I made my first luxury purchase ever last summer at LV. I wanted to dip my toe into it and start with SLGS. I did my research but all that left my brain and I just asked the SA to show me what SLGs he had. I pretty much bought everything he showed me except for the Papillon bag charm. I had to draw the line when I found out how much it was. He got a decent sale (almost 3k for about 15 minutes of his time) and I had a tiny bit of buyer’s remorse because I’ve never spent that much on something that isn’t a car. After I got over it I was happy with what I got.

I just made my first official LV purchase in store the day before my birthday in August and hit all your key points. So I'm quite proud I didn't go in with a nasty, bougie attitude. I knew what I was looking for although we cruised the store first. Everyone was welcoming and had awesome attitudes and demeanor. Even if they were acting they appeared genuinely nice. I have since been in contact with my CA and even for a small purchase will go through him especially after you explained the commission and stress levels that can occur. I truly enjoyed your video and glad I didn't miss the mark!! Thanks for the info.

LV waved a repair fee for me once because the SA said I was so nice and polite. She became my SA because I liked her so much.
I’ve had almost all great experiences with SA’s. The only bad one was at LV in Vienna. I had a Dior bag and Fendi sandals and she treatment me like I wasn’t going to purchase anything. In the end, she was right - I went across the street to Gucci where I received amazing service and bought a bag.

I decided to buy my LV bag based on functionality (as one of your tips). I always carry my small toiletries in a pouch, my book (b/c I love reading) and my small water bottle (basically all my essentials). The Speedy 25 was the right size for me as I am petite (one of your tips). I am truly happy with my LV. Thanks for sharing! Nice, helpful videos!

I can’t even imagine how many entitled customers you’ve encountered working in retail. Your patience must have been tested considerably. Hope this video help bring awareness to these people. I don’t have an SA, I shop mostly online. But one time, I saw the Alma available at the Santa Clara store which is about 2 hrs from me. I called the store and SA said they don’t have the bag. I said, it says in the website you have it and she said it must have sold. But I said the store just opened (my tone is not accusatory but just puzzled). I figure the bag must have sold to a customer who had an SA. This is the time I wish I had one. Anyway, I did not argue, was pleasant and politely thank her. I gave my number and asked her to text me if one becomes available and will pick it up ASAP. 3 hrs later, I got the text that she has the bag. We picked it up right away. Being nice helps. ☺️

Same here. When I first visited LV, I was not assigned a CA. Some CAs did smile and let me in but no one greeted me that they will assist me. I was happy to browse in peace. But my second visit, I was assigned a CA and they greeted me asking me what I would like. That gave me anxiety 😅 Fortunately I had items in mind I wanna see and buy if ever I liked the item in person. Didn’t like the idea of wasting someone’s time when all I wanted is to browse so that I can make a decision.

As someone who used to work in luxury retail, I am 100% with you about the clients who are in a rush. If you're treating yourself, don't you want to take your time? Or alternatively, we had clients (I worked for a time in jewelry) who would be shopping for their wedding rings the night before their wedding. So suddenly the sales staff is under pressure to get them their pieces for the biggest day of their lives, less than an hour before closing time. 🥲

The SAs do not follow up on my request for whatever reason. To me my request are very simple request such as this item in this size. Or to make an appointment to come in to make a purchase. Then when I come back and deal with another SA it seems like the store has a problem with that. But honestly I cannot worry about that based on the amount of money I am spending as well as I just want to make a purchase and not make it that complicated. But I look forward to the day a SA wants to work with me and help me make purchases over time.

Good, Solid advice M. I recall at the start of COVID19/masking/ store capacity, etc and the beginnings of wife number 5. The lines here at Rodeo were crazy. The best thing I did was to just text my old client advisor Nino. Even without the lines; just make an appointment. It was my wife's first time there. Her first real set of bags, luggage and accessories. It really made the day for her she had been looking forward to an experience like this my understanding is her entire life. Sadly during COVID19 we lost Nino due to other opportunities for her.

So we can understand that counterfeit is a huge business around the world and we all know that China allows products to be Karafit for profit

I am looking for a LV in the Azur. That is the only pattern I would like as it would go with most if my wardrobe. I am noticing the selection online is pretty slim in that pattern. I wanted either the Neonoe mm, Alma, speedy 25 bandoiliere or the pouchete metis, but none come in it. Do you know why there is such a slim selection? I did end up buying the Neverful mm, but thinking of returning it as it is just too big for my smaller frame (unless I keep it sinched up, then it's fine) Also, now noticed that there are no Neverfulls in the DA online since I purchased mine. What's up with that????
