Serena, beautiful piece that should be a springboard in secondary schools to start discussions in mental health…straight from a Canadian icon… honest, real message that it is okay to not be okay.

Amazing story, and an even better way of putting it all together. To form a stronger whole one must be vulnerable and open enough to fall apart. In this lies the the definition of the feminine its not being weak or gendered specific but an energy of growth that takes real strength from which both men and women need to learn.

I don’t have words for how proud I am of you… 💚💪 Keep writing, keep singing, but most of all- keep doing whatever makes you feel peace and closest to the wise-mind version of yourself.
PS: I was the one with the Pentagram ring in Houston💜

    This is fantastic!!!
I am a mental health counsellor and believe that we really need to allow ours lives to feel our feelings. So often we push them down, cover them with self medicating and/or prescriptions.
All to often we want a quick fix... I am no different. When my anxiety gets high I just want it to go away. But if we allow ourselves the space to feel and explore we can discover a lot of things about ourself.
Thank you for sharing your story, thank you for making this video. Thank you for reaching out .... but most of all thank you for being you!

I loved this. I have a long battle with mental health passed down from generations. After losing my dad this album has meant so much for me. Once again digging my way out to find myself. Thanks Serena

Thank for this... My brother from Ontario shared your song Better Now, and it leads me to this video. I am also a mental illness patient and you have inspired me so much. Love from Japan.

My partner died suddenly I started counselling for my mental health and bereavement counselling will follow. Listening just now and the crying makes more sense right to let these tears cascade. Serena only discovered your music recently four major life events in 3 month period too much. You've inspired me 🤗 thank you 💛

I’m a crier too. And an empath who collects others feelings. Sometimes I don’t even know who or why I’m crying for and it will last a minute and be done and sometimes not. It just is what it is and I’ve incorporated it into my life too ❤️ I hope you have safe spaces to talk Serena, if you’re looking for another, let me know. You are invaluable. 🥰❤️

I found it's hard to cry when you're on antidepressants.. Stroke survivors know that the brain has a considerable ability to heal. Sometimes just time and rest can actually accomplish a lot.

I LOVE the emotional intelligence growing!! I'm on an EQ learning journey as well and it feels SO nice to hear it being spoken about by musician(s) I've always loved but this brings us to another level of awesomeness, because you're not singing about the same toxic cycles we fail to get out of. You sing about change and THAT is what I want to hear more of! Especially in a world full of trauma bonds

Thank you for sharing Serena, I agree that crying helps, I wish it was easier to do. I have years of pent-up tears that need to flow and it feels HEAVY. Even therapy hasn't worked, I don't know if anyone has any suggestions...

Sadly not everyone has the luxury of falling apart. Not when bills need to be paid and your other option is homelessness
