Good lord, that is one aware, intelligent, assertive, wise, articulate, tactful, creative little girl!
How amazing!!!
U too
Idk why the focus is on her smartness rather than the situation of hers and majority of the children
She’s that intelligent because of how her parents raised her: always learning and talking to adults such as teachers. That’s why many Asians use this technique to raise their children, even if it seems abusive to western people. But that’s how you create well taught children. The father in this clip probably wanted her to do something else than gaming such as playing outside, a hobby or sports etc. Or he was a jerk and wanted her to study 24/7… which is abusive

This is absolutely not a genuine dialogue. The attention seeking is getting out of hand for parents to be making their kids act like this.

My husband worked at an after school Korean school. The children would arrive an hour after school let out (3:30 pm) and study debate until 8 pm. These poor children were under a tremendous amount of pressure from their parents and were on the verge of a mental breakdown. My husband gave all the students full credit just for attending class. He would schedule one day a week to just have fun but it was extremely important that neither the school nor the parents didn’t find out. These children were between the ages of 10 and 13. Raising a happy adult was more important to us than his children getting good grades as long as they gave education their best effort.

I appreciate her Dads gentle way with her, especially while she is expressing herself so emotionally. Her argument was sound. Her obvious efforts require a reward, & it's great that she knows that enough to negotiate for it! A beautiful interaction! 🏆🙏💐
Oh mannnnn! Give this cute and smart little girl a big hug, and let her playing longer.
Her communication skills are amazing. And it also seemed like her dad was actually listening which I think is even better. Too many times kids try to stand up for themselves and are crushed right away
right. most people including me grow up with deep insecurity issues because we are always being told to shut up for being a child, incapable of thinking maturely and cannot defend ourselves and worst is that we only have to listen to the adults counting our daily mistakes... their idea of trying to discipline us is to count and slap us our mistakes and barely praised for our good deeds.. that good actions are expected but mistakes are being badly criticized. however, this girl in the video are able to express herself clearly i can tell that the dad is giving her enough confidence to be able to speak up.

As a Chinese girl at the age of fourteen, I can understand the pressure that this poor child is being put through. It isn't fair for someone as small as her to be robbed of the the simplest of wishes, she shouldn't be forced to live a life that her parents have set out for her so soon, it's even sadder how maturely she speaks. Though, I can say that I respect her.

It's the kind of education they receive.
That’s heartbreaking to see her cry like that. It should not get to the point that the child has a breakdown like this. This cannot be the first time that she has expressed her need for a break and time to play.
Exactly, the girl needs a hug
Heartbreaking it's to lose a childs for this crazy world, she's amazing because their parents it's amazing as well.
I grew up the same. In China you cannot play for too long. If you do, you get left behind. We are too many, the competition is too strong. If you rest and play for too long, somebody else who doesn't and has greater resilience towards studying will get ahead, while you'll be left behind. As much as I remember feeling the same like this little girl during my childhood, I would not allow my children to play for too long either if I was still living in China. There the gov doesn't help you, one doesn't have the security felt in the westen countries, you are basically on your own. It better be a well trained "your own", otherwise you don't stand a chance in chinese society. Most people in the west will not educate their children like that. I'm not doing it either since my kids are growing in the west. But if I was living in China, no matter how much my kids would cry for free time, they will only have the free time that I allow, and that will be very little by my own understanding of what constitutes success in China. I know that later on my kids will not get ahead in life because of the free time they've had, but because of the work they had to do. It's a rigged system, you can't rest for too long, if you don't play the game, work and excell, you will get nowhere in China. Outside of China there is more freedom and one can do what one wants, inside of China there is no freedom and you will do as you're told, regardless of how much you cry. This is what my dad told me when I was little. So then I reasoned I wanted no longer to live in China. Now I enjoy more freedom and my children do too! People from the west who see this clip must understand that this girl's situation is common place for almost every child educated in Chinese society. The way the gov rules the country is the same way we rule over our children. They scrictly must obey, or else... A sad system I would say, now that I know any different.
@@wangxiaoming8989it's quite sad to hear that, but at least it gives some context to the video. We don't know much about the Chinese society, after all so we can't really judge the parents for being strict when we live in a different country.
@@mynameiseden6127I’m a Chinese student. While the person above is right about the education system in China, I just want to say that the parents are still strict. But sadly it’s normalised because people are forced to be this way so their children can survive in our society. But just because we live in a different environment doesn’t mean that things always have to be this way and are right to be this way. You can have free time, what truly matters is the time management. And I believe a good mind comes with a balance between work and rest. The parents are still strict, but yes, there is a good reason to it, and I don’t see that things would change in the next few decades…
Shes adorable very wise and parents should be v proud
If my inner child could say words. This is what she would say. Wisdom comes from pain 💕. Onward, lil sis. Thank you for healing my 6 year old self.
she’s well aware of the unrealistic expectations her parents and society have on her. she’s reasoning so logically with her dad despite sobbing that not only has she completed all her work, but that she’s a good girl ALL the time. she knows her worth and the effort she puts in. i wish for her to never allow herself to get treated badly. she’s a bright one.
For real and for sure.
Yep, kids in china have it very hard.
For the whole asian kids
Why share on the internet and not keep in privacy
She's more mature than her dad could ever be.
This little girl broke my heart with her brilliant negotiating skills, impressive respect and emotional honesty. She will be a force for good as an adult.
Not in China she won't. It's a Communist dictatorship. She's screwed, that's all they want is robots.
Not in that country.
This comment is pretty naive. I would make a pretty big bet with you she will end up emotionally broken and NOT a good person because of her overly strict upbringing. (If what she says is true)
This is not negotiating. She is pleading, begging for some time for herself. If this continues, as somebody says above, it will end up very badly for her
She knows what is important.
She is very smart Dad, keep up the great work.
She's brilliant and smart girl❤❤❤ God bless her
“Please treasure our childhood days.”
“Not even a robot could do it!”
This kid really tells words of wisdom, words so wise you’d expect them coming from an adult. This really is so emotional is hurts. I hope the father gave her more free time after how she explained herself to the fullest.
The internet has a lot of information for people to find quotes. It isn’t wisdom but learnt knowledge. Wisdom is something deeply developed through overcoming their own ordeals through the many steps of griefs with in the end accepting those mistakes. But the little girl is still too young to be called wise. Knowledge, intelligence, and Self Empathy is all it takes to develop her own understanding towards her needs to convince or convey.
Like intelligence, wisdom itself can vary even for geniuses. It’s unique to all people as it has their own perspectives.
@@errebusaether Well sorry, but english isn’t my mother tongue. Still, thanks for explaining.
@@nightfallnoir I felt that those were words of wisdom. You didn't say that the child was wise, what she said was wise irrespective of how she acquired the knowledge, her words were still wise. I thought that you made a fair comment. Even if English isn't your first language, you expressed yourself more clearly than so many native English speakers. Respects and blessings to you.
@@errebusaether Internet may be full of such quotes but it takes wisdom and understanding to use those quotes at the appropriate moment
She proves she has the wisdom by choosing her words at the exact time it is required. She is not just blurting stuff out. She understands those words well herself. Hence the admiration for her apparent maturity despite her young age
@@hrzn202 True, indeed. She used it at the right time. But that is based on her ability to retain knowledge and understand the situation. She truly understands the meaning of those words through gaining the information through internet sources, but wisdom is gained through experience in living with a deeper understanding. While intelligence is accumulated information through the mind. It is practically intelligence that she is displaying which is fundamental to every living organism especially when she is human.
In short, it’s intelligence that is the main factor for her knowledge whilst wisdom at a fundamental level is another factor for her understanding. In an ordinary person’s dictionary, she’s a wise child but to us she’s not too extraordinary in terms of wisdom.
She still has a lot to live for before she’s even free from those desires. The desire causes conflict to wisdom. It’s too farfetched to call a child wise when their full of desire. I wouldn’t call myself wise either way as I am still conflicted in this life. Maybe in the far future everyone will achieve that wisdom depending on how they perceive their own pain to walk forward in fulfilling their desires.
Perhaps, fulfilling your lesser desires, and your ultimate desire is the key to freeing oneself from samsara. Life is still a mystery, it doesn’t matter whether we judge others or not. In the end, we’re all the same seeking for the truth, subconsciously. My apologizes for my off topic. Hahaha.😅

My good God . How precious and sad. I have three kids and although none ever spoke so articulately that is what their eyes told me because as a parent I knew discipline , studies was the way to success later in life. We loaded so much on my first two kids : they had school then HW and then extra studies to do more challenging math problems And reading and weekend math and soccer . Worried about grades and science project and on and on so they could get to good colleges and university . It was such a whirlwind . I knew they were stressed but I did not know a better way because everyone was doing the same and I did not want my kids to be left behind . I am now blessed with an 8 year old now and I totally changed my approach . I let her have much more freedom and friends play time . We still do the extra study stuff but balance it out with her own freedom
And play time . Covid allowed me to have much more time with my youngest in the park teaching her to ride bicycle , and so on . School about to end and we have lots of plans for summer about which she is excited and blurted out I love my life . Finally for once I feel like I am doing something right . Truly the memories I have with her is worth more than anything else
Your so smart beautiful soul..father let her play! Shes very intelligent, she understand her right as a child. So sad 😢 let her enjoy being a child..i love you baby
I'm blown away by her maturity and heartbroken for her at the same time. She has so much potential, it's crazy.
If you feel that you are not good enough and must exhaust your emotional energy well-being, beyond a child's capacity you overwhelm the ego into despair and retreat. Childhood is short lived. Allow children their realm in freedom. Good enough is just fine.
Simple mind people would have missed this, but all the studying from everyday has made her this awesome with her rebuttals. A regular kid won't know how to respond this well.
Congrats to the father.
