It must be a brand new gun because the original one didn't have that funky metal plate with the serial number on the grip. Glad it worked this time.
Why did they make him go through an FFL? Every time I've had warranty service done on a pistol it's been sent straight back to my house; IIRC it's not considered a transfer when it's mailed between the owner and factory or owner and a gunsmith.
