Yet, in holding scientific research and discovery in respect, as we should, we must also be alert to the equal and opposite danger that public policy could itself become the captive of a scientific-technological elite.
It is the task of statesmanship to mold, to balance, and to integrate these and other forces, new and old, within the principles of our democratic system-ever aiming toward the supreme goals of our free society."
clearly this shows how a lot of what past presidents have said fell on def ears. Most likely due to public misdirection with some sorta 'big event'. Big / heavily publicized events over-shadow things like this, up into the present day.
Where do crazy people keep getting tin foil??? All my life, I've only seen aluminum.
Joe gets so mad when Jamie makes a mistake chill joe
I’m glad joe played that speech because I was going to look it up right after this segment. Thank Joe! You’re the man!
I'm not a democrat, but I can't disagree with a single thing she said.
Tulsi by far is exactly what the Democrat party needed. She’s honest and knows the crooked shit going on in our government that has to stop
There were 2 threats warned of in Ike's address:
"the aquisition of power by the military industrial complex"
"That public policy could itself become the captive of a scientific technological elite"
IKR? I picked up on that too after watching his entire _Farewell Speech_
And has!
Military Industrial Petroleum Complex. I read an advisor told Eisenhower to leave out petroleum. I wonder why.
Main stream media and DNC: "Tulsi, you're such a great candidate, we have a wonderful parade planned for you, you'll love Dallas this time of year!"
Lol. Exactly. I always think it should be mentioned when that speech is played that JFK was the next president. Just a coincidence the next president was assassinated under suspicious circumstances.
@@badmanskill1112 sadly. It appears shes willing though to try carrying that torch knowing what happens, or at least the specific type of fire she is playing with. Makes a heavy crown seem timid by comparison.

For sure. It's good to see her stand up to this criminal cabal. Ron Paul did and still says the same stuff. I've heard him go as far as say there's been a CIA coup in America. Which I agree with. It's been said that if someone hasn't found something they're willing to die for, they aren't fit to live. And I agree. Most people are cowards or have no clue what is going on in the world around them.
@@badmanskill1112 Could not agree with you more my friend. Very well put. Hopefully a few people see that and take something away from it. Take care, bud!
@@justinbooth9198
Thanks. You too brother! It's nice to see someone who also knows what's going on. I've learned a lot from people posting on threads. I've gone and done the research after but it's pointed me in the right direction, at times. But knowledge isn't for everyone, only for those who seek it. I know, another unreferenced quote. Lol.
I need to do some more digging, but Tulsi is the first Dem candidate running that did not scare the crap out of me for decades. I might actually vote for a Democrat in the next election.
You know the military is good for keeping people employed but at the same time we must question if we're making the right choices.
Wow. This is an incredible clip!
She has my vote.
Gabbard 2024 for something.
I haven't made up my mind about who I'm voting for next year but I am strongly leaning toward Tulsi.
No need to warn look around. The FEAR is everywhere. Look at our budget year by year.
Got a military recruiting commercial at the beginning of the video
Robin Williams said they need NASCAR jackets
Most people are ignorant of the fact Eisenhower also talked about the educational-scientific "complex" feeding its own interests in that speech also. The military profession and military industry are like any other group of lobbyists and need to be watched nothing more.
Love this lady
Watching from SINDH
In the business of conquest, that's the acquisitions department.
This Human being is spot on.
She is such a beautiful smart woman, but insanely attractive😍😍
She really wants that convertible ride in Dallas ...
Someone finally speaks of the mammoth in the room.
This is one of Joes best interviews. I didnt know anything about Gabbard before this and she sounds like the kind of politician that should be in office . Eisenhower's warning was over 50 years ago so id say its to late to do anything about it. Just remember any president or congress member that fights to increase military spending are part of the MIC. Its that simple.
Love this lady. Very well spoken.
There is also an additional yet simpler explanation for the constant wars -- if you don't practice, you get rusty.
Pretty sure it was Robin Williams that made the comment about politicians wearing nascar jackets with their “sponsors” on it
What does she think about the USS liberty
I love Trump's trolling so much but damn she's smart and pretty...
That's what you love so much about Donnie? Sounds a bit empty-headed.
@@holyworrier the entire reason I voted for him is because of how much the establishment of both sides hate him , the Bush family , Hillary Clinton , John McCain , Nancy Pelosi , all lost their fuckin shit when his campaign started doing well , and then double lost it when he won. It's hilarious.
@FrankDuks only taxes I pay are sales tax. I only take cash jobs. Fuck the IRS

Why are tulsi and joe Rogan clips getting so many dislikes?
tyler edwards she’s a terrible candidate
collin why
@@tyleredwards2100 There is no reason why, alot of people just read what they're told on the news, they don't have enough cells in their head to think for themselves.
What happened to the rest of this podcast? I had a bunch lined up an me now they're all private
I just found this clip and find this interesting. Sometimes it feels like everything before 2020 was a whole other world, but videos like this remind me that nothing happens in a vacuum and there were many actions that led up to our current position.
Greatest speech ever was from Charlie Chaplin..
Twas a great speech
JFK warning about Secret Societies is up there too but I agree. So dangerous they murdered him because of it. He and his brother Bobby were true Patriots and a huge loss for humanity.
Stallone at the end of Rocky IV. 2nd is Stallone at the end of first blood part I.
Good one also war is a racket
She is an amazing lady!
You can't swing a dead cat at Boeing without hitting a former procurement officer.
Nothing can be done mate. People will be people no matter what
Eisenhower changed that speech at the last second He was supposed to be Congressional MIC not just the MIC
Oh guess she brought that up, should of waited before I commented.
Joe acting like he didn't know that
Should *have* waited :-) great speech, though!
@@outbackandabout Nice grammar nazi.
But up here in the Mid-West we say of before should depending on the next word. Both together doesn't make sense when they can both be in the past . Now if I said "I have waited for you for 20 minutes" that makes sense. Should, have, waited, before are all in the past. If I would of put (I)then have would be right but I put (should of) Probably the right way would of been"I should of waited "
I'm no English major but I'm sure it's a double something. That and the (I ) was after(of) and before (I)
Maybe (Should've) is the correct way.
Either way you knew what I meant.
Go spend time trying to correct people in the comment section of a rap video.
I'm a REPUBLICAN......Tulsi.....Might have my vote next time...Very smart Lady!
The revolving door issue was addressed years ago and nothing has changed
5:10 ROFL I was trying to show a friend the same speech and picked the same damn wrong clip with the guy talking over it.
5:30 tge beginning of one of the most truthful speeches ever.
And done by the Main guy that planned out the win for WW2
Those idiotic dems might've pulled it off if they would have got behind this remarkable woman.
I'm a lifelong conservative and I admit that I'm aligned with most of her opinions.
Not all, but most.
I think I need foil hat too🤣🦉
Remember growing up that I had a poster of Ike on my wall. Now I know why.
That's exactly the type of person I'd want in the country's lead role. I have to research her further...good listen.
Allegedly - Tulsi Gabbard voted 1st or 2nd hottest in congress, depending who u ask
if anybody has seen Oliver Stones JFK have heard of Eisenhower's speech.
Im waiting for her to talk about burn pits.
I thought she was only on the show Veep. Good for her making a real bid for president. From Seinfeld to the White House is an American story.
God I hope she is truly sincere, and won't end up being bought and sold. She seems like a real god damn human being, who could actually be a voice for the people. If she's for real, then she needs 24 7 protection, and we the people need to defend this woman like our lives depend on it. The more support she gets from us, the more she can feel empowered, knowing a hundred million people will follow her into battle, if that's what it takes. All it takes is an idea, and true belief in that idea. They can not stop a hundred million people if we finally say enough. This world is imperfect, as are we, but overall we can do much better on this planet and make it a better place to live. The good people can not stay silent because that's how the evil assholes continue their ways.
Anybody who isn't willing to be bought and sold will never be allowed to become president.
3:06 it’s Robin Williams, not Denis Miller
Absolute power, corrupts absolutely. With power comes corruption and that corruption must be weeded out.
Get Rajiv Malhotra on the channel man!.. would be a great conversation!
She had a advertisment before the video started. Now that's how you get money!
Surprised this doesn't have 2 mil views. People want to remain willfully ignorant, and not imagine anything that deviated from their childhood programming.
Joe "I need extra foil" Rogan
It’s like she’s reading off of the security policy reform institute website so thats good. Best of luck to her
I believe the US President should have military experience where it be by JROTC, ROTC, military brat and/or US Armed Forces of any branch. This should be mandatory because it shows that you are will to sacrifice yourself before your people before going into war. This would definitely end the military industrial complex agenda completely.
Military brat? No, in America you're supposed to rise up based on your achievements, not who your mommy and daddy are.
Um nah, fuck the military, they are dogs of war and the reason we have wars. They follow orders and cant even think for themselves.
Trump was in ROTC and he is in bed with the m.i.c. and hes still a temperamental child and should never be able to control a military.
When I hit the like button it went from 3.8k to 3.9k.
Eisenhower said the MIC could have a spiritual influence on our country, I always found that chilling.
What does that mean? Like changing Americans fundamental views?
