! Thank you for this, and keep up the amazing work :>
Nice review Will. Looking forward to your CSL DD review in the future!
Another awesome review , thanks, Will. I've got this wheel to go with my Thrustmaster Sparco TS-XW racing wheel and Next Level F-GT sim cockpit. Another like me from me and a well deserved sub, cheers again !!
How come are there 26 dislikes in this video as per today? Come on this is a piece of art and a great manual!!!! Thanks mate for publishing this and for your time. Great great job and great great video. Though you speak fast as a F1 car, but incredibly articulate and clear to understand. If I were speaking all that with my Brazilian accent, I'd take one hour to finish! hahahah Cheers!
Best YT review of any tech kit I have EVER witnessed. He may talk fast at times, but he is concise in his use of words and manner, and so we can all hear what he is saying even at that speed. I am a tech maniac, I own literally everything, but this kit was a rarity, I needed clarity on it............and this guy has literally sold it to me, on behalf of Thrustmaster!!! Keep this going mate, I will keep looking at your reviews every time in future!
Thanks mate. Glad you enjoyed it and it was beneficial :)
This year has been great for people just getting into sim racing. So many more amazing products coming out for such affordable (-ish) prices. I wish I had these choices when I bought my rig. Fanatec and TM stepping it up this year.
This wheel personally, I wish there were less plastic on it. But I understand that with the screen, they needed to cut elsewhere to keep it affordable for their target market. If I had a TM rig, I'd probably pick this up.
Great review bud I own this wheel very happy with. Thank you.
Great video/review will 👍
Have you done part 3 of your budget sim racing equipment as of yet? really looking forward to that one
Nice review, I'll go for this wheel when it is available 🙂
Maybe in 2068
23:06 - that GoPro mount introduces new level of immersion to F1. While drivers suffer halos, Will simulates the obstacle with a GoPro mount. Quite funny :)
Thank you for the good input on a review I'm definitely want that steering wheel for my setup thank you.
I've enjoyed every minute of this review, despite I don't play F1.
I had been playing f1 games regularly on controller since 2020 game came out. I played it so much that I said fudge it I'm gonna splurge & get myself a setup, this is my very first wheel!!!
I can say that I'm in love!!!!
It's so much more fun!!!
Great review, mate!!
Wow thanks for the info! I may have to pick one up.
I'd be immersed in that sim cockpit using a potato as a wheel, nice setup!
Seeing the wheel in your first person view is absolutely awesome. I imagine Ferrari being the low key dictatorship, Thrustmaster was bound to put everything exactly where it's supposed to go on the real wheel. I bet by now the aftermarket already has custom stickers and knobs to make this wheel truly unique
This was an awesome video. SUBSCRIBED!
Welcome!
Great review, thank you.
Great review, thanks! I was leaning toward getting the Sparco P310 wheel but this F1 wheel is so cool I might just get it instead. I know its fully geared at F1 and has some use cases for GT style cars, but because it is so specific I'm not 100% sure which of the two wheels I will get. I love that the SF1000 has a lot of rotary wheels and buttons to utilize.
Awesome review. I'm mainly on iRacing, so interested in getting dual clutch working as it should. I will stay tuned
I was sort of excited when thrustmaster was releasing this wheel but it was cut short by the fact that 4 of the switches were for the screen rather than mappable functions so this sort of pulls me back to using something with an arduino pro micro for it since its got max 32 funcs and unassigned thottles, brakes, etc in the arduino sketch library
Their all mappable what you talking about???
Wow never been so early. Great series for all beginners. I always recommend you for the nice reviews. Always very well organized and explained.
Just started watching, looks spiffy!
Ahh just in time! Now I can watch this video whilst I eat dinner 😁
Breakfast over here. 😆
Yes! Just what i wanted!
Yeah, I'm glad that this wheel rim ended in the hands of each reviewer but it did not see the stores shelves at all, Since day one I have not seen any kind of availability for it. Thank you Thrustmaster!
PS: Nice review. Love your materials mate!
just buy one online?
@@yoshibald8958 where?
This seems awesome for a casual console (I know, I know) F1 driver like me. About to upgrade from a Playseat Challenge to an Rseat Formula and my T3PA pedals to T-LCM, so once I can finally buy this wheel here in the US for my TX base, I should be pretty well set! Thanks for the excellent review.
Just wondering, if youre not making any moey off the games youre playing, why by these unnecessary accessories?

bro your setup is so good
Can't wait until August when its available in the US. I have most products from Thrustmaster and have stuck with them for years. This will look good on my addon wheel wall mount.
I have the original Thrustmaster F1 wheel I've used for years, and I NEEEEEED this new one in my life. OMG This is incredible!
Just finally took the plunge on bying one, getting it next week 😀
I want that screen on a Fanatec wheel.
What I want some wheel manufacturer to do is to add a built-in phone insert in a wheel. Basically, use your phone as the screen and pair it with a display app. Sell a seperate screen cover that matches the size of your phone screen. Boom, you got a 'cheap' wheel, but with a screen.
The wheel would be a bit larger though... But the most common complaint about Fanatec F1 wheels is the small size. So maybe it's doable?
@@theglitch312 only problem is the range of phone sizes. Might work nicely today but a few years down the road when everyone's phone has a 16" screen that might not fit lol
@@Ninja98x Yup. Hell, I’m still here with my dinky iPhone 6S, looking at all the absolute units of phones everybody has...
@@theglitch312 man I remember being blown away when I got an iPhone 4S years ago, the screen was so massive! Now I've got a Galaxy Note 10 and I laugh when I put it next to my old iPhone. That thing looks so puny now!
God that is 20 out of 10 cool! hope Fanatec is watching this and also Codemasters for your feedback
The drink button is for Kimi, obviously. He must have the drink.
How did the wheel handle the radio prompts? Do they still pop up on the game screen or on the wheel screen? Also pit changes?
Gosh I was this was compatible with my DD1. Would buy this in a heart beat.
Just be happy that you have a DD wheel. Better then anything TM can make
I saw something for an adapter to use Thrustmaster wheels on a DD base. Not sure if it works for this.
@@pesvids6673 if the wheel doesn't have an USB interface it won't work.
Thrustmaster is making a dd wheel later on in the year, can't wait to use this on dd.
the wheel is nice and all, but it's the same story here as with other thrustmaster wheels on xbox, where you have more than 1 button doing the same thing, such as the rotary encoders taking the place of the d-pad, and the "neutral" and "pit limiter" buttons both being mapped to A, the drink and +1 buttons both being Y, the k1 and k2 buttons being the same as the paddle shifters, i understand that there's limitations to the amount of commands possible, but when you look at playstation wheels those are using as much as they can, going to such lengths as to include the L3 and R3 buttons on the wheel, too. small differences like that could be a big change for people trying to have extra commands on their wheels for things such as TCS or ABS
Wish I can use this with fanatic dd1 or dd2 wheel bases..this wheel is awesome.
This wheel makes me want to go with thrustmaster but the fanatec dd csl coming out looks like a better choice for my first setup.
Just ordered mine from pagniani, looking forward to getting it 😬 upgrading from a g923 to the tsxw
I just bought the 923 and am already watching these videos wondering how long it will take me to upgrade. Looks like sin racing can really hook you fast 😅
On the blog of Fanatec where they announced the new csl pedals they said they "are not done yet". Maybe the will release something similar for the same price to keep competitive in this range of wheels...
I think if fanatec bought out something like this you would be paying top dollar for it like $1,000 plus because everyone knows they don't do things in small doses its all or nothing so it wouldn't surprize me one bit😳👍🙂
Yeah considering the current Formula V2 is the same price, either they’d have to cut production costs in other areas or it would be a significantly more expensive I’d think.
@@boostedmedia as you stated in the review, I actually wouldn't mind if it were, say $100 more expensive but with a notch better quality
I own 2 fanatec wheels and this, by far, wipes the floor with them. Now it's fanatec that need to up their game
Hi mate do your f1 wheels work with Xbox or do you know if you can get any ? Thanks
How did you get the clutch pedals and the display to work? For the display i connected it to wifi and selected the telemetry option in the game (f1 2021) but it still shows rhe ferrari logo
never would spend money again in a TM-wheel. Bought twice an TM500 wheel, most of the buttons were broken and gone after 3 day in both wheels. Repair took 4 weeks time and service contact were almost unavailable. Since I own my Fanatec rig all problems were gone and I really appreciate the quality and firstclass support.
Lol, you are either unlucky or beating the crap out of your gear
Great video! I finally got to order one of these and found this vídeo super helpful. One dumb question, what does the green numbers (+10.87) in the screen represent at 16:05?
I'm jumping from Thrustmaster to Fanatec this year (because of the CSL DD) but if that wasn't the case I'd love to have this rim.
I wish they would let you bind the display control buttons in-game. I want this wheel for VR and it would be such a shame to miss so many of the button inputs for no reason. Couldn't they make it so when you turn off the display the buttons become bindable as standard inputs?
Can you use UDP to run the display with ACC or project cars?,( or...judging by all the f1 2020 only reviews does it need specific support vis the game software? As it seems to mirror the in game hud ?
Brilliant Video .I Got this Wheel .
Thanks for an honest review Will ...you've been an inspiration to many of us & my personal technical source throughout my 3 screen Sim build ...which is working great finally. Coincidentally ...I now need to upgrade my wheel & peddles ...the G920 took a hell of a beating & is a great "beginner" system but it's time to get something equal to the rest of my system. "Plug & Play" is great for us that are less tech savvy ...I'd never have got my system up without some of your advice. Does this wheel have buttons that are or can be programed for a simple "yes & no" response instead of using the MFD? I crashed more than once in F1 2020 trying answer YES for a change to rain tires on the MFD while controlling the car in the rain. & ...What do you think of their load cell peddles? Last ...how do you think it will work on my all time fav ...ACC & the GT3 cars?
Forgot to ask, in this video are you racing with a triple screen setup? If so, can you please advise on which screens and size you are using? thanks again.
I found this wheel much better than any fanetech wheel i have used especially comfort, styling, useability functions, and of cause the screen, so well done thrustmaster for finally giving us something we have been waiting for for so long now cheers👍🙂
Such an amazing rim
Cheers Will, subbed.
great camera placement
I came from the Ferrari Add On wheel from 2011 to this one and this is a step up and i really love it! Only on Ps5 i have sometimes the screen/led light freeze. I hope this can be fixed with a software update.
Do the screen or rev lights work at all with GT Sport?
@@sin0suke not at this moment, but Thrustmaster is adding more and more games in the very near future. For example iracing and F1 at this moment
hey will thanks for another great review. just wondering if you know if this wheel is compatible with CSL DD?
Will that FOV was amazing for F1 2020, do the side screens look stretched out?
Cool planning to buy it
One of the best led screens I've seen tbh lol
i really want that wheel, i dont even have a thrusty base
lol just use some duct tape to tape it on your current base
@@chestercheeto2228 uh I don’t think that’s a good idea
@@roxss6538 lol ive done that with a 30 dollar wheel that i ripped off the "base" and the wheel worked
The problem I have with most reviews is that, they are usually way too positive... I'm watching 10 minutes of the video and I haven't heard a bad thing about the wheel, which is ok, but I think it kinda makes the video a more an add than an honest review. In our life we need downs to enjoy the ups. The best thing about rain is that after rain there will be sun! which is awesome. I hope you understand my methapore.
That hatswitch on the left side is pretty rubbish to be honest. From what I can see and having used this wheel now for some weeks it is the same switch that is on the old F1 add-on wheel. It is a bit of a shame.
Most of the other buttons are very hard to press which is also not so positive. I am coming from the TM open wheel add-on where the buttons are just sensitive enough I would say. The thought here is to mimic the original F1 wheel I guess.
On Xbox we are limited to a lot of functions. It is not possible to map the lower shifters and it took me a while to find how to use them as a clutch.
The screen is freaking awesome but also here on Xbox a lot of the layouts will not work. It needs to connect via wifi and I have no latency issues here at all actually so it depends on your router and signal. I am super happy still that they managed to get the screen to work for us with Xbox though.
The shifters sound a LOT! Still waiting for the T-chrono so cannot compare yet.
The rotaries work great to change fuel mix. The old rotaries on the old F1 was crappy but these here is great.
For this price I cannot think of much more negative to say. Very happy that I managed to get a hold of one!
Good to see this work on console. A lot of Gt/Forza players would benefit from it.
Is the functionality of the screen the same as series x over UDP like as in the same data screens available?
I have this wheel and the updated paddle shifters for the Xbox series x. The factory default for the wheel when hooked up to game console is 60 hertz for frequency and there Is a speed delay so scale that back to 10 hertz delay goes away.
Love this wheel for sure this wheel aloen shows thrustmaster is finally trying to get to that level hopefully there new base willl be also and I'm not talking about the tgt2 somehow evrryoen skipped over there w as 2 that were announced yet the one got skipped over on the post for some reason lol
After a few months using it, i've encountered a few issues with the wheel. Sometimes the telemetry on the wheel stops receiving information and restarting the computer does not fix. I have to loosen the screw and remove the wheel and attach again to the wheel base and the telemetry comes back. My second issue is that the paddles sometimes skips gears, so I'm thinking of getting the T-chrono paddles in the hope that would fix the issue. By the way, do you know how to map the pit button? I'm still not able to map the pit button to F1 22 PC.
Great video. What is the screen setup you used during this video?
F124, so I have the Formula Wheel Add-On Ferrari SF1000 Edition with PS5 and TGT-II Base, during a race when my DRS is available and I click on the button on the wheel, nothing happens and I don’t go over 160ish or so. I reassigned the button several times and the DRS still doesn’t work. Another question, under settings, (controls, vibration and & force feedback) which wheel do you select that is listed? Because the SF1000 doesn’t show up as an option but it still works if I choose any other wheel. One last thing to mention, under settings when I am assigning the DRS to a button it does respond but not in races. I have found out I am not he only one with this problem.
I have a ps4 and a t300rs. Can i just drop this sf100 in onto my t300rs base with no problems or will i have to connect it to a pc once i put the f1 wheel on and configure it??
So u use the wheel to accelerate or do you have to buy gas and brake padels?
The clutch paddles on the back side are in game brake and throttle, can I change it? They got the same function
16:08 How are you able to see that information? Everytime I turn that switch nothing happens when it is set to that MFD display type.
I have all TM gear but I want to go one up to VRS Direct Drive....so bare with me....can I adapt it to a VRS drive?
I still don't quite understand the 'native' mode. If say I play ACC and it's not supported, I have to go the wifi route?
Can you get suggested gear to come up on it in F1 2020?
Thanks
I wish Fanatec will be able to come out with something close to SF1000 in price and design and software integration with that awesome awesome LCD!
Fanatec would make a wheel with almost the same design and functionality, and charge 699.99 USD for it...
Do you know if I can use some logitech servo base to play with this wheel?
The question is " Is TM SF1000 be available for F1 2021 on July 16? I am not so sure, shops have no idea when be available.
does the display setting still run like that on box?
Great wheel. The only think I don't like is the "quick release" mechanism of Thrustmaster. It's not that quick, and I am afraid the screw/screwhole will wear out.
I have already pre-ordered this wheel... Now to purchase a wheelbase and pedals
Looks like an awesome wheel so far, hope you enjoy it 👌🏼
@the last hydra I would go with the ts pc if your on pc
do you only get the wheel? or do you get the thing you put it on aswell
Should also try the Esportsim Formula Steering wheel. Wonderful quality. And really EXCEPTIONAL after market support!
Think of getting that myself but only if works for GT7 also
Is it possible to buy an adapter to use this wheel on a OSW wheelbase? or only Thustmasters?
The original knobs used on F1 cars seem to be aviation-grade knobs which are about U$50 a piece while Thrustmaster making them would mean a fairly complicated part to machine for a product that isn't a massive enough market to compensate for tooling costs. If those knobs were made of metal while retaining accuracy (which like you said, might be a licensing requirement) that could easily add $20+ to the price.
Depending if it can be easily removed or not, I think it would improve usability quite a bit by replacing it with synthesizer knobs.
When I hear aviation grade I hear as light as possible that's just about good enough
