Criminal law is based philosophically on two fundamental pillars: a guilty act and a guilty mind. Much attention is paid to the former in popular culture, but the latter is an important factor too. Of course, that defense is a lot hard to prove than you may be lead to believe, again by popular culture, AND it can carry with it potentially larger consequences than you may realize. All but the mosy heinous of crimes come with sentencing guidelines that will release an offender after a certain period of time, regardless of whether they've shown evidence of rehabilitation. Someone found mentally incompetent, depending on the cause, may find themselves remanded to other's custody for the rest of their lives. Even someone with a mental illness that is amenable to treatment will have to convince a panel of doctors that they're fit to re-enter society and risk being hospitalized in perpetuity.
In conclusion, his wardrobe choices may not demonstrate him as too 'stupid' to convict, they do seem create a framework for a good defense attorney to argue he's incapable of understanding the difference between right and wrong.

“Art” is worth whatever some chooses to pay for it, this might not be the same as art but it is the same concept. It is also true that art prices fluctuate, while the famous artists work does increase in value, there are many many types or antiques and art that will fall and rise again as they become popular.

I knew from the start that NFTs were a scam. It's hard to wrap my head around the fact that people have spent more than my net worth on bits and bytes that supposedly give them exclusive bragging rights for something you can only see on a computer.
I'm not convinced that "NFTs losing money" isn't part of the scam. Let's say I'm a triple digit millionaire and I'm going to owe big on taxes this year. I also want to bribe someone to do something for me. They create an NFT that I buy for $1M, and now instead of a large sum of cash trading hands for no reason and starting an investigation, I've bought "a good". At tax time, the NFT is worth $100, so now I claim a $999,900 loss on my taxes. So now my bribes are tax deductible.
