I absolutely agree with you! An effects path would have done the Vox MV50 Brian May a lot of good. What I don't understand is the fact that the Vox AmPlug2 Brian May has a delay, a phaser and a chorus in addition to the built-in treble booster - but the Vox MV50 Brian May does not.
I would still be interested in whether the Vox MV50 Brian May can be connected to a full-range active cabinet?

Hey Mic, firstly thanks so much for your comment! You are absolutely correct! I'm really not sure why they did it this way! I'm not sure if maybe they wanted to emulate the original amp and leave it out? But still it's a pity because it really would have been perfect with it! It's still a great little amp though! Do you have it? Vox is such an underrated brand I feel! Not many new players talk a about it enough. Maybe it's a bit out of fashion? Cheers from the UK !

I will most likely not buy the Vox MV50 Brian May, but I own the AmPlug2 Brian May three times. I really hope that Vox will release the AmPlug2 (with all effects) as a floor pedal, so I may not buy the MV50. I'm a big fan of the Vox sound, and play my Dansan Red Special (Masterbuilt in France) through a Vox AC30 BM Custom Limeted Edition and two other Vox AC30/6 TB reissues in a wet/dry/wet setup, among other tube amps and other guitars. Sounds killer good! :-)

The trick I came up with is to not use the internal treble booster… I can run my effect’s through the front… external treble booster.. noise gate and delay.. problem solved lol
