Sometimes its therapeutic for the client to talk to someone. As an LMT if they talk to me I'll talk back, as long as they aren't holding or tensing their muscles and continuing to breathe, it's fine. It's their session if they want to talk through it, and it doesn't interfere, it doesn't mean they aren't relaxed. I'm fine with talking but I never initiate it and I let them talk about whatever they want. I try not to steer the conversation to myself. But personally, I really don't mind.
Goes to show that MT is not only therapeutic in a mechanical way, but also in a therapeutic way. She's talking quite a bit, and I'm sure it helps her unwind.
