Took my e-scooter out for first real day of playing with it.
Still scared to death of putting it in a higher gear having NOT ridden a skateboard or scooter in my life.
Getting the hang of cornering and turning (one being sharper than the other).
Did put 17.7 miles on it.

@@papablueshirt Oh, it's an interesting adventure for sure. I start “scootin'”, and next thing I feel my thighs burning from standing. E-bikes don't have that issue.
However, it is fun, even though I'm just getting started. Hey I have hit the top speed of 13 mph, in speed 1 (Granny Gear).
I figure maybe as soon as 3-4 more good rides, I might graduate to speed/gear 2. Not sure of the speed of that, thinking mid to upper 20s.
The idea of this 70 yr old going 40 mph 6-8 inches above the ground scares the heck out of me. Heck, if I put it in speed/gear 3 (the highest) and hit 40-43 mph, I may have a heart attack and that will be it, as the crash and burn will probably be seen for miles along with the ear-piercing scream...lol
I hope your doing some recording as this could be the start of your new channel. The crazy scootin 70 year old, I think that would be fun to watch : )

Hi P.B.S ! Question. I am considering replacing my rear hub motor with a 26x4 5000 w 170 mm or 190 mm motor on my H8. The only problem is I dont have a digital caliper to measure the drop out. I used a tape measure but not certain of the results. Would you happen to know what the drop out is? I need to get the correct drop out in m.m. to buy the correct size hub motor. Please let me know. Thank you!
I don't know off hand what the size is. I have a digital caliper somewhere if I can find it I will let you know what i come up with. Thanks

I found my caliper, however it only goes up to 155mm so it was not big enough. I did measure with a tape measure, it is kind of hard to do with the wheel in place but eyeballing it I come up with around 7.5 inches which is 190.5 mm. It was really hard to be sure, so take that with a grain of salt. When I get back from my ride I will try to find a manual caliper and see if I can get a better read.
