- 'Oscar Fever' - Written and performed by Tim Heidecker as part of Second Annual Live Oscars Special of On Cinema At the Cinema 2014.
He's got the Oscar Fever... have you?
This video belongs to those that created it. I simply edited the song out of the full 2 hour video here: • Second Annual Live Osc...
"maybe later we'll have a reprise of that song" is the understatement of the century
This assessment will stay with me forever
I don't get it
And I know things going to go really well is the overestimation of the century

@@aarontschetter1743he basically doesn't stop singing it, tim is extremely impressed with his ability to perform this tune
Midi guitars soaring over the actual worst photos of Billy Crystal in existence is sublime
Billy crystals.
Would you say you've got the Oscar fever?
@@thomasb7347 I would! Still!!
@@thomasb7347I’ve had the Oscar fever for over 3 years and it shows no signs of slowing down. Extremely concerning for my health!
Gregg just barely keeping it together.
Mark sure isn't.
Gregg is a professional, not like Tim over there flubbing his lines.
@@zeldarms typical gregghead
Working so hard, he's breaking a sweat.
Greggheads forever
The tapping of the pipe to the rhythm by Gregg is the only indication of Gregg enjoying a song in On Cinema canon.
Probably only because it's about movies.
There is an ongoing thing with Gregg that he just hates music. Films that feature music as part of the story are his least favorite. He called 'Whiplash' a concert movie and he said that the music should've been taken out of 'A Star is Born'. And don't get him started on the One Direction movie. . .
@@BenMoranFilms Well the One Direction movie isn’t even a movie sooo
HOLY SHIT, That wasn't like an anger or annoyed tapping either .. he was doing it to the rhythm so he was legit enjoying it.
@@BenMoranFilms lol he hates documentaries and made for TV movies too
Here's a song about oscar
FT T oscer*
I want this played as they lower my casket
Oh man that’s funny
The 0.8 second image of Mark as W.C. Fields in his tuxedo is priceless.
And it looks like he's cracking XD
(1:32)
i got the who
Tim really knows how to get the most out of a C major chord.
Tim saying "my energy is great" like he's an old man in a nursing home or something lmao
Idk. That sounds more like middle age shit. Middle age people are always obsessed about vitality.
Elderly people take it as it comes.
Tim coming in at the wrong time twice with “who-“ immediately followed by the terrible midi solo was almost too much for my lungs to handle
"Who's gonna lose..." slays me.
Hahaha it flips the script! Oscar always focuses on the winners not the losers
How Heidecker keeps it together doing this is beyond me
it's not that tough, if you're a theater boy so you're unable to figure things out yourself, you just take a class on how to mentally focus and get in the zone during fking hilarious moments where you want to burst out laughing. It takes practice but isn't that tough plus he probably has signals to the producers to cut away from him when he's about to burst out laughing not to mention those "we'll be back" breaks are definitely mostly when the entire troop is in stitches.
1:16 is as good as it gets for unityheads
That 2 second cut to Proksch is gold 😘
Gregg is trying hard not to laugh during this.
The Mona Lisa smile 🤣
This year's version was a little more energetic. This one is great for relaxing to after a hard day at the office.
Dekkar remix 19 you mean?
Pop up some popcorn and hop on aboard
It actually helps me get through my work day. Ill be 6 feet in the hole than i just think "whos gonna win? whos gonna lose?"
@@mattbucchiotti3123 Please remember: There are no “winners and losers.” There are only losers.
I thought I was the only one that regularly throws different performances of Oscar Fever on the unwind. I agree 100%, this is a nice relaxed and low key Oscar Fever, perfect to play the first time you're welcoming someone into your home.
Love how the biggest tell for how hard mark is breaking is how violently his wine is shaking
I always picture David Byrne singing this
that's a perfect image +1
It reminds me a little bit of Uh-oh Loves Comes to Town
Omg, absolutely
Yes! It reminds me of his Psycho Killer performance in Stop Making Sense
That would actually be amazing
This song will be stuck in my head forever.
FOR REAL why is it such an earworm!?
I come back to it from time to time when it happens
I've sang it for years, I'm always grateful that my girlfriend understands it's such a catchy affliction🙏
I’ve been waking up with it in my head all week. Been singing it to my cat.
at this point it isnt even a song. it's an anthem
I love how you can see Gregg SEETHE at how great this performance was. Sublime.
The pipe-tap choreography is mesmerizing
Billy Crystals would be honored at this beautiful tribute
Writer, actor, director, producer...Billy Crystals
Brilly Cryket
i absolutely love seeing golden comedians like these 2 nearly breaking character....
Golden Age*
"I know everything's going to go really well "
0:41 the camera slowly drooping downward is a lovely touch 😆
1:12 makes me think that this is the first time Gregg is hearing the tune. I have no idea how i could keep it together if i were him lol
Is it bad that I watch this like once a day
No, not at all. We can celebrate Oscars birthday year round.
Yes it's bad, I advice you to watch this at least twice a day
This video and the one with all the Oscer Fever versions
Greg Turkington is a fountain of enthusiasm. You couldn't have picked a better cohost to take it down to tinsel town. Truly the best films of a generations.
that tiny cut over to Mark is just perfect
I love the "Here we go" followed by the most ugly fake guitars I've ever heard.
This is such an incredible song by a host who just wants the audience to ENJOY! So refreshing!
Tim Heidecker is my favorite human man
WHO'S GONNA WINN WHO'S GONNA LOOSE? I am so darned excited
I'll never forget when Whoopi Goldberg lost the Oscars Championship in round 3
Write it once, repackage it forever = Winning formula
it’s now 2021. It’s a fact that Tim And Gregg are now the only people who can save the Oscars. I wish I was joking.
This truly was the right way to kick things off and get everyone in a good mood.
i just keep coming back here...... i can't stop.
yeah here again.
1:33 Mark breaking
Gregg came sooo close to breaking at 1:20
Gregg stood there sincerely in his hobbit outfit with that fucking pipe is perfect
It was all so simple back then. Can't we just go back to when everyone was friends?
Personally, I'd never fucking forgive that traitor.
I do always come back to this and repeat around 6 to 10 times
Ah, I see you have Oscar Fever too?
Amazing that we're still fortunate enough to receive these year after year
WHO'S WATCHING THIS TO GET HYPED FOR OSCER 2021?
Nobody cares about the oscars anymore
"We were the people who were not in the papers. We lived in the blank white spaces at the edges of print. It gave us more freedom. We lived in the gaps between the stories." - Dr. Luther San
Sounds like something imageboard users would say, but they lack the genuine humility.
@@neonfroot Very strange comment
1:15 that's true love
I love how Tim feels the need to kill any enthusiasm Gregg might have had for this event lol
PUT THAT AWAY
Top ten all time jam.
Hopefully this is the year Oscer recognizes The Hobbit
Great tribute to Bill Crystal for Oscer.
Yes: The point of this video is that Billy Crystal used to do songs like this when HE hosted the Oscars. And this guy looks up to Crystal. What an honor
I've got the Oscar Fever! Hope you got it too!
Pour me some bubbly now, it's... all you gotta do!
It's Christmas for Tinseltown; the Academy Awards.
Pop up some popcorn-nuhh... welcome aboard!
Who's gonna win? Who's gonna lose?

Where is lyrics meanings?
“That’s where the song ends.”

I see that fever and that hobbit pipe tapping and I can't get enough of it! I like to have fun!
This is the catchiest song I've ever heard!!!!!
His drunken rendition later in the episode with mark completely losing it is my fav.
Put that away
I love how they’re both awkwardly standing there lmaooooo
I love that there was such an effort to make the musical number relevant in this one
1:34 this cracked me up real bad
This is my jam!
I demand that Tim and Gregg host the oscars in 2019!
they both almost burst out laughing at 0:39 lmao
That’s where the song ends, cut the song
Nailed it.
1:18 How the fuck Gregg held it in so well is beyond me, I'd be keeled over lost in the maelstrom of the clash of laughter & pain.
“Who-
Whooo’s gonna win?

I'm starting to get the fever again! excited for Oscar night 2021!
Hope all my Greggheads here have the oscar fever! VFA all the way baby! Woo!
The beginning sounds very familiar to the music from the bomb-omb battlefield level in Super Mario 64
That's because Nintendo 64 music was MIDI just like this track. Also, I love flying out the cannon with the wing cap.
I have Oscars fever baby!
Gregg actively trying not to laugh and avoid eye contact with Tim at 0:35 is too good.
We’ve come so far from this place. I don’t even know how to explain it to my wife.
Good one Dunkey
"re-prize"
VIVA EL OSCER!
Never once has he come in right on all the “who” parts
"Alright thats where the song ends!"
"... Who-"
My grandma really like this song.
I've always found the academy awards to be societal vomitous, but with songs like these in them I'll forever have the oscar fever.
I give this 6 bags 🍿
I got the Oscar Fever!
Oh shit Jack Nicholson makes a cameo at 1:33
I actually didn't catch this years Oscars.. Who lost?
Those who died
*Oscer fever
Gregg is the ultimate hobbithead!
great job
thanks to will, we ALL got that Oscar fever
Great job
The original and the best
the more times the song showed up, the more it started sounding like a legitimate song
It xmas for tinsel town baby.
