The Bentley Continental GT Speed is the fastest, sharpest Conti ever produced and promises to bring the big GT out of its comfort with much-improved dynamics. And yet, with a kerb weight in excess of 2.2 tonnes, can it hold a candle to lighter rivals such as the Aston Martin DBS? And even if it can, has it sacrificed the Continental’s GT credentials in the pursuit of more speed? James Dennison heads to Wales to find out.

If James Bond were to change his mind and pick a car aside from Q Branch's Aston to remain incognito until otherwise, then a Bentley Continental GT Speed would be a fine addition to drive, Ian Fleming would approve too.

Great video. Personally, I love the car, but hate that specification - so much so that if somebody gave me this car for free, I'd honestly be in two minds as to whether or not I'd take it.
Oh, by the way - Bentley is the original Bond car, not Aston Martin.

Fun fact: magenta isn't a real color, it does not exist anywhere on the EM spectrum, it is the product of a couple of colors overlaid that your brain cannot reconcile and so what you see is something that technically doesn't exist. The same goes for pink.

There’s only a few cars that have pulled off a traditionally “feminine” color, and only one that I truly love. The Dodge Challenger SRT in Plum Crazy purple looks the business. The magenta (pink) just doesn’t work on a stately Bentley and it’s extremely distracting from an otherwise handsome GT.

Why would you get a murdered out Bentley, it looks like nothing, even in bright pink. Rear lights look dated already. Needs a facelift.
