  • Hausa violin, called "Gogue" (Hausa name for the instrument) is one of many names for a variety of one- and two-string fiddles. Snake or lizard skin covers a bowl of gourd and a string of horsehair hanging over the deck. The goje is played with a bowstring. It's commonly used to accompany song and usually played as a solo instrument, although it is also present in all other stringed instruments.

      Sahel Music is pentatonic, same as Eastern Music
