From Canada: watching our new monarch give his first Christmas address has moved me to tears. Having lost my husband this year, his message of love and light and hope, was especially meaningful.

Iâm not the biggest fan of the Royal family tbh but I was quite impressed that whilst we have a Govt trying to blame our emergency services fighting for better work conditions and fairer pay , for Charles to highlight how valuable these people are was a good reminder that they deserve so much better .

As a pastor and a Yank, I am impressed by the King's remarks by their generous inclusivity of other faiths and by the vision Charles shared of a social order characterized by compassion and neighbor-serving love. May it be so for the UK, the Commonwealth, and the world.
Charles said he is defender "of faith"...not "The Faith"...to make everyone inclusive.
Many of our religious leaders here n the USA who spread bigotry, homophobia, and live off of the tax free grift could learn a lot from this messageâŠ

I will admit I was skeptical of Charles. I'd of rather William be King. But after seeing this speech, I believe he's not only stepped into his role but stepped up to his role. He's ensured that everyone is included in this holiday season, not just those who believe in christmas.
it would have been so wrong to deny Charles his right to be King after he has waited his whole life to do so. . Depending on his health it may not be for too long and I'm sure William is happy to wait in line. Wiliiam & Catherine will be such a great King & Queen.Consort.

You realize this speech was of course written by other people, right? Also the intention is always to sound good to our ears, not to reflect how they actually feel in their heart. Itâs more proper to judge him as a king by what he does or doesnât actually do.

We lost our mom three weeks after the Queen died, so I know his pain. This speech particularly spoke to us and I am profoundly grateful. What a wonderful first Christmas speech!

I did not know how it would go this Christmas, but Charles' message was very personal and uplifting.
It was touching and he presented it very well.
The Royal Family should be shipped back to Germany as that is where they came from. In 1714 Prince Georg of Hannover was invited to Britain to become king. George I, II, III, IV and William IV all had German wives. Queen Victoria had a German husband; Gerorge V had a German wife. There is very little that is remotely English about the royal family. In 1917, they changed their family name from Saxe-Coburg-Gotha to Windsor to lessen their German affiliations at a time of war with Germany, especially when Gotha aero-planes were dropping bombs on London! The British should ditch the monarchy and declare a republic.

May our young people redeem the mistakes of previous generations and heal this planet. May we all have peace, justice, and love in our lives in the years ahead. May we all move closer in our relationship to the Divine and realise that this life is not the ultimate reality. Was there ever a man more ready to take over the British throne than this one? He appears to have found his footing very quickly. A nice balance of reverence for his mum, religion, society's heroes and family PR. Not a wonky foot put forward.

No, the Throne of England does not belong to the House of Windsor as they are only historical titular heads. It does NOT belong to all the non Christian religions of the world. THAT THRONE IS THE BIBLICAL THRONE OF DAVID THAT BELONGS TO CHRIST AT HIS SOON SECOND COMING where He will end up governing the whole world. To share it with all the pagan religions of the world will bring judgment to Britain and the Commonwealth in the same manner the wicked King Manasseh did when he reigned on that promised throne. Like Manasseh, King Charles refuses to take the real Coronation Oath to defend the Protestant Reformed Faith of the realm Woe onto Britain if another king does what Manasseh did to incur God's wrath. If Britain and the Commonwealth do not accept the rightful owner of that Throne, He will reject them with vengeance. See 2 Kings: chapter 21.

Time to abolish this outdated monarchy. This king's mother ,the so-called 'Queen' left behind a legacy of denial of treacherous plunder from nations, killing of innocent, unarmed civilians through inhuman laws and staying defiant on the crimes against humanity that her Empire perpetrated. She had 70 years to openly repent for their actions, but never once did I hear I'm sorry, or please forgive us, not once. She also had all the time in the world to return some or all of the stolen stones and artifacts from Africa and Indian subcontinent but never did. The torture, and Mutilation of people in the colonies can never be forgotten, or forgiven. She must be remembered in the light of her greedy, selfish actions and not some romanticized, redundant title. May those who perished because of her family's greed find peace. May humanity be spared from such characters in future. ..
Like the shining star in the heavens calling the Three Wisemen, King Charles Christmas message is brilliant. He has so much good to offer.
My mom passed away nearly 20 years ago now. She was relatively still quite young when we lost her to cancer. Christmas was when she did the most for celebrating. We all went all out. Treats, decorations, everything. It's still bittersweet in a way, but the magic of Christmas is beyond presents and traditions. It is embued with hope and love that those that are not with us physically will always be with us in our hearts. Until we meet again.

What a wonderfully inclusive speech by our new King. I love how he has kept with our late Queen's tradition of focusing on people, community etc whilst putting his own personal twist on it by speaking from the Chapel at Windsor, instead of the desk in Buckingham palace. Bravo. And I'm sure it has been a difficult Christmas, missing such an amazing lady as Our Queen.

Prince Charles is a man who has just lost his mother, his son has left the family, his brother is a pervert and he lost his first wife in an accident. However, seeing him deliver a message of good faith and positivity encourages me to keep strong, because I am struggling right now with my own family problems on Xmas day.

That was a beautiful speech thank you dear King Charles. I live across the sea in the commonwealth and this speech brought a lump to my throat as Christmas is always hard for me and my family with the loss of my brother but I always want to help others and strive to have compassion in my heart always.
