My Grandfather carried a 1911 for his entire 30 year law enforcement career. He survived multiple gun fights without a scratch. Even in 2023 its a viable option imo. I definitely don't feel outgunned when I carry one.

I really like rolling my own in 460 rowland...Longshot powder and a 230 hollow point...devastating! You have make sure you have forged parts, your pushing that 230gr pill almost 1400 fps....gallon jugs explode like they have TNT in them.

@@FitnFire I had some hang fires starting out, but I cleaned up the striker channel and swapped the spring and it runs great now! I cant get those "adjustable sights" to not shoot 6" high though. a 6 oclock hold seems to remedy it though, or another rear Novak sight 😅 happy shooting!
Imo, the only best 1911 clone out there would be the RIA.
I hope it's still a viable option because I carry one every day.

Yes but the 69 was the pinnacle of the late60s era camaroes ,69 body style was actually made through half a year of the 70 model year until GM settled the union strike.
They seem to be coming out with some ridiculously awesome finishes, but the 6lb trigger is probably a dealbreaker for me.

How do you classify a clone 1911? Is it by the country of origin? If it is made outside US it is considered a clone already kindly enlighten me please
IMO, I would say anything that was manufactured by other than Colt, really. Country of origin is the simplest way to address your question; however, the real hard core 1911 fans would tell you that only Colt makes the real ones (unless manufactured under contract during WWII) and they can only be chambered in .45ACP or .38 Super.

@@reynodignadice9765 technically speaking, yes they would be clones to a hardcore enthusiast. Do I care? No, not really when we are speaking of American companies. I would say Rock Islands and Turkish made 1911s are more clones than the companies you listed.
Another way to look at it is with the AK. You have combloc variants such as the WASR, WBP AKs, M70s, and even some hard to find VEPRs. Those could be considered the OGs while the PSA, KUSA, and Century Arms made AKs (like the BFT47 & VSKAs) would be deemed "American Copies" or clones.
Ultimately, I don't really get tied up in semantics. Call it what you wish.

ITS A BUGET GUN, why do people get a cheap firearm and then expect it to be perfect. If they make it better then they would have to charge more wouldn’t they and it wouldn’t be budget. It is a good starter pistol for someone wanting an inexpensive pistol.
