As of March 1st 2021, all Louis Vuitton bags or small leather goods manufactured no longer include the LVMH tried and true, physical date codes. In lieu of their hot stamped or debased date codes, microchips have been introduced by the brand primarily to stop counterfeits and help with repairs.

I still love my LV reverse monogram *yutulux* clutch! It's versatile, fits a variety of items, and is definitely a workhorse! I think seeing it everywhere (like the LV speedy) is proof that it's already a classic.

Hi, trying to authenticate a speedy 30 from 2018. Do the pockets inside need to have a zipper post 2015? This one in particular I'm looking at doesn't have a zipper.

This was very informative thank you Jen! Also my friend got her pre 2015 Lv neverfull bag inside pouch vachetta part replaced and they put a zipper for her as a replacement, this would make things a bit confusing when trying to authenticate 😳
Thank you so much for the feedback! If Louis Vuitton did the repairs and replaced vachetta, they will place a special letter in front of the original date code. Check out @carlo&Seb channel because they described this when he gave his mom the Louis Vuitton bucket bag after it was sent to Louis Vuitton to have the vachetta replaced. So she should not have trouble having it authenticated :)

I’m not sure about Belk and what they do with the Louis Vuitton boxes. It depends on where you purchase the Louis Vuitton bag from whether or not it will come with a box. Does that help?

I have a question about a bag I received. I have a speedy band. size 25. The left side leather band does have “Louis Vuitton Paris”. That’s all. No made in France.

I think the reasons we used to buy luxury goods are no longer valid. I love the feel of a well-made, buttery soft leather bag. Now that these mansions are cutting corners and jacking up prices, young people don't see the value and the luxury side, so all that's left is for them to see. This is sad and I hope they eventually go back to their basics and reduce the mass production of bags. And now some replicas are doing really well. Recommend *rrcopys*

Seriously, who cares if its a fake. I bought the real *niceshopx* last year and frankly after inspecting it I wasnt THAT impressed with what I paid. And the prices go up every year. Is Chanel increasing quality on the bags? Whats the justification for the increase? Because its helps with the hype. Its a marketing scheme. The more scarce they can make it the more people want it. Theres nothing wrong with this fake. I mean just because the chains dont jingle right LOL.
