The King and Queen Consort enjoy a concert during a reception of communities as their state visit to Germany draws to a close. Charles is gifted tea from a local business before enjoying a pint of beer in Hamburg. Report by Lizzie Ward.

The visit was a huge success. Not that King Charles was so committed to deliver his speech in German, they are an absolutely joyful couple and a delight to host. Needless to say that we adored HM The Queen, she was one of a kind and an excellent leader. She was admired and adored not only here but all over the world. King Charles will be another great King 👑

Busy itinerary but the King and Queen took it in their stride. The host nation got the tone just right, from the State banquet to showcasing small businesses and local products. Well done all.
I love how Charles appreciates the work of others, whether it's a performance offered or a product they make.

I was in the crowd at our town square today to welcome the king and queen. It was a beautiful experience. Everybody was relaxed and happy, although we had our typical rainy Hamburg weather. Of course most of the people couldn't see more than a wall of people and umbrellas, but the royal couple appeared at the balcony for a while, so everybody could see them and take fotos. Our politicians did a good job putting together an interesting and (hopefully) fun program for the visitors.

@Silver Fox While I'm sure others might appreciate you mansplaining things to them I do not. She is not in fact Her Majesty the Queen Consort. King is the highest rank in the monarchy. That is why we refer to his wife simply as Queen. That is also why we have never had a king consort while a Queen Regnant is on the throne because he would outrank his wife. Buckingham Palace has not confirmed that Camilla will be titled queen consort because consort is a position and not part of her title. They have however said she will be called Queen, just like the Queen Consorts before her. If you had paid attention, you would have noticed that when Queen Camilla relaunched her reading room formerly known as the Duchess of Cornwall's reading room it was simply the Queen's Reading Room. Not the Queen Consorts reading room. The fact that you used the wordage "presently correct" also tells me that you know that she will be just the Queen.

I think your King Charles and his Queen Consort Camilla have done a wonderful job in my native Germany. Everyone liked their familiar and friendky way how they treated the people. Everyone admired the King for his wisdom and the Queen Consort for her social engagement. Why do you care about Prince Harry and his wife when you British have such amazing ambassadors like them and the Prince and Princess of Wales?
