Removing the Passenger Seat In My Chevy Trailblazer

- I removed the passenger seat from my Chevy Trailblazer. I really wanted more room and I certainly have more room. This was an easy modification and it was worth it. This is a 2006, Chevy Trailblazer that I have been modifying for into an overlanding rig that works for me. Please do your own research and do what it right for you. I am not responsible for your mistakes because I am not a professional.

I love Bruce's expressions! Such a good companion!
Thank you Norm. He really is!
Bruce is the supervisor for the day !
I think I passed especially after I let him eat an old treat that was under that seat lol
to those who have any doubts...Ive had a 02 Trailblazer since brand new and currently have 240k miles, no wrecks, and still running strong. Car has been extremely heavily driven for years in Las Vegas heat and really still has no issues. Good job tho I like your truck and a lot of the setup especially! Be safe out there!
I'm at 305k on my 02
Bruce is like, I can't believe she took my seat out🙄
Thanks again guys. I hope both of you enjoy the extra room. It looked to me like you knew what you were doing and that you had a really good foreman ( Brucee ). Till next time, HAPPY TRAILS.
Ha, do you think I passed the inspection?
Nice selection of music. I see you still remember how to use a "foxtail " from your Navy days. You might want to put the nuts back on the seat bolts so they don't get lost in case you want to put the seat back in. No more picking up hitch hikers in the middle of nowhere with the seat gone.
I’d put the OEM nuts back on and place Acorn nuts (Fastenal is one source) on the remaining exposed threads to reduce the chances of getting cut on the exposed threads.
I wonder if she registered a seat belt light or air bag light after seat removal and unplugging that (yellow) plug?
In the GM world, yellow wiring or a yellow plug generally indicates the air bag circuit. Read up on neutralizing the air bag circuit *before* unplugging yellow plugs, if you’re going to DIY this modification.
They are in my tool box! No worries but the seat is at the dump with the other seats.
Fortunatley, whoever totaled the car before took care of that for me! No lights
She’s gorgeous
Thank you
Have you ever done a video about all of your modifications and how you ended up setting up your Trailblazer? I have a 2006 GMC Envoy and I'm getting ready to do what you've shown in this vid. It would be awesome to know more about what you like about what you've done, don't like, would have done different, etc. I just found your channel today from searching for seat removal info. I'll continue looking to see if you show what you have going on in your other travel vids. Thank you for sharing all of the vids you have shared! :)
Plenty of room for activities
Hey, I’m getting ready to go off the grid with my trailblazer similar to your channel. That’s crazy and very interesting. Could I possibly schedule some advice and pay of course I’m sure you maybe would love to talk to me for free but I’m sure everyone’s especially your time is very important and valuable, but I would for sure want some advice.
Lol it’s crazy I’m putting my cooling in the same spot
Nice
Wooooo que buen video excelente explicación
I always end up busting my knuckles pulling electrical connections apart like that. Removing the seat did open up alot of room.
Every dang time, Michael!
good job
Thanks Dave
Why dont you just put a bean bag or rice pillow under it to hold it steady while lifting the cooler to the height you want it and use the beans or rice to position it like you want it.
Just found this and love it. Planning to buy a new trailblazer and remove all the seats also and cannot wait to see your other videos if you did that also. Don't judge me, i'm a woman but that thing you're using..what is it called, i know it isn't a normal wrench..what tool kit is that? Subbed and thanks for this video.
Just gave me a project 06 blazer just got another engine for it bc I just can’t let gooooo😂😂😂😂😂
