I am a Kenyan but I feel proud when listening to Zambian national anthem. It's actually a prayer for Zambia and the whole of Africa.

No my dear. We did not copy if from South Africa. Actually the one who wrote this National Anthem and the South African Anthem was the same man Enock Sontonga. Zambian National Anthem was the first one to be written because we got independence before South Africa got it's own independence. That's why Zambia and South Africa are Best friends. If you doubt, check the history and you will find out that our first president Dr K kaunda helped RSA much for it to attain it's independence.

@@leahchitonge6943 Just give credit to Enoch Sotonga South African who compose this song, we use to sing it in South Africa before Zambia got its indepedence 1897.

@@bonganisibiya9309 Who doesn't give him credit? And even so does it matter? The music was written by a Christian minister from South Africa as a church hyme. The song was then banned by the apartheid regime as it became one of the songs for the freedom fighters. In solidarity with south Africa and as a way for African unity, several countries specifically in East and Southern Africa started using the anthem as their national anthems to support their black counterparts in South Africa. ... Several countries later dropped the anthem and replaced it with something else. However, Zambia and Tanzania kept even after the fall of apartheid... A lot of people were killed in their countries for daring to support you people when you were down. Learn the how to say thank you. No one copied you kmt
