Thatcher owes a lot to Joseph. Yes, she became a Member of Parliament and a Cabinet Minister at her own graft, but he greatly helped her become party leader and PM. He influenced her beliefs in the 1970s.

It wasn't only Margaret Thatcher . Professor Vernon Bognador's lecture on the legacy of Sir Keith is well worth viewing

Why has not anyone commented? People clearly wanted Brexit so why on earth would you not champion this angel and Sir Keith and his policies?

Gee Reason, I owe so much to Sir Keith Joseph. It's a shame that he's not wider known but perhaps that's what he wanted.
He and Lady Thatcher also a few others changed the fortunes of every Briton and most of eastern Europe. I just wish in my own way to live out and constantly state what these people dedicated their life to.

I know who Sir Keith was thank you and he and Thatcher did indeed change the fortunes of millions; we have gone from a large empire to a thrid rate hostel for criminal millionnaire opportunists over the past 30 or so years. Simply saying that Sir Keith and Thatcher forwarded the interests of of every Briton does not make it so. You are clearly high on mindless rhetoric. The miners or the steel workers before them did have their fortunes changed but clearly not for the better so you are not being in anyway accurate and that is what is deeply suspect about all right opinion that I encounter: it is just never ever remotely factual, it's always so much waffle because you are it seems all so disoriented by the erosion of the nation state on one hand and the rapcious and proliferating effects of global capitalsm on the other. If you are confused and uncertain like many many people in this country are then admit it and break free from your harmful delusions.

@@laurelead As the grandson of a miner may I say one person is responsible for the plight of the miners. His name is Arthur Scargill and he lives in a luxury flat in the Barbican paid for by the miners' funds.

@@CA-ee1et can you not see how your comment might be seen as typically millennial putting yourself at the centre of a historical turning point. As the grandson of a miner... Emote much?
