Much appreciated Robert, thanks! I've not tried Onshape but was quite pleasantly surprised. Having used Autocad for decades and Solidworks for a few years now, I think Onshape would be a great starting point before moving on to Solidworks as it's a very similar but simpler and more intuitive interface.
I'll have to give it a try as it might be a way to create basic designs to later transfer to Solidworks, or to knock up some parts and designs without having to lug around a heavy and expensive laptop workstation.
