- The better of the 2 weekend shows in Chicago in my opinion, the band seemed more energized, as well as the crowd. This was a really difficult shoot as I was behind the Red Zone and had to shoot around many cell phones in the air and heads, and I never lift my camera above eye level as not to block anyone's view. Also the FZ300 Panasonic gives a great picture, but has trouble focusing when there is a lot of movement. Here it is, warts and all!

Went to the show in Philadelphia. My wife convinced me to just enjoy the show with her and stop taking videos. Admittedly, I too obliged with knowing I can always go back to your videos to relive the experience. Thank You. These are better productions than U2's historically video production.

I was front row on the rail in front of red zone by b-stage. too busy living in the moment rocking the fuck out in pure bliss during the best night of my life to even take a picture... wish I could tell all the people with their phones up "THERES A GUY BEHIND YOU WITH A PROFESSIONAL 4K CAMERA, YOU MORONS. PUT AWAY YOUR PHONES AND ENJOY THE SHOW." people that have their phones out the whole show drive me crazy...but I very much appreciate the professional tapers. quality is unreal here, and you managed to capture at least 2 moments during the show I recall Bono looking at me and grinning... that means the world to me. I can't prove it was me he was smiling at but I remember...so I know...and that's enough for me. thank yoooou thank you thank you. best night of my life. thanks for doing such an amazing job capturing this on film, thanks for posting to CZcams for all of us to enjoy. October 20, 1987 I saw them on the original Joshua Tree. Front row center, my hands were on the rails, 10 feet from Bono. It was amazing then and amazing show in Chicago, my home town June 3, 2017 as well. My seat this time was nowhere near as close. In this show, I though Exit was the best, as an Edge fan first and foremost, along with the amazing strobe video effect on the big screen which wasn't shown during this video. It was a tour de force. This show brought me back 30 years, to a special time - one I'll never forget. I've been following the band since 1983, many magical moments.

I just wanted to enjoy the show like in the days before cell phones. Admittedly, I did so in the hopes that you would be somewhere in the audience capturing the show for us, and you were! So very grateful. Maybe you'll be at a few more shows, like say, Minneapolis? Hint, hint. 😄

Ah ok. Was going to try for Cleveland, but then they added the Sept shows. I'm planning on Indianapolis and St. Louis in addition to Minneapolis maybe. Missed this tour the first time back in '87. Making up for it this time around, but do need to save some money for SOE tour. 😉

can I thank you so much for posting this gig, of course there will be phones in air but the picture is so clear and sound is good also. That's always an issue either sound or picture or both.

rijavecb thank you but what I have is chronic, I have degenerative disc disease in my lower spine, it's osteoarthritis which is now is attacking my spinal joints plus I have Fibromyalgia which has no cure.
my backs very unstable at the moment.

Excellent footage and sound. They sound as good or better than they did at the Seattle show on May 18, 2017. Will catch them one more time in San Diego on Sept. 22, 2017. This is one of their best tours.

This video is awesome! I just saw them last night in Minneapolis, but the sound inside of US Bank Stadium is mushy, and you had to be straight on to see the video stuff. Amazing energy when they started off with so many powerful songs.

This is fantastic. I was at the Louisville show less than a week later and am going to the Phoenix show in September. Do they let you take in a DSLR or did you have to sneak it in past security?? This is great footage, thanks for posting.
Hoping to get a rail spot near tip of the tree so I can film from a great vantage point in Cleveland, I dont think ill be able to get there early enough though. We will see how it plays out.

Thank you for this show. Why cant people shut the F*%^ up at Chicago shows. Talkers and drunks. I like how the one drunk wouldn't shut up during "Running" and then Bono mentions chris cornell and the drunk yells "yea", probably mid conversation.
