Don’t hunt! Go to LV and get your bag’s vaccetta replaced! You can keep YOUR family bag, it’ll look brand new, and it costs less than buying a new one/ less than a vintage one (which 1987 would be really hard to find).

I didn't expect that I will love the Speedy a lot and I can say I'm a Speedy Girl🥰! I got 2 B30, a 25B MNG and a 25 DE Classic( though I wanted it in Bandolier,that was the only one available in the Champ de Elysees flagship store in Paris). The classic has its own charm but the strap is a game changer.
I recently discovered you this week, on my you tube lessons on good travel luggage. You are so real and your great knowledge of LV bags. I am now taking my Speedy (great detail info, Audrey Hepburn, love that fun fact) out as well my other beautiful LV bags. My Lululemon backpack for work (I’m a Nurse). But on my day off, LV Diva coming back out. Keep doing your thing Miss Michelle.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge on the Speedy. Like many, it’s the gateway of luxury. Everyone seemed to start with Speedy including me. Lol. But it’s really not just because of its history, but also the it’s beauty and durability. That’s one bag I will never ever let go. My favorite for many years. I have the DE Bando 30 but down the line will get the 25 in mono, maybe in beautiful graffiti or other collectible piece.

I have a pre- loved Speedy that I purchased for $275. It was in great condition! Then my dog snacked on the leather pull-tab that was on the zipper and the tag with the logo. I ended up sending it to Have all the leather replaced. Even at the $540 its less than a new bag! I may get the leather on my Alma replaced too!
I also got a speedy 25 in vintage, 32yrs old with the best ever condition. No floss at all. Only the leather is now in patina. Also not dark. I guess the owner of this taking good care of this bag and i got below 1,000 euro. And i love it.

Roman Holiday came out in 1953! I don't know if the bag made an appearance in any of Ms. Hepburn's movies but maybe one of her sixties films? I see a lot of pictures of her carrying it in the sixties.
yours is in fantastic condition! it's such an elegant bag. so sweet that it was your mom's and her little hand prints are in the handles forever. =) your daughter is going to be the luckiest girl if she inherits your bag collection. I can't decide if I'd want a speedy in classic monogram or damier azur. I'm in love with DA print but would want to be "like Audrey." same with the size. bigger is better for me but hers was the mini. I didn't know you could store them flat, that is so cool.

I was fed up with my mom buying fake LVs (because of her friends) so I bought her, her first LV piece which is the speedy 30 in Damien ebene. She’s very happy with it but recently I found out that she doesn’t use it, her reasoning is that it is very precious to her and she’s afraid to use such an expensive bag. She could afford such expensive bags but she doesn’t want to waste her money but I know she really loves the bag.

I know the Neverfull can hold up to 200 pounds (not that I would test that theory!), but what about the speedy? I use it as a work bag, and while I don’t fill it with rocks, it has a full size wallet, a stuffed toiletry 26 (makeup and other crap in it), two a5 diaries, sunglasses and a small little medicine pouch. Maybe some other random stuff like keys and wipes etc. And while that doesn’t sound like a lot, gosh, she gets HEAVY….

I just bought my first speedy: a 35B in monogram. I’m SO IN LOVE!! Question, though: how long will it take for the creases from it being folded flat to disappear? Like you, I will not be storing it that way. I have a bag organizer in it and I’m trying to be patient, but…?! How long?! 😅
I have a speedy 25 made by the french luggage company licensed under louis vuitton. It does has the leather trim running underneath the bag and the logo is right side up on both sides. Mine also has the talon zipper tucky lock and coated leather. Definitely not a fake. 😊
I really wish I could get into the speedy but it’s just one of those bags that people love that does nothing for me. I will say though, the 20 is the only size I find exciting
I thought I was the only one who hated the strap on the speedy I prefer to carry it the classic way plus the speedy looks weird being carried like a crossbody or shoulder bag
@@dialmstyle yes I agree, it's more elegant and classy but when you live in a very big city (I'm french but I live in Italy in Rome), you can't wear your bags handheld, you have to wear them crossbody to avoid having your bag snatched. I used to wear my bags handheld but when they tried to snatch my bag (horrible experience) I added straps on all my bags...

Hi Michelle. I have a friend who is selling his Ellipse MM. I know that it is real since he ALWAYS buys from LV boutiques especially when he travels to the US or Japan. I am tempted but quite frankly, I find the shape to be a bit odd. It looks like a big sea shell and looks rather dates. But since it came out at time when Marc Jacobs was the creative head (please correct me if I am wrong though), I am interested a bit. :-) Can you help enlighten me? :-) Thank you.
I always see that shape for sale on re-sellers sites, don’t rush. If you aren’t totally excited, keep thinking about it or see if something else catches your fancy!

Just don't use too much. There are videos that say too much can ruin the leather. But definitely polish it up every now and then!

Oh that is interesting. Try to air it out. There is a smell to the canvas, but it shouldn’t be awful!
