- Well I apologize in advance for the negativity, this is not one of my favourite years, but I don't won't to leave all the years I don't like to last, otherwise there's no way I'll finish this :) This year is really a pile of cheese, so yeah I know I'm repeating myself a bit in the comments.

My Top 5: Francia, Suecia, España, Italia, Portugal..
Positive: we have the same winner. I really like 'Siléncio e tanta gente' from the first beginning, and still today.
MY Top 6 : 1. ITA 2. POR 3. AUT 4. UK 5. SPA 6. GER ... while Italy and Portugal playing in another league. Two of my all time favorites.
With Austria I love the lyrics so much and the retro-sound. Germany would be higher if she had not ruined the performance. In the German National Final she was so relaxed. In an interview, mary roos told that on the day of the final she heard that her husband was cheating on her and got a child from another woman. She was in shock.
By far the worst in this year was Switzerland. The lyrics are horrible. Schlager of the worst kind.
Also in other years our taste is often very similar. Really like your videos and Comments. You always "hit the nail on the head"

I actually enjoy this year, I think that there were some good songs.
I think that if Sophie wasn't that nervous, she could definitely be a worthy winner of the year.

I have to be honest, here, we don't agree very much. I love Finland and France! For me, Belgium is really creepy. Ireland, Italy and Portugal are my favorites here. I have to agree that 80's style is not the best, tho... as always, it's a pleasure to read your comments!
I can understand Portugal, but the UK on 2? They came straigth out of Eastenders.....Ik hou van jou from Maribelle is one of the most covered songs in Belgium and Holland, it a simple small lullaby.....
I love the Supremes sound, the song is just joyfull to me, but I agree it's not exactly the most sophisticated eurovision entry, pretty basic if i'm honest about it. Still in this year I can't help but being charmed.
I just don't connect to ik hou van jou, it's nice, but it doesn't standout personally. I understand the appeal to other people i suppose
In my view the Italian entry has never been bettered.

IMO 1984,1989, and 2011 were the worst years in the entire history of the contest.
I think my least favourites are 1985, 86 and 87, it'll be very difficult to go through those. Oh and I really dislike the early 2000s as well, up to 2005 basically. Why 2011? It's probably one of the weakest in recent years but idk in the whole contest seems a bit harsh!
