- JOSHUA TREE 2017 TOUR FROM CLEVELAND Firstenergy Stadium, quite a bit of time spent trying to shoot around 200 people with their phones held as high as they could manage, turned out decent despite the masses. Like I stated elsewhere, the goofy (cool?) sounding drums for the 1st four songs is from me being 10 feet from Larry where the direct drum sound and then a split second later, the same sound piped over the stadium sound system was captured.

Just came across this, my dad and I went to this show and must have been 10 feet from you. I can hear him cheering. He passed away 2 years ago. This concert is one of my favorite memories. Thanks for this and getting a chance to hear my dads voice again 🥲
Bono mentions in the beginning of the show that their prayer was for the fans to have one of those epic nights they never forget. Epic does not begin to describe my evening. Best part of it was that my 18 year old son got to experience seeing U2 live for the 1st time. My 1st time was at the Richfield Coliseum in the 90's! So thankful for this footage!

7.1.17 at FirstEnergy Stadium in Cleveland. This was the most beautiful, amazing and magical night of my life to see and hear Bono and U2 live for the first time. I've loved you since I was 16, I'm 53 now, and will love you always. I have so much love and respect for Bono and U2. I hope I get to see them again some day.

My friend and I drove down from Detroit to see them that night. It was my first time seeing them.....incredible. BY FAR the best concert I've ever been to.
One week later, and I still cannot believe I was there! I am not a big crier, but I SOBBED the first two songs, especially when I saw Bono and The Edge enter the stage. I was truly "Star Struck"! It was just too much to take in! One of the best days of my life. Thank-you for sharing :-)
Thank you for capturing this great evening. 7/1/17 will always be a special one for me and my son. This show was his first - at 8 yrs old. I watched him as much as the show. This evening galvanized the passion of an already budding U2 fan. Every day is new gift for him, finding a song or video he hasn’t heard or seen. I couldn’t be happier for him. Thank you.
I was there in the 3rd row from the rail--our journey started the night before getting numbers for the wristband line-up, and then being there at 6 : 00 am that day to already see 261 of my fellow U2 fans lined up (I was number #263, friend was #262). The stadium staff did an EXCELLENT job of being positive, light-hearted, and well-organized through the whole process of moving 1,500 people onto the General Admission floor smoothly and happily. U2 fans know what community, peace and compassion means, and we all shared the night together. I made new friends along the way. This was my 3rd time seeing the band, and I'd met and got a kiss from Bono back in 1992, so I was satisfied way before this show began.I was there 30 years ago at Municipal Stadium here for the original Joshua Tree tour and the same friend was with me 30 years later for this show. She flew from L.A. specifically so she and I could share this night again together. Thank you so very much for this wonderful video and wonderful reminder of the "love, love, love" that always comes out at a U2 show.

I've attended a lot of concerts in my lifetime. This was definitely a top ten experience. I've watched this concert video footage many times since the show and it just keeps brining me back. It was an epic show and I just wanted to thank you for posting it. I will watch this again and again in the years to come.
I took my 13 year old son Joshua to this tour at the Rose Bowl. We will forever keep this memory! I love coming back here to watch this video too. A magical night for sure!

I'm 48 years old and these lads have always been my favorite band. My first ever concert was here in Cleveland on this night. If u all recall they were expecting rain at the mistake by the lake and it turned out to be unforgettable weather absolutely beautiful weather and show. We drove over from Toledo. Let's all meet at the sphere in Vegas the second half of 2023! ☘️

Saw them for the original tour in 1987. One of the most spiritual performances I have witnessed in all my years!! I had a college physics final exam the following morning. Needless to say I forgot about the physics test results and fondly remember this show in ATL.

I watched this in it s entire. I saw this tour, my 8th U2 CONCERT over the years.
For this tour, in Toronto, I was lucky to get tickets. I was a football field, 3 stories up. I was in the building, but so disconnect from them. When the screen wasn't showing them, we couldn't see them, they were so far. We partied to the music, still amazing that far, thanks to the sound crew. But you captured what people like in a concert. The people inside the band. I m a fan to the end. U2.

Thanks for the incredible visuals on what we heard outside as we sat on the lawn of the nearby Great Lakes Science Center. Almost seemed like The Edge's soaring and roaring riffs were like a fine red wine - best enjoyed after exposure to open air.

I am from Ireland...I am, I think, a humble man...I remember the start...I remember the big concerts and stunning U2 songs forged in the 80's...I was awed and hooked on their journey and still am.
I got the chance to witness their majesty and greatness live for the first time at the age of 50 in Glasgow, Scotland...

As always, Tim, you have done a masterful Job! This was my fourth Outing at an U2 concert, and the First for my friend, Lori, who attended it with me... As a RN, I had to be up at "Ass o'Clock" the next morning, to work a very busy and challenging 0700-1930 shift. IMO, it was totally worth every minute of the Hell that I endured at Work for the next 14 hours!!

Thank you for your great efforts to make, and share, this video. As a very late-comer attentive fan (as opposed to a very casual appreciator) of U2 -- thanks to Stories of Surrender show in Chicago last fall -- I have been catching up by watching all interviews, concerts etc. that I can find. This one is a gem and again, thank you for posting it!! Though I may feel mad at myself about all the past concerts I passed up the chance to go to, videos such as these, combined with the lingering effects of the experience of Bono's transcendent presence, fill in many gaps. A gift to humankind. What an evening you experienced!! "For the curious, for the faithful, let yourself be seen," he said. "For those hanging on . . . we will find common ground reaching for higher ground." Awesome!

Thanks for this the sound is fantastic. I was about as big a fan as it was possible to be in the 80s and 90s but the magic got lost for me in recent year's, but this has at least let me see the Joshua tour 2017 show in full. Saw them dozens of times when I was young and for me they should of called it a day a long time ago but they still sound magnificent and they will always be my number 1 no matter how I may feel years on. There music was the music of angry young men and that was the key and the beauty

I like it...when the focusing goes out, it's like...well that's creative cinematography. Love U2 and having watched your video compilation. I'm sure it's not your first gig, so some advice. The shot doesn't always have to be so tight, especially if your on the run without stabilizers. Even with being locked into a spot where your POV is sometimes obscured. Events like these seem to translate well when you encompass other subjects or activity, the positive part of a slightly wider shot. Having been a videophile for over 4 decades, i applaud you for you efforts and time creating this, from recording, which I'm sure was a great experience in it self. Keep at it, because there are those of us out there wanting to appreciate it.

I was there. Working for ONE. We were invited to watch the show, stage left in the front row. The Edge was so close, I could have reached out and touched him. The tribute to the ONE Campaign at the end made all the sweat and hard work worth it.
