Funnily enough, the ending of henry danger occurred well after dan left the network, most of the second half of it is actually pretty entertaining. Running gags, good action, not too cringey meta humor, and yea the 4 part finale was a pretty decent watch. As soon as dan left it really shifted in quality which i find hysterical how obvious the change is

I will say that Henry Danger is far from being forgotten. Just a few days before this video came out, TeenNick aired the show for an entire week, with no breaks.
Itâs also on Netflix and is on the top ten

I remeber that Game Shakers was so confusing to me even as a kid. They have only 1 person in the entire group coding and making the assets of the games from scratch in a less than ideal work environment while the rest of the crew just goofs around and burns all their budget and savings of the company on stupid and unnecesary shit and sometimes even sabotaging or interrupting the only individual that is doing all the work. I know it's supposed to not be realistic at all, but that was something that always baffled me when I was younger. It's just a show that doesn't work at all.

You have 1 person doing all the hard work, 1 person pretending that is doing something while taking all the credit, 2 people doing absolutely nothing, and 1 man-child that probably uses the company as a tax shelter, all while having 0 chemistry and conection with each other. Compared for example with iCarly, where not only the main group has a more believable and dynamic friendship, but all of them had a clear part in the making of the show and they had a conection with it, so the success of the show feels more rewarding. You don't feel like the Game Shakers earned their ridiculous success.

One of the most interesting things I remember from Jenette McCurdy's book is how she mentioned since after everything came out they didn't want Dan Schneider on the set with actual children so he sat in a room way off set and gave notes from there. Apparently, it also made the cast's work days way longer. So I could definitely see why the quality of these shows was often worse than the others. (But I actually did quite enjoy Henry Danger haha)

The weirdest thing about henry danger and game shakers is that they actually are connected to the ICarly/Victorious universe, where elements and characters from those shows appear, but at the same time, those shows exist as actual shows, too. It implies a strange world where, for example, Nathan Cress exists as an actor who portrayed Freddie in the sitcom iCarly, but the events of iCarly and the characters also exist. Quinton Reviews is doing a massive series on those shows that goes into far more depth.

Danâs shows were always successful and well promoted. Other shows like True Jackson, How to Rock and other popular Nick shows didnât get the Dan treatment and only a few outside of the cartoons got similar treatment such as Big Time Rush but it still wasnât the full Dan treatment.

I feel like the biggest problem with channels like Nickelodeon is that they don't get why people watch TV. People don't watch TV for internet culture, they go to the internet for that.
why is it so hard for networks to realize that we just want good content with no strings attached đ
Not to mention the fact that they canât take criticism by making their evil characters that are supposed to be the good guys not make an effort in taking constructive criticism (looking at you, Carly Shay & Sam Puckett in the episode where you two young women were dealing with what your show would consider âmean commentsâ even though criticism is perfectly valid in Nickelodeon shows)
Ned's Declassified was better hands down in my opinion. I liked the cartoony humor mixed with real life. Something about it drew me. You get invested in most of the characters and they are likable as well.
Nedâs was Nickâs version of Scrubs. And I agree that the cartoony humor worked well. Big Time Rush was basically the same show but with a completely different cast.

That child actress that you said that you hate is actually really good, she has recurring roles in episodes of The Haunting Hour which really let her stretch her acting wings, especially in Really You, the 2-part pilot episode. she plays bratty, but then by the latter parts of the story you end up just totally on her side as her actress nails the confusion and fear of losing her mother as her mother's sanity is slowly chipped away by an evil doll, and only her brother is willing to be on her side anymore.
Also the Hannah Montana pilot had a neat take on the BFF finding out, as a bit of drama surfaces when backstage Lily slips and accidentally calls Miley Hannah while they are alone, unintentionally implying that now their friendship has been irreversibly tainted by the knowledge that she's famous.

Ah yes DanâŠalready read Jeanetteâs book. It was a page Turner for sure. Finished it in a day with how captivating her writing style was. The Creator is a creep, and just to make note for those who havenât read it yet, âThe Creatorâ is someone mentioned in the book, never addressed them by their name but we all know who sheâs referring to. The creator of this book Jeanette McCurdy is absolutely amazing as a writer. I thoroughly enjoyed this read and Iâm not one to read something in one sitting but it was THAT good of a read.

Decent kids' shows that got popular based on randomness and luck, a career that rapidly declined after a few big hits, rampant 2000s nostalgia for their classic shows, falling from grace in the public eye...
I would say that Dan's saving grace is that he made more shows that people look fondly at, and he would end them after a few years. By comparison, Butch only created two good shows, one of which got canceled, and the other got beaten to death.
Butch was just annoying, didn't do anything inappropriate like Dan.

I mean, if you grew up on those shows you don't see it as much, but I compare Fairy Odd Parents to shows like Peep and the big wide world and there's a big difference in gender roles in the shows. Their shows were crap XD It's amazing how much I notice in those shows that say a lot of things about the creators, and no one realizes until someone on the show comes out and speaks up.
As a kid, I even noticed what was wrong with some of their shows, by both creators, but I didn't think much of it until I was older. My mom and grandma the same way, noticed a little bit of stuff wrong with them, but never thought much of it. We see it now and it all makes sense...
Can we actually talk about how cool of a concept for a show what Mark described the ending of Henry Danger as? It'd be genuinely quite cool to see a more serious tone show about a few vigilantes living in a more cyberpunk city in Korea or Japan, forced to live off the grid as ghosts, seeking their own form of justice that goes beyond the limits of the law; not staring the folks from Henry Danger or ran on any children's network obviously, as it'd likely get quite dark at times, bringing in questions of morality and what is going too far when in pursuit of justice. Just feel like it'd be a really cool show that if done properly, would really captivate audiences and could really hit hard with some folks
Tbh it is. Even though they donât explore themes that dark. Henry danger has a lot of arcs focusing on how being a hero as a child, how working under his boss effects him, how hard it is to keep the secret up. There are points in time where he shows these emotions vividly.

One thing that makes Kid Danger even more baffling to me is that they hired Powerhouse Animation to do it, the studio responsible for Castlevania, Seis Manos, and Blood of Zeus which are all beautifully animated and intricate shows. I guess Nick just didnât want to put the money in for anything even close to that caliber though lol.
They also made the cutscenes in Sonic Origins, which look amazing.

I think an issue with Henry Danger is that they didn't cover the superhero content enough and did not feel like superheroes. It felt more like a buddy show where they just happened to be heroes. The show goes on so long that the characters seem so relaxed about the superhero stuff. It's normal to them.
I mean thatâs kinda how it would be like in real life, it says he got the job at 13 and he ends the show being around 17-18, so if he was doing sidekick work for that long and some of them being the same villain Iâm sure he wouldâve got used to it especially CptMan whoâs in his 30s

As some who grew up on Henry Danger and Game Shakers, I remember enjoying them both as a kid, especially Game Shakers. And watching them now, both shows became better in quality when Dan left. It's astounding how much a show can improve once Mr. Creepy Man leaves it. In terms of the shows when Dan was still on them, some jokes land while others don't, Game Shakers having more jokes that don't land. In all, I feel like when it comes to debates about whether a kids show still holds up, there's no way to make an unbiased choice as we still have nostolgia for either the show be debated, the shows before it, or the shows of now/the future.
Because Dan's honestly not a good writer. He's a good COMEDY writer but the writing itself falls flat and usually throws sense out the window in favor of absurdity and OTT comedy.
Facts. I actually enjoyed Henry Danger for what it is. Well, I might need to re watch it to confirm that. I never actually finished the series, and hearing that it gets better is kind of appealing.
Honestly I barely noticed a difference except they got a bit picky with their characters and characteristics due to cancel culture, Most people say it was better after he left because of who he is but watching it air on tv and watching it on streaming, I still can't see the difference.

Josh is Done is probably one of my favorite episodes of Drake and Josh. Ignoring the fact about what Drake was accused of following the show years later, he was on point with the acting especially in that scene. You could really feel the emotion from Drake's voice. đđ

I loved Henry Danger as a kid and grew up with it so personally I love it đ
I hated game shakers as a kid, but MAN this guy directed some great shows. I don't even mind Henry danger anymore, I didn't rlly like it as a kid but it was charming enough to keep me hooked back then.
I actually enjoyed Henry Danger after Dan stopped working on it. The early episodes are very different from what most people remember the show as. It became entertaining and while I was a little old for the show at that point I found some parts to be very funny. Game shakers on the other hand just felt like if iCarly was about video games, became confusing, and added the classic âstupid friendâ character

honestly Henry Danger felt the most well put together out of the current batch of nickelodeon sitcoms and i think itâs actually a pretty good show. it reaches a peak and decline gradually which kinda shows how grounded it is and itâs humor and nonsense land the most compared to game shakers and even the thundermans
i also think that jasper, while being the dumb gibby clone, is the most unique of the dumb characters. he doesnât say things completely out of left field and show an expression of some sort thatâs supposed to say âgo on, laugh at how stupid i amâ. plus i think his character matured as the show went on, along with the rest of the characters

Whatâs really wild is that technically Henry Danger and Game Shakers actually do exist in the same universe as Danâs other shows. I recently watched Quinton Reviewsâ hours long videos on shows from the Nickelodeon Sitcom Universe (iCarly, Victorious, and the first half of Sam & Cat so far) and he has whole segments on how the shows crossover with each other and other shows.
Like Helen from Drake & Josh appears in Victorious and Game Shakers. Stacy Dilson and Coco from Zoey 101 appear in Sam & Cat. Goomer from Sam & Cat appears in Henry Danger. And the weirdest one, Catâs brother whoâs mentioned throughout Victorious and Sam & Cat is implied to be the main villain in Henry Danger. Frankini-played by Ariana Grandeâs obnoxious older brother Frankie Grande-has Goomer as a sidekick or something, and Goomer mentions having previously worked with Frankiniâs sister.

i'm 18 and in college now and it's so weird watching a teen show and realizing that the characters are my age or younger
IKR and it's even crazier when the actors playing their teens look 21-25, some o them even look in their early 30s! At least I could kind of relate to Cat because she was shorter and more childish than everyone else, but she was kind of over steretyped at times.

Henry danger is actually quite good in the second half because the actors started writing the show instead of the original writers. (The show kinda completely changed in the comedy department after the writers changed to the cast which ended up to be really good) But yeah danger force and the animated spin off are both bad. Oh and also the ending was really dumb

Most of the finale was good Iâm just talking about the whole Charlotte and jasper and Henry in Japan or China or where ever they are, did Charlotte get powers? Is it just a digital implant? Is jasper only there because he kind of knows martial arts like, it was definitely rushed but still a good finale to a good series. I wish they didnât set up danger force in the finale tho. Wouldâve given more time to the characters we actually liked

And the sad thing it that he wasn't stupid at first. He was weird but relatble. After making gibi stupid for no reason, he made cat from victorious stupid in season 2 and it got worse with time. Then he had to have in every show of his, a "gibi character". The gibi that tried to go to webikon(however you write it) and had to deal with with "his grandfather who wanted a chicken soup and his little brother who yelled "happy birthday" and "French fries" "

I didnât think Henry danger was ever forgotten lol. Sometimes I would watch it if it was on tv and me and my family actually found it pretty funny most of the time. Yeah it did have its very cringy moments but I thought this was a good show. Obviously not as good as iCarly, Drake and Josh, Kenan and Kel, but it is better than the new garbage Nickelodeon is putting out.
I mean the kids growing up with Nick now will have fond memories I think Henry Danger was garbage but that's because I'm older and didn't grow up with it.

Zoey 101 was the closest to a proper drama he made, if by virtue of no laugh track present. There were some dumb jokes here and there but on the whole, it was more teen drama than zitcom

I was 8 when kid danger was released. I remember watching these with my sister who was similar in age. Iâm almost scared to look back and realize that this is who was responsible for a big part of my childhood. Shows like Kid Danger, The Thundermans, Game Shakers, and others were very very entertaining to me.

I found out about the rumors of Schneider in the mid-2000's reading the IMDB message boards (remember those) of Drake and Josh and Zoey 101, so the fact all that stuff is finally becoming more known in the mainstream feels both good and surreal.

Exactly. These shows arenât forgotten in the slightest. Its just that the people who grew up with them are probably teenagers or around that age now, so they havenât come back to it yet.
Typically you watch a show when youâre a kid, forget about it and distance yourself from it when youâre a teenager/young adult, and then when you fully grow up, you come back to it. And thats the cycle of nostalgia. An example of this is PokĂ©mon, it was really popular in the late 90âs, but then in the mid 00âs to early 10âs, it wasnât nearly as popular, but a couple of years later, everybody who grew up with it came back, and now Pokemon games are selling great again.
These shows are too recent, so of course nobody is talking about them. 5 to 10-ish years from now I am 100% sure we will see people reflecting back on mid-2010s Nickelodeon.

I loved Henry danger, it had its flaws but it was pretty good honestly, but comparatively to modern day options for programming that's not saying much.

FR I loved it and Thundermans. It was one of the only sitcoms I could keep up with and people knew when I mentioned it. Never thought I'd see it on a list of "forgotten Nickelodeon flops"
The gag at 19:59 is funnier than almost anything else from the other shows in this video. One Drake and Josh clip entirely outshines the other entire series.
I remember when I was really little, my parents put on games shaker occasionally, and I was dumb so I loved it, and there was an episode where the glasses girl finds a pet rat on the fucking subway and she has to release it and it was supposed to he an emotional scene and I fucking lost it and started bawling my eyes out

At first I liked danger force but even since I turned 14 it just seem like a bunch of kids yelling (I hope game shakers donât feel that way when I rewatch it and the earlier episodes of Henry danger is a bunch of screaming)
The second spinoff literally made a refrence to the dear sister skit from SNL, and of course, that one thing everyone finds suspicious, or as others say, "sus". It's trying that hard to be hip.

Actually, Mark, the key difference between Henry Danger and The Adventures of Kid Danger is that TAoKD is BATSHIT INSANE FOR NO REASON.
The show literally has an episode where charlotte merges with an octopus for some reason and then by the end of the episode charlotte merges with a car and becomes an octopus car thing.
I like to think they used the show as the dumping grounds for ideas that the writers thought were too hard to do in live action, but the problem is all those ideas happened to be shit.
I wonder if Schnider made a deal with a demon where he got; fame and writing skills but he had to sacrifice his ability to be attracted to people his own age.đ€

when you talked about the whole thing about people finding they are superheros or something plot. I thought about how good Lab Rats did that with Principal Perry and how how you've got to know her character for two seasons and how she kept being suspicious of them through out that time with how werid stuff kept happening with them around. it felt so satisfying when she finally found out after all that time and felt like a good ending to that arc of her character!!

when you talked about forgotten disney XD shows I was surprised you didn't mention Gamer's Guide to Practically Everything.
When Game Shakers came out I guess Disney felt the need to co pete with their own gamer show, but didn't have an idea for an actual plot, so it just kind of became random stuff with a will-they-wont they ship plot thrown in. it felt so hollow and empty but 14 year old me was obsessed with the theme song so I sadly, paid for the episodes anyway.

As someone who group up with Henry danger, itâs a lot easier to enjoy it when you have nostalgia, the later seasons are definitely a lot better though
The Adventures of Kid Danger looks like GoAnimate but with a budget of one pound.
I think this is the closest Nickelodeon got to having their own Wizards of Waverly Place with the story arcs, more serious moments that no Nickelodeon sitcom had up to that point, and the drama of Henry keeping his superhero secret and one by one over the shows run find out about it. I gotta say from the guy with a foot fetish, and one of the story writers of the live action Inspector Gadget movie it couldâve been a lot worse.

I rewatched Wizards recently and it held up better then any Disney Channel show I seen. I forgot why it was honestly my favorite growing up.
