    In this video, I took a Volvo D13 and did a forced regen using tech tool on a pc to read all the parameters. This allows us to see in detail how the DPF system is doing.

    These videos are awesome! My dream job is to be a heavy diesel mechanic working on big trucks can't afford to go to school so I gotta find a shop that will take an appreciate but these videos are so helpful learning

    Volvo’s and their check engine lights, gotta love them. Dosing manifold faults, oil thermostat control valves, even a faulted CD player has set a DTC in out fleet.

    Thank you for this video. Personally, I do like your video and hope you can continue to share more. My experience is that sometimes after I perform the DPF regen by using Tech Tool, I have to run a SCR regen to bring the soot level down. So, could you make another video about the SCR regen, please? Or NOx convertion test as mentioned in your video. Thanks again!

    I've got tech tool from OTR Performance, it resets and doing forced regen in case if you have a problem with derate engine due to aftertreatment issues.

      Dawd Dawd thanks for watching. OTR will let you reset and force regen but, if there is an existing issue than the faults can return if not fixed and just cleared out. 🇺🇸👊🏼💪🏼🔧

      @@TATEXPRESSINC You are right it resets just temporary. I put review just because some people have to tow their trucks and this tool helps to forced regen and get to any shop they trust.

    I’ve replaced pressure differential sensor, wiring harness, flex pipe, rock guard, def sensor, 7th injector and cleaned the DPF. This wasn’t done all at once which would have saved me some money if I had. 3 different shop visits and over $5000 combined cost. Hopefully now it’s fixed, but I’m not holding my breath.

    What about a low soot LV and truck still requesting a parked regen after driving 1-2 hrs after performing a parked regen? Coolant Lvs constantly drop but no coolant leak.

    I got volvo with cummins isx15
    issue is after every 1200 mile drove ATS gauge is full and says need to park regen. Continue same problem and no check engine light.

    Trying to do a forced regen with tech tool software , keeps showing conditions not met and to check the components. Aftertreatment from the truck (forced parked regen) showing condition not met but everything checks "ok " .. can you pls make a video how to check every component for the aftertreatment, even with the pc running the sensors .

    I drive a 2021 Volvo VNL760. The heater stop working after the cab get to 63 degrees. The only way to get the heater to work is to turn it to red. Then heat come out at 145 degrees.

    TAT EXPRESS I need some help with my 2014 D13 i've been having problem with getting the temperature higher than 240 on T! and 230 on T2 while doing regen i change 7 injector which was not clog but i change, i change the AHI , i change the SCR injector dozer valve. No luck there is no code that i can look for it. any suggestion i will appreciate.I also did the reseting and nothing the truck went into derate 5 mile and doesn't want to let go.

    Bro I really do appreciate your videos, your presentation makes it to where I can basically understand what you are talking about. I have been watching your videos since before I bought my 2013 Volvo T670 D13, 720,000 miles, anyways, I have a question, I have had the truck for 3 months, it has been running excellent, I have only had to do a regen once, when I first drove into Colorado and it was really cold, the first time I had driven the truck in extreme cold weather, anyways, that went fine, I haven't had to do it since, that was in the beginning of January, okay so after that the truck has been very good, but here recently I have been experiencing a loss of power, and I mean it does it like one night, then drives fine for a few days and then it will start doing it again, it is very slight, it is most noticeable when I am loaded and going up a hill, the sound of the engine changes, kinda like it is sputtering, it feels like it stops accelerating, and the engine code it shows on the ECM is SPN 94, FMI 18
    The Samsara ELD I have hooked to the truck says that the code is related to low fuel delivery pressure.
    Also, let me tell you that all this, it seemed like it started occurring after I accidentally filled the truck up with off-road diesel, it was also 20% bio diesel, since I bought the truck I haven't changed either fuel filter.
    Will you please share any thoughts on this matter. And seriously, I honestly am thankful for you videos and the expertise that you provide on these trucking matters.

    So I just bought a 2016 yesterday. Besides a forced regen, does it regen while driving? I've been driving an 05 for 10 years so I have no idea about this def stuff lol..thanx and great video!

      Mr Sully, normally the truck will do a active regen while driving on the highway for a long period of time. If you do a lot of idling or have an issue on the aftertreatment system the truck may ask for a parked regen.

      I would not recommend anything besides DEF.

    I have Volvo 2019 vnl 760 so 2 months already I have problems with the ABS so no one can fix it! First time I went to Albuquerque Volvo dealer they charged me $800 after I start driving it’s on again second time love’s truck stop they couldn’t I been a lot of services they changed sensors again is on still!! Some of them says need change computer another one says some cable problem, the odometer is 460 000 !!
    So how do you advice ????

    Hey there question for you what would cause my temps to drop once my fuel doser starts dosing temps go up reaches about 800- 850 and then they drop to about 600

      Have you checked to see if the doser is clogged with carbon? Also when was the last time the doser was serviced?

    Broke my oil thermostat valve the bottom part of it in the engine,having a helluva time getting it out. Trying pick tools and everything. The space is just so tight. Damn near want to take the tire off to get more leverage. Volvo 2016 d13.
    It was telling me I needed to do a parked regen,then this was random I plugged in my electric oven and my service engine soon light came right on. I figured it was a fluke,but ran the codes and it was for crankcase sensor and oil sensor valve. So I used my otr reset tool to turn them off,kept trying to do parked regen & it never met parameters, even though it said it did on the EATS.. So I tried to force regen over and over with OTR Tool & it wouldn't do it. Called around and most people said I have to replace the oil pressure valve. So that lead me to this horrible situation🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️

    When regen my d13 the 7th injector is not working right. My purge air valve stays at 100% and the injector pressure only goes to 2 psi. Could it be a fault ahi module

      Sounds like the doser block but, I would test before replacing.

    Must be nice to have a computer .. software from vnl truck dose the regen but it dosen't reset , so the sensor still showing full .. that s how you get a driver stock In the middle of nowher.. thanks ingeneirs! ruining drivers life like a pro .

      Perdo, that usually means there is an issue going on with the system. I recommend having truck checked out.

      Jose Rodriguez, a new ECM, and ATS hardware would be needed to get the vehicle back to compliance.

    Why would an mp8 with new doc dpf and 7th injector all Temps reach full only brings soot down 10 percent after 40 minutes when it calls for a regen also new dpf sensor always have to reset soot level once a month

    Hi my name is Mirko and i have 2012 cascadia heavy duty with cummins 15 year ago i change doser walve ,month ago i am geting some problems i got solid light for regen my truck asking for park regen which i did and that light was gone but after 250 miles come again and mechanic change diferential presure sensor again light went off but same way come again we change 7 th injector did regen for 4 hours this light is still on but during regen temp went to about 1000 f and come back down to about 480 to 520 after 1 hour and 20 min and this temp play for hours like that and light for regen is still on my mechanic say go on short trip maybe will go off what i can do and thank u for ur time

    What could cause Temperature T3 goes over 60 degrees than normal during Parked Regen.
    Than 7th injector stop pumpinf fuel and wait until temperature goes on normal.
    That happens several times during Parked Regen.
    For 1 hour Regen is completed and my diagnostic said that,,,, but truck said procces Parked Regen doesn't meets.
    DPF filter is new.

    Hey Adam, I got a Volvo d13 that when you put it into regen the fuel shut off valve opens up, T1 stays around 600F, T2 goes up to 980 F , T3 around 920F and it’s kicks out of regen. Temp drops, egr opens up for about 3 mins, then goes into regen again, and as soon as it gets to temp it kicks out again. Has DPF and doc cleaned out, new doser module and fuel doser. Also no DTCs. Checked for coolant from egr cooler but nothing found. No excesive soot build up before cleaning dpf. Any suggestions or anything I’m missing? Thank you.

    My 2015 VNL730 w/ D13 seems to me (a newbie) to require a parked regen often. It’s used as an RV Hauler and I’ve only put just shy of 10,000 miles on the truck in the 9 months. The truck now has 730k miles on it and unfortunately, I didn’t get any maintenance history when I bought it.
    It required a regen after about 4000 miles on my trip last fall; showing a DEF quality fault and simultaneously requiring a parked regen, which it successfully completed in about 40 minutes.
    Then with about another 4000 miles (this spring) it did the same thing; showed the DEF quality fault and required a parked regen. And again, it successfully completed and the DEF Quality fault was automatically cleared.
    Does this seem normal?
    Why the DEF Quality fault when it needs a parked regen?
    Doesn’t some regen take place while driving?
    Also, I completely filled the DEF tank before my most recent trip and after several hundred miles the tank gauge still reads FULL. Seems to me, it should have fallen at least a little. What do you think?

      Depending on the mileage, the filters may have to be cleaned also there are other components that need cleaning to ensure engine is running efficient.

    I have a question I’m getting a code for my 07 Volvo with the D11 engine. The code is recirculated engine exhaust temperature abnormal rate of change. I changed the turbo, the egr valve, I had the cooler cleaned, and the DPF cleaned. Along with that code I have power lost the is intermittent. I watch it with my scanner and the power was cut in 1/2 and the it would come right back like nothing even happened. Can you please help thanks !!!

      Big Josh, have you checked the EGR differential pressure sensor and intake sensors? Also, after repairs the system must be reset to relearn new hardware.

      TAT Express Inc. ok I just looked up the pressure sensor for the egr..... I changed that I just didn’t know the name of it. I broke it while I was taking off the DPF filter to get it cleaned

      If you air having issues with DEF and you have a crankcase pressure fault, this would need to be trouble shot first.

    Yeah paid edvertising again. Volvo D 13 is a Super crab engine/ injector.caps/injectors/ cylinder heads /broken Valvs/ timing gears and so in on/ after 600000 mi average $ 20 000 per year for repairs
