The Eurovision Song Contest is back!
With the 2019 edition taking place in Tel Aviv, the drums are already beating to see whoâll take Nettaâs crown, but first, itâs YOUR turn to decide whoâll be joining the party as the UKâs entrant.
Six acts will compete for the honour of representing the United Kingdom at the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2019. Mel Giedroyc and Mans Zelmerlow host live from MediaCityUK in Salford as viewers get the chance to vote for the song they want to represent the UK in Tel Aviv, Israel, in May.

She had the weaker studio version but killed it on the night! Holly 100% deserved to go through. Everyone knows Eurovision would go crazy for a couple of sexy cowboys lol!

@Adam white Tamta definitely deserved Top 10 at least. I am still listening to "Replay" quite regularly. As a native Texan, I really enjoyed Holly's countryesque version of "Bigger Than Us," and watching dancing cowboys never bothers me at all ; )

We have some of the top songwriters and singers in the world and yet we send average songs at best. So disappointing. I wish the BBC took it a bit more seriously.

The show was already made for Micheal to win but if we got rid of the back up dancers we could of had a great song I just think we took country to seriously
Looking back on this performance, I feel like if we had sent this version instead of Michael I think we would have done better. Maybe not a lot better, but I think we could have gone a bit further up the right hand side of the final leaderboard. Its just a bit more unique than Micheal's power ballad version. I mean the song was limited, but its just got a bit more in it for this version.
No matter which way here in the comments section the debate swings whether it's upbeat country Vs anthemic Holly Vs Michael... We only have to look at the songs that did well from other countries to understand how high the bar needed to be. This song, no matter how it was spun was never ever going to win Eurovision. If we go for banality we get meagre points.
Just in my humble opinion though, with what we had, we should have sent this but amplified the country and Celtic sound much more and reworked staging. It would have put us in the left of the scoreboard but nowhere near top. Let's do what the Swedes do or if not maybe the BBC should hand over the reigns to a channel that's hungry for the win.

I wanted Jordan or Holly to represent because they were so catchy. No offence to Michaels but I personally did not like his performance, it lacked the flare that the other two had.
Can we vote for this to be our entry in 2025....add a few more (topless) cowboys and some bucking broncos, and all bases are covered!

she seems from this to have had a better voice than Michael (although he was probably very nervous on the night) but she is very professional and a beautiful voice. But think the song is dire, don't think it was only his fault we lost, but whoever chose the song.
That's what we get for letting a Swede write a song for us who also happens to be competing himself in the same year for his country. His song wasn't great but he made damn sure it was better than ours!

I honestly think the version from Michael is wayyy better and you have a big chance to end up top 10 or even top 5 this year!

Holly was on the X Factor to so would be well known, Lucie Jones was to we got points from the juries and public to that year we finished with 111 points Europe seem to like The X Factor

Au contraire, they are great and add a welcome sexiness. The lyrics convey a rapport with a partner, thus the two boys on stage.. They wouldn't be necessary if this was a duo say by her and Michael Rice

The version that would have ended up far from last. Thanks, BBC! You were so desperate to get a winner of one of your talent shows onto a global stage with minimum input from yourself that you ended up embarrassing and breaking the heart of a 21 year-old boy who never stood a chance with his unreliable vocals, lack of performance skills and lack of appeal to the European audience.

I blame that useless pratt Rylan Clark, it was him & the clueless "judges" that denied the public the opportunity to vote what was the superior version of the song, As for Rice Zero stage presence!!!
