No my dear. We did not copy if from South Africa. Actually the one who wrote this National Anthem and the South African Anthem was the same man Enock Sontonga. Zambian National Anthem was the first one to be written because we got independence before South Africa got it's own independence. That's why Zambia and South Africa are Best friends. If you doubt, check the history and you will find out that our first president Dr K kaunda helped RSA much for it to attain it's independence.

Several countries later dropped the anthem and replaced it with something else. However, Zambia and Tanzania kept even after the fall of apartheid... I am a Kenyan but I feel proud when listening to Zambian national anthem. It's actually a prayer for Zambia and the whole of Africa.
