I just get this song. It does something to my feelings that no song has ever done. I have relied on this song alone to get through some very troubling times! Thanks Elvis from the bottom of my heart, it really saved my life ❤
Beautiful, I've always loved him. ❤️
@@CamilleLMacLean Me too! My best friend introduced me to his catalog of music in the 7th grade and he has been my favorite since! It's almost like his music got me and is the soundtrack to my life. I know more about him now and I understand why I relate to him more than any other performer.
I saw him sing this song in New York City in 1996. When he sang the bridge--and especially, the second 'hurt'--it was an amazing moment; I'd seen never seen or heard him sing that way; and the double meaning of that last line. Great.
@@craigsmith8320 Exactly! The album he did with Burt Bacharach has a few songs where he does that! I've seen him four times and he always delivers a moment where you are rendered into an overwhelming flush of emotions! I can't wait to see him again!
James, I hear you and I feel the same!💜
This is the last EC tour I was able to attend. More appropriate than I would ever know.
Elvis wrote this amazing song with the great Burt Bacharach.
Will always be one of my favorite songs of all time..So underrated.
Wow what a nice melody. Heard it for the first time today. Never heard it before. Nice voice ❤️🇸🇪
What a powerful song, and just as James Calvert commented below, this song got me through some intense times.
Absolutely amazing performance of that song
That’s a HUUUGE vocal leap. That takes some doing. Superb.
I have been a Fan since the 80"s
Incredible performance!
Beautiful song. ❤❤❤
Say little Prayer for me please
🙏🤍🙏
`so so beautiful thank u !!!
Lovely song. Even with Costello. But of all singers, great singers????
What a cadeau!
But he did his best. Ever. And he knows it.
Such a great song.
Memories
Wow
Obrigado querido Elvis!
😍
What a beautiful song.
I love this music! Thank you! Brasil
Gracias por esta hermosura musical!!!! Saludos desde Buenos Aires!!!!!
Since he avoided the falsetto in the first two choruses I just assumed his voice had degraded too much to hit those notes any more, so I was extremely impressed when he unexpectedly started belting in head voice. I've always thought Elvis had a ridiculously powerful voice with great control and I've never understood how he incurs as much criticism for not being able to sing as he does. Bizarre really. Also, I'm guessing the concept behind this tour was that the wheel got spun and the song got played? Really cool 👏
Update: that look he gave his bassist for fucking up the end 😬
Beautiful, a little sad that he doesn't have the voice strength that he had when the album came out. The higher pitch in the song to me were the Fabulous part of this Fantastic! song.😍😍
see you soon in tokyo
Remember me!
I have no idea who said it but there's a quote "I'm a sucker for a minor chord" and this song hits some chords that just "shiver my timbers"
May Pang.
Do you remember Happy Together? Temple Hey Liverpool
Remember me?
Do you remember me?
My only explanation is that the director is related to the pianist.
5:28 - Is that Nardwuar? lmao
Love you mate and love this song and the intention of it. But there is no God. 2020 if there is a god where has he/she gone?
You can't find Him cuz you've stopped looking.
Is that James Hetfield from Metallica???
Lovely version! He can't perform it like that these days, his voice is shot unfortunately.
If it is ‘shot’ then it is because every night on every tour he puts in performances like that one for over two hours. Not many put in a shift like Elvis.
Indeed, he avoids the falsetto.
those screams he let out on Imperial Bedroom were unique and the real thing.
