“The other five teams are there to try and beat Lance Stroll”. Hahaha that’s funny
The Bearman hype is ridiculous. Tsunoda finished 9th on his debut and he's proven to be mediocre by F1 standards. Sure, he had more practice, but he was also in a MUCH slower car
I agree the hype is absurd, but I think Tsunoda’s raw pace is very fast. His race craft is an utter disaster though.
Nah tsunoda have proves himself recently he’s a solid a career midfield no.1 driver
@@SiegfriedDerDrachentoter He doesn’t have the capacity/race craft or temperament to be great, but he has good natural speed. He now no longer has spins and solo crashes and he’s way more careful not to get into dumb contact with other drivers. So, as he continues to mature, he’ll be one of the faster midfield level drivers.
Magnussen's debut deserves a mention on the list of great debuts. Second in his first race in a car which did not get on the podium the rest of the season. And brings the whole thing full circle as Bearman is poised to take Magnussen's place on the grid.
Nick devries had a great 1st race. Points scored in a Williams. We see what happened with that......
He was not as good as Bearman and hadn't achieved as much, besides, when he arrived in F1 he was already older than Verstappen.
@@juanfervalencia De Vries was literally F2 and FE champion. And I'd say scoring point in a Williams is more impressive than finishing 7th in the 2nd fastest car which really should have been 9th if Norris and Hamilton did a conventional strategy.
I think Bearman will be a goof future in he future but people are really overhyping this performance. Even Lawson jumped in and did a better job last year.
@@juanfervalencia I'd argue he had achieved more than Bearman, albeit mostly due to his longer track record (F2 champoion, Formula E champion, finishing 9th in a Williams rather than 7th in a Ferrari).
That said, the praise being heaped onto him after his Monza performance was similar to what Bearman is getting today. I'm not saying Bearman isn't a quality prospect, or that he's another De Vries, but Mark Hughes hinted that he might end up an all-time great, which is a bit much based on a single race.
@@jgagnier yeah he finished 7th in the 4th fastest car
He had no prep time, and it was a great drive on a scary track. So hats off.
But it isn't like Bearman is the reincarnation of Senna.
0 stop race means no strategy exists in a race. After the safety car most of the race was all decided. I spent a lot of that time wondering if F1 should become a spec racing series. Thankfully there were some fun battles to watch as well. I also wondered though if KMag should have got a Drive Through penalty instead of successive time penalties.
How about this: Once a driver has accumulated 15 seconds or more in time penalties, he has those penalties "converted" into a Drive Through which he must serve within 3 laps. This would prevent the case where a driver can get ahead (or stay ahead) by illegal actions and then be a roadblock while carrying massive time penalties. The drive through penalty would get the offending driver out of the way and stop the kind of shenanigans we saw from the HAAS team
It should alternate weekends between spec F1 chassis races where we can see amazing battles in equal machinery and the teams’ own chassis. That or two races each weekend, one for each.
@@The_ZeroLine How about you go watch F2 and leave F1 the way it was designed and meant to be.
@@mariusietswaard4353 What it was meant to be? You clearly have no idea what F1 has been and hasn’t been historically.
@@The_ZeroLine Not a fuckin spec series, thats for sure

The only one guy benefits. Its Fernando Alonso in Red Bull.
RBR would drop in form the very second that Alonso signed the contract. It's not often that he gets lucky, and when he does, it doesn't last.

The overhype of Oliver is REAL
Brits about a Brit. They haven’t had a stiffy since Norris entered the sport.
The media and fans expect _way too little_ of rookies these days. Apparently, many still haven’t noticed that every great star has been immediately fast from the word go. If a rookie is nowhere in the ballpark of their teammate immediately, they’re not a top shelf talent. It’s why I’m flabbergasted Sargeant has been given a second season to Stroll around F1.
For the record, I expected Bearman to deliver like this cause I rated him highly and because talent always shows immediately. And, with the second best car on the grid by a clear margin, he did that.
Ok, Verstappen x Russel in Mercedes, Hamilton x Leclerc in Ferrari, Alonso x Perez or Sainz at Red Bull would be a dream scenario for any F1 fan
"Why Norris escaped a jumped start penalty": Because he is british
Dry your eyes.
They literary explained it fully based on the rules, and no I'm not a British I just have ears.
@@florisbackx1744 Please enlighten us...
did you see the replay of his "jump start"?
It's based on a transponder detecting movement according to the explanation. The old rule was that as long as the grid box wasn't breached, it's not considered a jump start. Norris did neither trigger the transponder, nor leave his grid box.@@fabinho69fs

For RBR to switch car development to 2025, they can only realistically do it once they've learned and understood the limitations of the 2024 car.
Maybe they will want to swift masses a little bit, maybe the wheel base needs to change a little bit, maybe the SIP's position isn't optimal for this car's natural evolution, maybe the cooling layout was bit too radical, maybe not.
There are 1000 things to chop through first before they can even think about 2025.
If internet commenters had their way, they'd have Lewis & George both race endurance series where they have to adjust to the tendencies of the car so that they wouldn't complain so much about it. But one reason why Schumi struggled in the new era was because Schumi relied heavily on constant testing to understand what was happening with the car.
The counter to "Is Bearman proof teams are too conservative in their driver line up" : Mazipin, DeVries, and Sargent
One race is not a good reflection of overall talent, sorry
mazepin and sargeant are pay drivers
@sowa705 mazepin is (indirectly) but I don't think Sargent is though?
Mazepin doesn’t apply. It’s like pretending Stroll is there because he’s a veteran.
But I agree, a fear of rookies is utterly absurd. Every single start driver has been great from the word go.
Bearman finished 6th in f2 championship last year
Mazepin finished 5th his last year
Sargent finished 3rd in his
So how can it be said it is merit when his achievement is less?
Verstappen to Williams!!
I mean why not speculate that?!
Just as likely…
To think that Bearman could probably end up at Haas (according to all the speculation i've heard) - it's just tragic.
He probably will. Ferrari doesn't maintain the Sauber link anymore so Haas is the only option. Ferrari is set with Leclerc and Hamilton, and no other team would be incentivized to take him if he's still under Ferrari management. Sauber/Audi next year will probably end up being Sainz and maybe Danny Ric if he doesn't get Checo's seat. Williams will drop Sargent for Kimi.
@@parkercrossland410lol Danny taking checos seat. He will be lucky if he has a job next season at all, he can't even beat Tsunoda
@@hidden_name7469 Hey I'm just throwing it out there given all the narrative about it over the last 8 months. Personally I think Checo has been quite solid thus far this year and expect that to continue.
No Saint, that’s not how it works! Bearman is and will always be a Ferrari contracted driver and Haas (as a Ferrari affiliate) will be obliged to provide a seat for him to gain vital experience, until Ferrari F1 feel that it’s the right time to bring him over in to the main team. (All the F1 teams use similar methods to bring through their young drivers..)

Max looks visibly bored of easy winnings without having to fight for it. Every race is now a dull affair not only to us but to him as well. Race drivers thrive on adrenaline rush which the ultra superior RB19 and RB20 is not providing due to their dominance on the grid. With the skillset that Verstappen has, moving out to explore other competitive and more exciting pastures of race driving is high possibility for SuperMax.
If he came second in the championship then yes he would and yes he did however i dont think he's better than half the grid. So Max's replacement would still probably beat him
I'd say Perez with the backing of the team who currently prioritizes Max and builds everything around him (as they should), would comfortably win the championship.
He wouldn't win the title against a Leclerc, Norris or Alonso but against someone like Sainz or Albon he's definitely got a chance. People forget how good Force India/Racing Point Perez was.
I've literally heard people say Hulkenberg should replace Perez at Red Bull when Checo beat Hulk as team mates at Force India and is a better driver overall IMO.
@@areebsiddiqui758 I agree with you.

Norris is overrated and Alonso is good but I think Perez would give him run for his money . Also max would beat anyone easily
I think Perez is actually better than people think. Let him have a car designed around him and let’s see what happens. 🤔
The short answer is NO... The reasons get more complex for sure, but hes not a championship winning driver
Totaly agree. He has shown us many times that he is a mediocre mid field driver. I'm convinced that without all the sponsor money he brings. He would have been out of F1 a long time ago.
How quickly they forget. We were in the exact same spot last year.
Norris clearly left the starting box. His wheel was past the white line. He should've gotten a penalty. They're telling us to not believe our lying eyes, believe our BS sensor.
Just what I needed for a good night sleep.
Y'all said “if” Mag gives them a reason. He's def going to
7th as a fulltime driver acceptable? Maybe in a off day, but fulltime I would say no... Great debut, but that is a bit much
Why are you guys spinning this narrative? Why would MAX leave REDBULL?? and go exactly where?? Merc.!?!/!?
If KMag didn’t crash into Alex Albon, if Sauber didn’t ruin Zhou’s pit stop, and if Kmag was forced to give back the illegal overtake position to the Alphatauri, then would it have been Williams and Alex Albon 10th and in the points or Zhou Guanyu 10th with Sauber?
Sainz would be a good fit for bull. If max leaves, checo will have a small window to win a championship. He has to capitalize if max steps away
Why would he quit ? To stand below the podium and watch the awards ceremony ? Stop fantasizing !
Lot will also depend what kind of $$ he brings along, both Nico and Kevin don’t bring in much
Imagine no sabotage for Perez and all the things he had to endured thanks to Jos. Max didn't mind competing, but Jos does not want it.
What a race from Bearman and defense from Magnusen, drivers of the day. Red Bull is in real mess as its looks.
I like hulk to audi and zhou would be perfect for haas
Alonso to merc he's been spending a lot of time with russel
Zhou doesn't deserve an G1 seat. Safe pair of hands but ultimately just not that quick. He's a Giovinazzi or Vandoorne level driver. Far better alternatives than him out there. He shouldn't have an F1 drive over the likes of Pourchaire and Lawson.
It’s funny how desperately F1 media always has to try to look for positives. We need a series, which includes both the teams’ chassis and a spec F1 chassis. Either alternate weekends in which one is raced or have two races per weekend. That way we can get actually amazing racing guaranteed + the whole “purity” thing too.
The whole identity of formula 1 is the car development, you are 99% of all the other series to see drivers in equal spec cars.
@@florisbackx1744 If you noticed, I said wanted to keep the custom cars too…and, as I told someone else, you don’t know the history of F1 if you think bespoke cars is 99% of what Formula 1 is about.

Why are we even talking about this? Red Bull has caught magic in a bottle with their car. Why in the world would a guy who self professes to be "only about the wins" be walking away from the best car. He still has a lot to prove and accomplish before inventing new challenges for himself.
Obviously yes
How long are the odds on Hamilton to Red Bull, Verstappen to Ferrari/Mercedes
About 32inch
Valtteri is a very good driver - Sauber is a weak team. It's a pity that L.Stroll is at Aston because Valtteri would fit well there!
You should treat Lance as joint owner of AM along with his father. Lance will continue to drive there until Lance decides that he’s had enough fun.
Most likely Perez will benefit, and Max will lose at Mercedes because to win a Championship you have to have a Powerful car like R20 or R21 coming in 2025
Oh stop
Anybody else feel like Red Bull should encourage the Verstappens not to let the screen door hit them in the backside on their way out the door?
Yes please leave the best car you will ever sit in to go race in something inferior. Then when you are finishing 3rd or 4th and letting someone else (Albon, Tsunoda, Riccardo, Perez, Lawson,...whoever) dominate the series we can finally put to bed the Car v Driver argument.
Lol
Schumacher needs to replace Hamilton that news then Mercedes will have 2 F2 champion not old timers coming in
Business wise that would fit Toto’s long term plans nicely I think. George will probably be quite comfortable with that and Schumi’s family will continue to support the team, so I would say that’s quite a logical move..
Let me see. Would the #2 driver, in the BEST CAR, benefit if the best driver in the world went to another team? What do you think…
dont forget if they put alonso in that seat then Perez would not benefot at all.
I think he wouldn't cause he jsut hasen't got what it takes.
@@heideroosje12Perez would look as foolish against Alonso as he does compared to Max.
I've been saying this once the Silly Season craziness started here. He was fairly competitive with Max last year at the beginning of the season. because the car was the closest to Perez's driving style better than the upgrades that have come to the RB19 and now developed into the RB20. But clearly Max's style is much faster and at odds with Sergio's. No, I'm not saying he's going to dominate like Max has, but we actually don't know that nor does he need to dominate like that to win the championship. I'm going to assume if that was the case they would make the car more neutral so that both drivers can easily compete for wins play cover for each other and help within strategy not to mention Dominate and earn more money. But the weird thing is they could do that they just prefer to develop the fastest car that Max can handle. So if it was for Chaco it would be the same. They were developed the car for more fun and feel and they would do it to check those best abilities. So the car might actually be just as fast just in a different way. But if you're actually asking me who's faster it's Max. Sergio may have won two races last year but one of them was because Max had a reliability issue with his drive shaft failing but even though I started outside the top 10 he still made it to within 5 Seconds of Checo. I truly think you could throw Max in any one of the top four cars Red Bull Ferrari McLaren Mercedes and he would be Podium every race and sporadic wins if not at least consistent wins. And when I say consistent, I mean consistent to pre Max domination. The Goodyear in a car that's not the top car would be anywhere from 2 to 4 wins five is the very upper level of average
You do know team orders exist right?
@@SD-mi2vc when did I say they didn't?

now can anyone explain why max would ever want to leave redbull?😂
So the second half of the field is trying to beat „the worst of the top five“ aka lance stroll 🤣🤪
Sainz is better than Leclerc.
No, he would just get Dominated by the next alpha driver.
Hilarious click bait header LOL. Without even hearing the first word uttered isn't it intuitively obvious that Perez would benefit? Max in an inferior car from another team say for 2025 with him having to learn a new team dynamic work with a different race engineer would level the playing field. Also the reality is RB is a design level above everyone else until 2026 when everything changes.
But if this F1 tectonic shift were too unfold for 2025 and Perez were to win a drivers championship it would be tainted. Because the best F1 driver for now and 2025 would have not been in the best car.
But there is an additional wild card in play for Perez..........Carlos. If Max bailed out Carlos would be formidable competition as a team mate on a one year deal.
I'll save everybody time....No he won't
So next race, everyone will move slightly to not trigger the transponder, but still do a jumpstart. Pathetic FIA.
I doubt Norris benefited from the jump start. (It doesn't mean he didn't deserve a penalty, IMO) but since there was no gain, I don't think others will try next race.
Why move slightly if if doesn’t help?
Kmag should be disqualified for his behavior on the track then being a bus stop he should be give 10 seconds penalty in the next race because that's unsportsmanlike.
