I mean it's 100% true. I get that Miami had a lot of heart and effort, but Bucks got taken by surprise and Giannis was hurt, which for a team centered around Giannis was a big disruption. New York was never the better team against the Heat, except in the minds of NY fans. Boston really beat itself, cause most games the Heat were barely scoring. Every game was like 104, 102, etc. Credit to the heat for taking the W, but let's not act like THEY won those games when clearly the Celtics lost them due to multiple internal reasons. Unless you're also a stan of the Heat, then you would be fair enough to acknowledge those things that did happen.

If Herro was there he could've messed with team chemistry and I doubt they would pull this off with him not getting injured. This is nothing new, we saw many times in professional sports that sometimes injuries make teams play better and more cohesive. Even 76rs played better without Embid and won all 3 playoff games without him.

As elite as Murray has been in playoff career so far Jokic has still technically never played with another All Star, All NBA, All NBA defensive, great bench/coach (+ team very unhealthy last 2 years + that fact yet ppl are surprised a recent 28 year old Jokic hasn’t made a finals until this year?!?! It’s a TEAM game ppl! fmvp is very important for a legacy, if you win a ring and you are not the best player that makes a huge difference to winning a chip while being the dude that carried them. The flaw is that it's a FINALS mvp and not a playoffs mvp which would make a lot more sense

    • @HopefulNihilist

Did Broussard *really* just say that Finals MVP isn’t that important for a player’s legacy, it’s just winning the finals?!?
It’s already ridiculous how much a team accomplishment gets brought up in INDIVIDUAL greatness debates but now he’s cutting his own legs out. If it’s just rings and not FMVPs, then by Brou’s logic Horry > Jordan
